The dress is VERY true to size. I'm a Size 10/12 in Banana Republic, this dress has almost no give/stretch, and I wore a size 14. I wouldn't say it runs small, I'd say it's bang on true to size, and that clothes from Banana etc, tend to run quite large. It's a GORGEOUS dress, I'd purchase it in a heart beat if it wasn't so expensive!.

TTS, I'm 5'8 and this wasn't super short on me though if I wore the 8 it would have been tighter and rode up a bit. Size up if you're worried about length. Nice thick material, very comfortable and forgiving. Rented this for a baptism, didn't wind up wearing it because another dress won out, but I can't wait to wear this to another event.

Loved loved this dress! Fits like a glove and the scalloped detail on the sleeves and hem are beautiful. The only issue with this dress is the weight of the fabric. It's heavy but perfect for indoors or a cooler climate.

The reviews were spot on. Go one size up and this dress is magic. Wore it for my godsons christening. My regular size fit but much more firm fitting and shorter. The size up was loser and therefore longer and more appropriate for the event. Would absolutely rent again. Compliments all day.

Wore to a bat mitzvah and was the perfect dress for a daytime affair. Was comfortable, flattering and great for the transitional weather up here in the northeast. (It's a tad on the short side so keep that in mind...)

Very comfortable dress. Length was perfect, any shorter and I would of felt a little uncomfortable. Thicker material was forgiving and ideal for Spring outside wedding. Simple design was fun to accessorize, I rented the necklace to go with.

The fabric of the dress is very thick and has a little give. It's fitted without being tight. It is a little on the short side, but still could be worn to work event.

I rented this dress for a brunch/banquet that was dressy business-casual attire and it was perfect! It was just the right length for the little slit to be fun but not too much, and it was super easy to wear. I think I would've preferred the 10 (the 12 gave me a lot of extra room in the waist) but it was unavailable at the time.

Wore to work and some friends got married at the courthouse so it was perfect to go from work to their casual reception that was after work. Super comfortable, not too short and the blue is really pretty. I usually wear a size 27 pant, 4 or 6 dress - chose the size 6 for a little extra length. Would definitely rent again.

I loved this dress! It runs a bit small, so I was glad I opted for the 8 rather than my usual 6 after reading the reviews. It is really nicely tailored--shows your curves without SHOWING YOUR CURVES if you know what I mean. And the high neck and scalloped hem gives it a nice edge. I felt very business-like and sophisticated (and comfortable!) wearing it. Will definitely rent again. One not: I'm only 5' tall and the hem fell just above my knee--I think the skirt would be pretty short on someone of average or tall height.

The fit is perfect for someone with an hour glass or hour glass ish frame. It fit perfectly and was super flattering. It was not too short and was easily dressed up and down. I wore a nice statement necklace and booties with the dress to a fancy rehearsal dinner/casual after party and loved my look. The dress is very warm and thick so take that into consideration. It was October and a chilly day so it worked perfect for me.

Love the color and scallops on this dress - especially the sleeves! The fabric is on the thicker side and is forgiving (yay!). I ordered the 8 and there was a little room in the stomach but I didn't think it was noticeable - the 6 would have been to snug. I loved that it had enough structure that I didn't have to readjust it (and pull it down) when I stood up. The scalloped layer on the front of the skirt portion is sewn down so you don't have to worry about the wind blowing it up. The neck is pretty fitted so when you sit down sometimes you need to adjust it a bit, but I didn't think it was an issue. Looks great with a statement earring. Would rent again!

This is a comfortable alternative to the ubiquitous business sheath dress. I'm only 5'4" and this is a little short falling about 3 inches above the knee at the high ruffled split. Also I usually wear a 12 but that would have been too tight at the armpit and hips. Glad I sized up to the 14. I did really like it and would rent again

This dress is amazing for a formal event. It has a thicker material so not great for a hot summer event. My event was 70 and sunny and i thought it was perfect. I used it for my graduation and it was perfect length and color (Husky Blue!).

Overall a cute dress and very comfortable. I wore this while traveling for work and it held of great without wrinkles throughout the day.

This dress was amazing! It fits nicely and has some stretch to it. I wore it for an awards ceremony and got compliments all night. It does ride a little if you have a butt but it is long enough that you won't be exposed. Would definitely rent this one again. If you're inbetween sizes get your backup one size up.

I rented this for my 40th birthday and fell in love with it! It's a beautiful navy color and fits true to size. I decided to size up as it made dress longer and more appropriate for my work setting. It has beautiful detail around the arms and front of the dress. I would definitely rent again!

I thought I had ordered the next size up based on reviews but must have not. It is quite short and fit fairly snugly but i wore it with tights and a jacket so it worked. But agree with the other reviewers, it runs small.

I loved this material and the subtle design differences, but the cut was a little odd. It was a little too short in my opinion and the sleeves cut in a little more than I would have liked.

As others have said, it's a bit short - I wore with blackout tights and still felt a bit self conscious. That said, I got a ton of compliments- the color is so rich and lovely and the scalloped hem/sleeves add visual interest.
