In a sea of black at a Gala for my industry (Interior Design), this dress stood out! Fit great, is comfortable to wear all night, and it definitely got noticed. I could have worn the 4, but when sitting down, the top side without the sleeve would have gaped open a little. The 2 was perfect. I don't have much of a waist, which is evident in this photo, but I do have a Behind and the dress allowed that to show in a good way as the side view. Did not flatten my small/ medium chest either (32C). Such a special dress I thoroughly enjoyed wearing and would rent again (except I like trying new things which is why I love RTR!) p.s. I often fall back on black, neutral, greys and this purple/ lavender was not too bright or crazy for me. The gold accents are lovely and look fantastic with strappy gold heels and some bling jewelry! And, I have ZERO tan yet for Spring and this dress enhanced my skin tone in its current pale state.

This dress fit me perfectly! I am always nervous with dresses because I am pretty busty (34G) but this was so cute and fit very well! It hid my tummy and was perfect length for my height. It was definitely a hit at the cocktail event I went to.

I wore this dress to my boyfriend's formal and it was so beautiful! I'm always a xs/0/25, and the 0 fit perfectly. I gave it 4 stars though because I wish it was a little bit more form fitting since I have a petite figure and it was loose around my waist, and it was a little longer than I would have liked, but other than that it was a gorgeous dress!

Fit well, true to size. I got size 2 as back up based on reviews saying it ran large, but that would definitely have been too snug. The zipper on the dress caught a bit. It was wedding appropriate with a shawl, and perfect for the reception with sexy one shoulder and shawl off. Light purple dress with pale gold shimmer, so definitely go for gold accessories instead of silver. It was super comfortable for the whole night, and I didn't feel too exposed or cold at any point. Had a blast in this dress! The RTR crew was great to work with, too. The dress wasn't going to make it to me because of the snow and ice, but they overnighted it to Atlanta. :)

The 6 fit but the zipper was a bit tricky over the bust area, so be careful when zipping up. The 8 was a little looser on top so I stuck with the 6.

i thought it was going to be mostly silvery, with a little lavender... But it's a beautiful plum purple color. I loved the texture of the fabric, it was very unique. the dress itself is flattering, comfortable, and fun!

I ordered a size down like many other reviewers recommended, but ended up wearing my normal dress size. It fits a little tight across the hips, so if you have bigger hips you'll probably want to order your normal size and a size up. I love the color especially because it's sparkly and shiny without being over the top. Would definitely recommend this dress!

The dress is really pretty and is a lot more glittery and gold than it looks online. It was absolutely perfect for the occasion and I got compliments the entire night! The fit is overall very true except that it does run a little big but that can easily be fixed with fashion tape if needed. Also, it was a little longer than i had anticipated it being. The sleeve fit very well and I was very impressed with the dress!

The dress was perfect for the event and I got so many compliments. The ruching at the waist was really flattering. The sleeve was tighter on my arm than it appears on the model picture but other than that it fit great!

I rented this dress for NYE. Its a pretty dress but has an awkward fit. I am a petite 5.1 tall woman with curves. I guess the issue with this dress was that I have bigger hips which streched the dress in that area making the dress create some layers right on my belly area making me look like I have tummy. I usually wear dress size 4 and ordered size 4 and 2. Size two fit perfect on top but because it was fit on the bottom too, the layers on the belly were too much. Size 4 was a bit lose on the top but created a little less layers on the belly, so I had to go with that. I guess a woman with little less curves and smaller hips would have a better fit in this dress.

I rented this dress for a work holiday cocktail party. I thought I'd be a size 4 (my usual dress size), but ordered the 2 as a backup. I'm so glad I did! The 2 fit perfectly, and the dress was a big hit. I loved the one-arm asymetric neckline, and a regular strapless bra worked just fine. Several people came up to tell me how much they liked the dress. I was super comfortable all night, and had no issues. I would rent it again.

I loved this dress and got so many compliments on it. I gained 40 pounds this year and didn't think anything would look good on me for a wedding, but I actually was able to fit comfortably into the 10 and felt confident.

This dress was so amazing and I was shocked at how well I really lked it and felt in it. It fit just right and I am on the busty side and its hard to find 'just right', but this was. Love it!!

The picture doesn't do this dress justice. The dress is beautiful and I received so many compliments all night! I wore this dress for a birthday party in Las Vegas, however, I would wear it for any occaision - a night out, a wedding, a formal, New Years, etc.

