Being a short person it is difficult to get a formal dress for black tie events. This was perfect! The high low cut allowed me to walk around without tripping over the dress but fell just below my knees so it was still appropriate for the dress code. I was able to wear a normal bra and any one of my black pairs of shoes, no need to buy something new to work with this dress! Great pick for winter or summer! I ended up wearing the 2 because the 0 was a little tight across my ribs. The 2 was perfect, never felt too tight but also never felt or looked too big. The length was better in person than the stock photo. I was really unsure about this dress when I ordered it but was much happier when it arrived. I would say this is way better in person! I would definitely recommend this!

I loved this dress! The pockets are deep (you can hold a cell phone) and the skirt is full enough to feel pretty but not overly poufy. I received many compliments and felt great.

This dress was perfect fir an outdoor winery affair that went from late afternoon to evening. The subtle high low gave it an added edge and the gold/black color scheme I was hoping for was readily achieved. The top fit perfectly for my smaller bust area.

I'm petite and although this dress is pretty full on the bottom, it still worked for me. Could have used a tiny bit more breathing room on too but it was ok - decided to stick with the 0 rather than the 2. Flattering around waist, love the pockets. Hoping to rent it again for a future occasion.

The dress has deep pockets on both sides, which easily fit my phone and a huge stack of business cards! It is the perfect dress if you feel like being modest for a formal affair. I was able to breathe easily the whole night. Also poofy in the best way. So glad I chose this one!

Beautiful dress and I loved the pockets! The fit was great, though the neckline was a little high for me. I'm 5'2" and a smaller bra size. Occasion was a fall, black-tie optional wedding and the couple's colors were black and gold so I fit in beautifully! I also received several compliments from friends and strangers.

Fit me well, comfortable all night. The 2 fit but was a bit snug at the waist, and given a night of eating, drinking and dancing, I wanted the roomier fit!

Fits just how you would expect. The loose fit of the skirt gave the perfectly breathe for a hot September ceremony. This dress could not have been more perfect for my Brother-in-law's wedding. Great for any season!

I rented this for a formal wedding and received so many compliments. Pockets were a added bonus to the dress. I will say that the dress in the chest runs a bit snug. I am a 36c and the dress does not show that because it was so snug, I did order the 10r as well but that one was a bit large on me.

I rented this dress for a late Fall wedding in New England (yes, it snowed on the big day)! I felt great in the dress and received a number of compliments. I really appreciated that I could wear a normal bra with it, as well as the fact that it has pockets! I would say it fits true to size, but will note that if you're busty you may want to size up. (I am not a busty person, and was surprised that I didn't need a padded bra to fill out the top of the dress.) Would rent again!

Fit me perfectly- I’m 5’ 7” , 135 pounds. Loved that it had pockets and didn’t need to stress about a necklace to go with it. Fitted bodice but flowing skirt was perfect for no after dinner uncomfortableness. Hi Lo coverage was perfect for me being self conscious about thighs but still exposed some leg. Lots of compliments!

It is a very supple dress. Other Shoshanna dresses are much heavier, this one is very light, but it does have a nice body. The pleat in the middle almost has too much body, but the flowers help visually with movement. My biggest disappointment is that the beautiful flowers are NOT lined up at the seams, that looks quite choppy. How are designers getting away with this? The mismatch is ok in less expensive prêt-a-porter but not in an elegant gown!!! Please bring back elegant sewing to elegant dresses!!! Other than that, fit was great and I did receive tons of compliments.

Ordered the 6 and 8. Despite having broad shoulders and a wide rib cage, the 6 which is my standard size, fit but I wore a different dress.

Loved this dress. I'm only 5'1 so finding a formal dress with an appropriate length is often tough, but this dress was sheer perfection! I went down a size, but I hover between the two sizes most days anyhow. I loved the pockets! Easy to toss your phone or ID in and ditch your bag. Love love love.

One of the most gorgeous, flattering and comfortable dresses I've ever worn. I tried both 6 and 8 and even though both fit fine, 8 fit bette around the chest area so ended up going with 8R. It's high quality, gold flower pattern are beautiful and it was super comfortable to wear. You can wear any bra. But the best part? POCKETS!! They are hidden and big enough to hold iPhone 8plus in a case. I put the rest of the essentials (keys, lipsticks) in the other pocket so went to the event without a purse/clutch - perfect during the reception (no juggling drink and purse) and dancing! I'd definitely rent this again.

I loved wearing this dress at last night's gala for work. The gold and black was much more beautiful in person. Very comfortable - no issues at all. Can go with gold or black jewelry - the earrings and clutch I also rented were perfect. Made for an awesome night!

I was thrilled with this dress, based on reviews I was confident that it would fit well and it did. I'm a usual size 0, pants 25, bust 34c, 5'2" and 107lbs. The hem hit at a nice place and the bodice was snug but not too tight. Fun fact, I found out I was pregnant the day after I ordered this dress and was almost 12w and showing (3rd baby) when I wore it. Because of the pleat placement in the front, it did accentuate my bump and made me look rounder than I really was, so if you have a full stomach be prepared to wear spanx or suck it in. The pleats started high enough under my bust that it was comfortable all night though. Bonus deep pockets to stuff my phone and my little boy's ties when they took them off :) Will definitely do RTR again if the occasion arises!

I wore the larger size due to its tight fit around the top - I have a wide back & shoulders. The dress floats nicely when walking, and was a great option for a black tie optional wedding. It was hot, because it is a lot of dress, but it was also an outdoor reception on a very hot day, so there was really no getting around it. I enjoyed wearing it!
