Loved this dress! A unique look in a crowd of mostly black dresses. Wore it to a black tie optional awards dinner. The material is nicely weighted with a little stretch (made for a comfortable fit that showed off my curves is a tastefully). Slit was just the right amount of sexy, too. Length was perfect for my height in an approximate 3in heel. I normally wear a 4 but the 10R was the right fit. Only issue: the collar was a little snug when fastened which I got used to after a few minutes. Could even be left undone.

Fits pretty snug! I usually wear a 4 in dresses, so I sized up per the suggestions from previous reviews. I ordered the 8R and had the 10R as back up; the 8R fit like a glove! The material is definitely form-fitting but still classy and elegant. Although the neck felt a bit tight, I was able to zip up the zipper all the way to the top with no problems. The art on the front and back of the dress added a unique touch, and I received tons of compliments throughout the night! Definitely a showstopper without being too flashy.

This dress is great! It fit so well everywhere, the fabric is thick and holds you in and really accentuates your figure. Such a quality dress, would definitely rent again.

I loved this dress! The fabric is thick and high quality. I had bought shapewear to use under it but I felt like the dress was structured enough so I didn't need it! My only complaint is the the neck was a little tight.

The 10L fit but the 8L fit like a glove. As other reviews have stated, the neck is super tight and I left it unzipped. Lots of compliments.

As mentioned by other reviewers, this dress runs small. Even when adjusting to US sizing, I still had to size up one from normal. I got lots of complements all evening! It was also very comfortable and I wore a regular bra. I personally didn't have issues with the neck being tight, but you could leave the zipper loose if needed.

As a nonbinary person, I was torn on how to dress for a black tie affair. Ultimately, I wanted to indulge the fantasy of a dramatic dress, but also keep it relatively masculine. This dress is the perfect balance with the high neck and dark navy color with heavy fabrics. The stretchy skirt section is comfortable for sitting and eating, while the non-stretch top stays smooth and beautiful all evening. Plus, I stood out with the unique, water color-esque panel. LOVE THIS DRESS!

I could not more highly recommend this dress. Thick, quality fabric and construction. Modest neckline set off by the slit. Definitely runs small. I normally wear a size 4/6 in designer gowns and wore a 10L in this one. I'm 5'7" and the long length was perfect with heels. I highly recommend searching "people like me" and reading their reviews to be able to determine size and length. This has always resulted in a perfect fit for me. As other's said, the neck was tight but wasn't a deal breaker. I could just pull it up some and it would loosen.

Wore this to a wedding and this dress made me feel so elegant! I absolutely loved this dress. The colorful panel and the slit made it more youthful for what is otherwise a conservative look. From the pictures I thought that the skirt of the dress was black, in reality, it is a dark blue.

Loved the fit of this dress. Fabric has the smallest bit of give, worked perfect with shape wear to smooth everything out :). Perfect dress for any special event when you want more than basic black!

Definitely a compliment worthy dress--I am a 2 but wore a 4. Big difference between the 2/4--I ordered both. It is right around neck as others have noted but not to the point where I wouldn't wear again.

Did NOT get the long, and I wore 4" heels, with a platform. Definitely only get the long if you're 5'10 or above and wearing VERY high heels. Not sure this will work for a woman who's petite, because the hem of the dress will pool and ruin the look. The slit in front is high, so if you're wearing shapewear it has to stop at the underpants line--ie, no shaping thighs. There is no give in the dress, so don't go small. Definitely size up on your backup.

I rented this dress for our annual New year's party, it made me feel special and beautiful... loved it definitely recommends it.

Perfect fit! Fabric has a fair amount of stretch and felt comfortable enough for dancing and sitting. No one else wore a similar style and she got a lot of compliments. Very pretty, classy dress.

I'm glad I opted for the size up. I'm often a size 4 but the size 6 was a better fit, still form fitting. Very comfortable. A little tight in the neck so I left the zipper open a bit in back.

Loved this dress!! Wore the 8R UK (4R US) which felt true to size. Thick fabric, hides lumps (but wouldnt be ideal in warmer months or climates). Lovely navy color and cool detail panel. Wearing 3 or 4 inch heels in this photo (I'm 5'6"). As others mentioned, neck felt tight when zipped all the way up but it was no problem to leave it open a smidge. High neckline felt appropriate for a work-oriented gala. I felt good in this dress.

