I probably did not need to wear spanx, but am glad I did. The dress was extremely form fitting and showed every curve. The dress I wore had a lower cut back and the spanx, if worn properly, would have shown. I ended up having to fold the band down to my hips. It actually felt much better worn that way because they compress the rib cage making it difficult to breathe.

Spanx are wonderful, did a great job holding all of me in! Stylist on the phone helped me select the right size, which was really helpful. Nice and smooth fit, no bumps or buldges.

I have a love/hate relationship with spanx. This go-round, its all love, baby! These spanx stayed up all day/night long with NO ROLL DOWN! They had the right amount of compression so it didn't feel like I was waist training. A must-have wardrobe staple!

The leg bands may be the best part. Even though this is popular for midsection shaping...the best part is that this must have is nearly invisible because the edges on the legs and ribcage are hard to see even when worn with thin fabrics.

I wear these all the time. They are great for most lengths of dresses and under skirts and pants. Make sure you get them to your true size and not smaller thinking they are going to make you look smaller. If you get them to small, you are going to look stuffed into them and you are going to be uncomfortable. The fabric doesn't cling to your clothes and they are very breathable. Love them!

Make sure to get the long line version that goes from thigh to bra. This reduces the terrible bulge you could get if it ends at your waist. No muffin top!!

truthfully I didn't need it to fit into the dress. but I suffer from muffin top as many other women big or small does and it sucked those bad boys in, it did its job
