Would be 5 stars if the waistband was just a little wider - I think it would be more flattering if it was. But I really loved wearing this fun skirt! I wore it w/ graphic tee and booties, but also w/ white Adidas sneakers earlier in the day. I'm barely 5' 4" and typically "midi" skirts aren't really "midi" length on me, but this one was and hit right about mid-calf, so if you're taller it might be more knee-length for you - still would look great though!

Other reviews repeatedly mentioned the incredible color. I was expecting red, but it's really more of a burnt orange -- or at least a reddish orange. It's definitely unique but don't expect to dress it as a red. The fabric is light, soft and comfy; great texture and layering. Waist band is a bit on the tighter side, with no stretch.

Runs big but there is something about it that is just captivating. Plus it is comfortable and such an unusual color. I ended up keeping it. Like it best with a bulky sweater and tan suede boots, which is not the photo I am submitting.

I opened the bag and immediately purchased. It can be dressed with a T-shirt, blouse, sweater, do versatile. It's a conversation starter. I was stopped by men and women to tell how much they loved the skirt. I had it altered after purchasing, too big in the waste.

I was worried that the skirt would be a little heavy with all the pleating and add to my hips but I think it's super flattering. It's an incredibly chic alternative to the standard pencil skirt for the office. It runs true to size and sits at your natural waist.

Love the color of this skirt. Size up - no stretch and runs small. Perfect for a vacation, as it doesn't wrinkle in suitcase.

I rented this skirt for a work party. I got a lot of compliments from coworkers. The skirt is a great color and has great movement. It has a little bit of weight to it as well so i stayed fairly warm in 40 degree weather. The skirt sits as a high waisted skirt. There is no give in the waist and found that part to be a little tight. The rest of the skirt fit perfectly.

I probably should’ve bought this- it’s super easy to wear and I could see it being a fall / holiday mainstay. Fits true to size and the interesting layered cut hides everything!

Received so many compliments on this skirt and still getting compliments from pictures. The fit was great and it's so comfortable. I like that it sits a bit higher on my waist. Considering buying I liked it so much.

It made me look so much bigger than I am. I know I’m a bigger person than a size zero (size 10) but this made me feel HUGE and I HATED myself in it.

I love this skirt so much! I wear an 8-10 normally and this fit really well -- not too tight; not too loose. It's so, so, so fun to wear. I wore it a number of times and would have worn it more had it not been time to return.

I wore this to a Thanksgiving dinner and had a number of compliements. It is long, but the layers and darker red color stand out and make this a really unique piece. The waist is a little tighter than you would expect for the size but was okay for me.

Was going to wear it for a work event but instead wore it for work and got a lot of compliments. You can dress up or dress it down. Would definitely rent again.

I rented this for a charity gala, but actually screwed up the dates and just wound up wearing to work. Nevertheless, I got tons of compliments and it was beautiful and soft. The skirt is nice and heavy feeling for fall. Sturdy! I would rent again when needed for something a little dressier than a standard work day :)

It was a perfect midi skirt for New Years. The skirt was a nice material and had a great shine to it. If you want it to sit very high waisted you might want to size down

I wore this to a ladies holiday party during the day, where I didn't know most of the guests. I received tons of compliments, which actually surprised me, and when I saw some of the women another time they said "you were the one with the pretty skirt!" I found it tight in the waist and almost didn't wear it. The hips were loose fitting, it was just the waist I had trouble with. Would consider renting again!

Wore this to a function for drinks and loved it. Was worried the layers would poof out over larger hips but they all lay nicely. It was a little more shiny in person than I anticipated but it worked and I still really liked it.

Love the skirt - a great sun-dried tomato color. Has great movement, and is very unique. The ruffles create some extra bulk near the waistline, which will make a narrow gal appear more hourglass, but for me it sent my hourglass physique into hyperdrive and i looked much bulkier there than i usually do. Still loved the skirt though!

Really fun skirt to dress up your outfit. Wore twice, once with a silk black shirt and leather jacket, once's with white shirt and sandals. There are a lot of layers on the skirt which make it a little poofy at the waist, can be a little unflattering in that sense. But if you wear with a jacket you can barely notice.

I LOVE the fabric of this skirt. It's enchanting and flows so beautifully. It just wasn't flattering on my body. I could've used an XS — I'm usually a S, but the S didn't stay at my natural waist. Additionally, because this has multiple layers that all stem from the waistband, it gave me a few extra inches around my hips that wasn't super flattering since I'm wide in the hips. Beautiful skirt, though. I may give the XS a try someday in the future. If you're in the fence via size, I'd size down, though.
