I’m so thankful I got two sizes. The size I would normally pick was too small. Even the bigger size the waist was so tight and it was challenging to move my arms. But it was worth it! It looked so pretty and I got so many compliments.

Wore this for a Broadway opening on a chilly fall evening and received compliments from stylish New Yorkers all night. That waistband is TIGHT (no stretch), read the reviews to get the best idea of how to size up from your standard, friends! I usually wear a 2 and the UK 10/US 6 fit me perfectly. The combo of geometric lace and flowing chiffon as well as the juxtoposition of sheer and opaque gave this dress a unique, edgy look. I wore it with black leather ankle boots. Very cool.

This dress was my absolute favorite thing off the site. It feels glamorous and edgy at the same time. This designer does such an amazing job at playing with the silhouette of the dress to flatter your figure. The dress has a stiff lace top and it's the only time I ever fit in a size 8, size up because it gives no stretch. I wore this dress out to dinner and also to an event at a museum. I got so many compliments.

Love the style of Self Portrait dresses. They're stunning and unique. Could dress this one up or down. Wore this as a graduation guest dress. Go at least 2 sizes up. I'm typically a 0 or 00 on dresses, and I audibly exhaled when I unzipped this dress.

This dress runs very small! But! It still received a lot of compliments and the detail is beautiful. It was extremely comfortable for the dance floor, and just the right length.

Size 8 was too small. Size 10 was big on me, but I was still able to wear it.

Surprised by how much I loved this dress. It is classy, sexy, edgy, and fun all at the same time. Unfortunately could not get it zipped and there is zero stretch or give in the material so size up! Will definitely be renting again in the future in the right size. Looked great with over the knee suede black boots.

I love the lace look! The length of the fit was perfect - I like showing off my legs. It was comfortable but there is no stretch to this number and looking back I think a little bit more room in the chest area would have been perfect.

I rented this dress for a bachelorette party dinner and I got SO many compliments! It definitely runs small (i wear a 10 and i got a 14 and it was still tight on the ribcage).

I really loved this dress even though it was too big in the bust for me. Was definitely snug on the waist, but I think a size 10 would've been a better fit and that's the size I wanted, but it wasn't available for the weekend I needed it. All in all, got tons of compliments, but my favorite was from my own mother who said I looked like I came straight outta River Dance ;P

This dress was absolute perfection for a Haunted Mansion themed trip to Disneyland. I fit right in with the other spirits and got a slew of compliments. The only issue was that the waist/rib cage area was pretty snug, but I don’t know if it would have fit right in other areas if I would have sized up.

The band around the waistline was a bit tight, I would have been more comfortable in the next size up, but this worked well enough and it’s gorgeous!

I sucked it in to try on for a photo but there’s no way I could wear this to a dinner. I’m normally a 0 or 2 and the 6 did not work. The colors and vibe are very “Wednesday” in a good way, and the lace is beautiful. Just way too tight for my event.

Wore for my Christmas dinner party and felt like a modern day Martha Stewart. In love! Fit a bit tight around the shoulders and waist. Might size up if you don't like it tight. Length was perfect!

I followed other reviewer's advice and sized up in this style (sz 10 / US sz 6). The sleeves ended up being long but I was able to cuff them and it wasn't noticeable. Although the top portion is bandeau style under the lace, I was still able to wear a regular bra without it looking weird. The black straps looked like they were part of the dress. The chiffon on the skirt was great for dancing and twirling around.

I wore this for an awards banquet and received many compliments! I wore the 10, which is a size 6 US and I usually wear a 4 US. I was told the dress fit me perfectly and while it looked good, it was definitely tight in the waist. I also felt like my back fat was sticking out of the lacy "see through" part of the dress. I ended up buying shapewear which I've never worn, which helped a bit. Basically, the dress was fun and really cute, but not the most comfortable.

Based on other reviews and my larger bust I decided to size up. Normally a 4/6 but this is a size 12 and it fit well. Beautiful material, even through tights I could feel the soft skirt. The dark green and black was a nice change to the bright Kelly green normally worn on St. Patrick's Day.

The dress is so pretty and well made. The lace is thick and looks high end in combination with the chiffon. Loved the overall look. Everything fit well for a petite girl - I can see this being short on a regular height person. However, there is no give to the waist band. It was very tight - but I could still sit and breathe, and since the next size up was too big - I ended up just wearing the 4. I was still able to dance and eat in this dress. Def would recommend trying two sizes.

This was nice but a slightly odd mix of fabrics (stiff lace and flowy chiffon) and the see through bits with the long sleeve made it all a bit confused. Ended up not wearing it.

Too big, can’t wear it. Reviews warned this dress called for sizing up, so I jumped from usual dress size 4 to a 10 and it was enormous. I’m usually a size 2-4 on top and a size 6 on bottom (if fitted). Given that this is very loose below the waist, I’d recommend choosing your size based on the bust/waist alone, maybe one size up from usual. The sleeves were also comically long, which couldn’t be helped (cuffing them up shows, and they can’t be pushed up). Unique look, and the green was a little brighter in-person than I’d have liked for such an already-interesting dress.

I wasn't sure about wearing this to a work event but it was more a social/networking event so I did. I received so many compliments.
