Forgiving and comfortable

I loved this dress, the polka dots were fun but not over the top, I fit right in at an upscale work Christmas party! The pockets were a lifesaver & didn't make my hips look wider, even with my phone inside. As others have said the top runs small/tight, but I was not uncomfortable & the fit on the rest was so good that I could tolerate it. I was glad to be able to wear regular undergarments & stand out without being flashy. Received many compliments, would rent again.

I went with the backup size because the six (normal size) was SO fitted that I was afraid on the 90+ deg day I’d be miserable. The 8 was just the slightest bit looser so I went with that for comfort. Definitely size up for your backup.

The dress was comfortable. It had pockets which I loved because you could put stuff in the pockets and it wasn’t visible. It’s a very light dress, tight on the top. So if you are really busty it may not work for you:))

Loved this dress. Wore it for a gala for my husband's office and it was perfect. The metallic dots dressed it up just enough. Fits true to size although the 6 was a little snug on top so I wore the 8. Pockets are always a plus and I was able to wear regular bra.

I loved the fitted torso and longer length.

The photos don't do the fabric justice, silver and gold metallic polka dots, but very understated. Loved it - highly recommend!

Hey ladies, do yourself a favor and rent this gorgeous dress with pockets! This dress is extremely flattering. Fits TTS. I'm normally a 6/8 in day to day clothes, but a 10 in dresses. The alternating silver and gold polka dots were super cute. This dress is fun and playful, but also very elegant.

The fit was great and the pockets were awesome. I would wear it again.

I wore this to a friend's evening wedding and cocktail party. Of all the dresses I've rented thus far on Rent the Runway, this was my favorite! It was fancy and flattering, and you can go gold or silver with jewelry and shoes, or mix them up since both are in the dress. I got lots of compliments. I normally wear an 8, but ended up wearing the 10 because the smaller size was tight in the chest area. With the empire waistline and high-low, flirty skirt, I'll bet this dress is flattering on everyone.

I love everything about this dress. It's so comfortable. It has pockets. The color would look good with most complexions. The sparkles silver & gold dots make this dress edgier than it would be otherwise. The high/low hem is darling. I get so many compliments when I wear this dress!

The fit & flare is very flattering for a short body (and short torso). Plus it has pockets!! But the real showstopper is the metallic print - it looks subtle online but really sparkles in person. Would buy this dress!

I rented this in a size 6 for a conference in New Orleans and was worried I would be too hot. The fabric is light and breathable - and this dress has pockets! I'm surprised by how much I like this dress - Id definitely wear this again!

Such a cute Shoshanna dress! This style ran true to size and I would size up for your back up as the fabric has no stretch. It is fitted at the natural waist and flared at the bottom allowing comfortable room at the hips. It is best for A-C cup sizes and you can wear a standard bra. At 5"10" the front of the dress hits above my knees and the back is behind the knees. It is a great option for work-to-night or a party! Also, it has pockets!!

I ordered this for a 2pm wedding. I also wore it to work with a button up underneath. I loved it for work more than for the wedding.

This dress felt like a lightweight but structured cotton. It was fun and flirty without being revealing or constricting. I had a 10 week baby bump just starting to pop out and this was flattering and comfortable. I got so many complements at the holiday party we attended!

Beautiful dress! I was lucky enough to get a last minute appointment at the new RTR location in San Francisco. The stylist chose this dress for me, wasn't sure about it on the hanger but fell in love once I put it on! The fit is very flattering, I wore this to an office Christmas party and received a ton of compliments. I have a smaller chest and didn't have any issues with snugness, however if you're on the bustier side you may want to go up a size as there isn't much give in the bodice. Would definitely rent again!

This dress was really pretty and photographed even better! It's just the right amount of fun on a classy cut dress. The 2 fit perfect and i didn't need to wear a bra! Slightly snug in the armpit area but nothing I couldn't handle. The 4 was definitely loose even if I put a bra on. Loved this and would consider renting again.

I rented this dress to wear to a outdoor party in Florida in May. I was worried it was going to be too hot but this dress was seriously the perfect weight. Pictures are deceiving. It's light & airy & I was comfortable all night. There is ZERO stretch in this dress so I would suggest sizing up in your 2nd size if you can. Great dress for many occasions. I'd definitely rent again!

I wore this as a rented bridesmaid dress and it was much more special than you average bridesmaid dress. I don't think the high-low hem was as dramatic as in the pictures but the fit was great.

The dress looked beautiful and I️ received compliments from strangers. A warning however... this dress has no give. I️ usually wear an 8 but needed the 10 for the bust. Even with Spanx the 10 was extremely tight. Could have used a 12. I'm a 36 D/DD so that always seems to be an issue.

LOVED this dress and received so many compliments. I rented for work and it was perfect. The arm holes and chest runs small IMO - I typically wear a 4 but sized up based on reviews and glad I did for those two areas. Other than that very comfortable and I would definitely rent again - one of my favorite rentals for work.

I got this for a boots and ballgowns gala but ended up wearing a dress I already owned instead. The neck/shoulder cut was a simple tank, not cut in like on the model. It was lightweight and unlined and didn’t feel formal, even if it photographs more formal. It was a wider cut at the waist and the pintucks for the bust were too high for me. I think this would work better on more petite figures, it just wasn’t as flattering as I hoped.

The dress was beautiful but definitely small and the material had no give at all.

Every part of the dress fit great except the chest area, which was clearly intended to fit chests larger than B's.

Shoshanna is a genius! Accentuated to positive and hid the trouble areas for a pear shaped lady. Feeling beautiful at a high school reunion is no small feat!

I ordered one size up just in case it first one didn't fit but didn't end up needing it. This dress is roomy and still manages to fit on my body well. I love the shorter cut in the front, which accentuated my legs. Highly recommend this dress for women on the taller end as my tail did snag a little whenever I was standing up/sitting down.

For true to size. So comfortable. Pockets! The high low detail was awesome. I was nervous because at first glance the dress does look more cotton-based, but the metallic polka dots balanced it out. Wore with silver heels and pearls and it was a hit!

Perfect fit. Perfect light, almost crinkly material with lining. The high-low cut is playful while the neckline is conservative. Bra strap ties give it extra points. And did I mention POCKETS?!

I loved this dress so much I rented it twice (will probably rent again because I still haven't gotten a good picture in it). It is such a great fit and the cut of the sleeves is very flattering. Loved the pockets (of course) and it's a fun pattern without overdoing it.