First of all, I LOVED this dress! It was gorgeous, unique and very sharp looking. Something to note is that I'm 5' 3'' and had to get the dress hemmed and raise the bottom up by 4ish inches to prevent it from being too baggy and dragging on the floor- but, I was wearing flats. I ended up wearing the 6R size because the 4R was waayy too tight in the waist- I couldn't even get it on. Also, the neckline was surprisingly tight- I couldn't zip it up all the way. There was an inch unzipped but throughout a night of dancing, it was no problem. The waistline of the dress is also very snug, but very flattering. Plus, it's worth mentioning that the material of the dress is on the thicker side, so if you're moving a lot during an event, you'll probably end up warm. Overall, I would highly recommend this dress to anyone who is looking for a stunning, one-of-a-king style dress.

Wow! This dress is made of high quality and stretch fabric. The thickness allows it to hang nicely over curves. Some complain of the neck being tight. It's true, but I only left the hook undone at the top. So fun to wear and I received numerous compliments. I'm 5'6" tall and wore the Long with 3.5" heels. Usually wear a size 6 and chose the 10.

My dress arrived on a Friday for a Sunday wedding. Both my regular and back up sizes were too small. I contacted Rent the Runway at 5:00 PM and they fedexed another size for morning delivery. Be careful not to order your US Size, but refer to the size conversion chart for British Sizing... Several reviewers complained about the neck being tight, but for me it was comfortable.... Loved Loved this dress....

Wore this to a charity event at the Art Institute of Chicago and it was a perfectly complimentary dress for a gallery occasion! Super comfortable and somewhat thicker fabric which hides little imperfections really well. Neck was a little tight on me but otherwise great dress. I was worried the slit would be too high for me because I have a long torso but it was perfectly positioned. Would definitely rent this again.

I ordered something else online and it didn't fit and ended up going into the San Francisco store. The sales person talked me into it because I didn't want to try it on. Wow I am I glad I did it! Beautiful dress and I got so many compliments. I normally wear a size 8 and ended up wearing a 14. Definitely read the measurements on this one.

Classic shape with an artsy element. The material is very thick so it hides imperfections and a regular bra can be worn, always a bonus.

It was well fitting and the fabric is forgiving. The neck is a bit tight but I did wear it all the way zipped up.

I received soooooo many compliments on the dress and I absolutely loved the style. Wish I could keep it honestly. The fabric was great and there was stretch. I'm usually a size 8 or 6 in dresses depending on the style/fit. My initial plan was to order a backup in a size smaller which would have fit better but they didn't have any available. Therefore it could have been a little tighter but ordering it without the backup size I knew that would have been an issue. I would consider getting a back up in a size smaller to be safe.

Can't say enough good things about this dress. Felt great in all day and night for a friends wedding. The dress is made of a great quality fabric which will fit like a glove while keeping form. Neck was tight. It I zipped it up most of the way and no one would notice it wasn't completely closed. Would definitely rent again!

I received the 6R and 8R. I picked the 6R and fit like a glove (the dress was poofy in the lower back for the 8R). Super comfortable - regular bra, enough give, and quality fabric and design to hide all the bad. Received loads of compliments on the uniqueness. And as others commented, neck is too tight, but i just left that unzipped all night.

I wore this dress to the Opera News Awards- which was a work function for me. It was conservative enough for a work event, but with the slit in the front and tight fit, it was just sexy enough to still feel fun! The dress is navy, but I wore black shoes, shawl, bag and it still worked. At 5'2/5'3 the length was perfect with a platform heel. It was hard to send this one back!

One of my favorite rentals to date. This Solace London gown is beyond unique and fit amazingly. Running true to size, I'd recommend sizing up for backup. The bust and arm holes are pretty fitted with thick material, so you really do not need to wear a bra. I'd recommend this gown for A-C cup sizes since the bust is so tight. Hips and waist are also more fitted, but the fabric has some stretch that allows for movement. At 5'7", the long length was perfect with 3 inch heels. Love it with minimal accessories.