I'm usually a 6 or 8 depending on how much room there is in the chest. This had plenty of room so I went with the 6. You can't tell from the picture but the dress looks a bit more violet in person and the metallic threading is a bit more gold. The cut/style is very sophistocated and flattering! Because of the metallic threading, there were some slight pulls here and there but nothing very noticeable.

This dress looks amazing on! It gives you shape without fitting too tight. I was able to standout without trying to hard. I usually am a size 10(in most clothes), but I wore a size 8 in this dress. In most Shoshanna dresses I typically wear a size 8. Make sure to pair with silver heels to get the most polished look.

I ordered a 8 and a 10 expecting the 8 to be too small on bottom and for the 10 to be too large on top. The 10 was too large on top, but the 8 ended up fitting very well. The diagonal fabric gathering is very flattering.

What a stunner! This was a perfect dress for my birthday, and I received many compliments while out dancing. As far as fit is concerned, I usually wear a 0 or 2, and the 0 fit perfectly.

Loved it. I wore it to a rehearsal dinner in early fall and received tons of compliments. The dress runs large, so I would suggest renting a size down.

It was really cute other than at the ruching and sleeve. From straight on it was absolutely adorable. From either side, it looked like I was trying to hide a baby bump, the back fell a little weird from the sides making me look like I had mysterious lumps, and the sleeve was clearly way too large with too much fabric for my arm. The material is also not the most comfortable. The inside was silky but the outside where your sleeveless arm falls or anywhere you touch is rough and uncomfortable. Finally, it's very static-y. The top layer kept rising above the slip in the front which was very awkward. Don't get me wrong, I still liked it. I'm just a small person so it didn't work for me. I still wore it and had a great new years eve! I just wasn't dying to take too many photographs.

I rented this dress for my sorority's formal. While I decided to wear another dress, this was a very close second and I had to debate which one I wanted to wear for a long time. The thing that made me chose the other one was that the sleeve was a little awkward on me. I have skinny arms but semi-wide shoulders, so it just didn't look as good on me as it does on the model. That being said, the fabric is gorgeous and it's really light-weight and comfortable!

I normally wear a 2, but went with a 0 in this one. It was a little tighter across the hip area, but the sleeve fit much better. I wore a strapless bra with this one. It is a little bigger in the waist than I would have liked, but I have a smallish waist (about 26 inches). The one annoying thing is that the slip/lining is somehow longer than the dress. So it kept popping out. Not a huge deal as no one but me noticed but still annoying for a designer dress. Absolutely gorgeous though!

The dress fit fabulously and made my waste look super tiny. As a really hourglass woman, this fit over my hips/butt and looked great even with no stretch. I did use double sided tape to make it a touch shorter (it was new years after all!!) and it looked even better for it. A prettier lavender in real life that really popped in pictures. Loved it!

I love this dress! it was absolutely perfect for the party I was heading to. While it might have run a tiny bit large, i went with my true size just so I had a little more room.

I really liked this dress. It arrived in perfect condition. I was scared to order a smaller size then a 6, but in all reality a 4 probably would have fit like a glove. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the rouching layer at the stomach created a poof that wouldn't lay flat... no biggie.

This is such a fun dress and even better than it looks here. I unfortunatly wasnt able to wear it because it was just too large up top. In other shoshana dresses, i'm a true 12, but this dress was just huge on me. Definately go down a size on this one!

The dress fit well, but was a little bit scratchy around the neckline due to the sparkles. While I wear a size small, I do have a larger backside so I found the dress did hug my hips a bit. Overall- the dress looked good and I got compliments, just wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked.

Great dress if your less busty. The 6 was too tight and the 8 was baggy which is odd for this designer. She normally caters to a busty girl.

I didn't end up wearing the dress but it looked cute on! The only thing I didn't like was the itchy fabric.

I rented this as a back up to wear to my company Christmas party. The fit was very awkard on my hourglass figure. The top fit just fine, but the waist was a tad big and the bottom poofed out at the lower stomach and then was tight when you get to the hips/thighs. Since the fabric had no give, it looked like I had a huge poof at the lower stomach. Plus, the lining showed through the bottom of the dress, but that could be bc it was a tad tight in the hips. Good thing it was my back up. I am putting true to size, because I think the top runs a tad big, and the bottom may run a tad small, so average it out, and it's true to size!

This dress was very pretty and I received lots of compliments for it. Unfortunately, I thought the dress ran a little larger than expected. I recommend going down a size for the alternate size.
