I wore it to a black tie preferred wedding. It fit true to size. Material was stretchy and very comfortable. I loved the way it looked and fit. The only thing was for me is that I am short waisted and though I would not consider myself petite , I would rent a petite short dress next time. Just a little bit of material bunched in the back. Overall I would rent it again in a heartbeat.

Great fit, very flattering

Since I was traveling for this wedding, I wanted something that could stand on its own, would pack well, and was very comfortable. I love dancing at weddings and usually choose dresses with a more full skirt for maximum spinning potential, so this was a departure for me, but it was still very easy to move in! Great dress.

I tried the 6 on first and it was very long and quite baggy. I thought I would try the 8 just in case and sure enough it was much smaller. Fit perfectly. The dress rouches to the side and also tends to twist to that side. It was pretty and looked good in pictures but not my favorite.

This dress looked great. But the left arm hole felt a bit tight. Going up a size didn't help, so I stuck with the smaller size which fit me better in the waist. The dress is otherwise quite comfortable. You will need a slip though, as the fabric is a bit sheer and can be seen through against a backlight.

The dress I wanted to wear didn't have a second size available so I rented this as a backup and it was perfect! The dress ran true to size, and was so comfortable to dance in!

I rented this dress for a night out with a bachelorette party. It was perfect for the occasion. The material has a little give to it, although it is not technically stretchy. The length was good. I am 5' 10" and it hit just above my knee. Some other renters said the armholes were tight, but I didn't have this issue. However, I thought the neckline was tight. It wasn't choking me, but it bothered me throughout the night. I thought the rouching was flattering and helped to hide my post-baby tummy. Overall, it was a comfortable dress for a night of dancing, and looked dressy without being too revealing. I would definitely rent again!

Fun and flirty Marissa Sheath by Shoshanna will not disappoint! Running true to size, we recommend going one size up for backup. With no stretch in the fabric and a tighter fit in the bust, this dress is better for smaller cup sizes. The midsection is fitted to show off your curves, but it is still comfortable. If you’re curvier, you may want to consider sizing up due to the fitted hip area. One thing that I love about this dress is the open shoulder; however you would have to wear a NuBra, strapless bra or no bra for this look. This dress hit about mid-length, right above the knee. If you’re taller, this dress would hit a little higher. This dress is stunning and perfect for weddings and holidays. It would look best with black heels and a pop of color for the accessories!!

Rented it for my anniversary dinner and it was perfect. This dress is close fitting but the small pleats make it very flattering. I love the shoulder detail. Only minor negatives were 1) It's definitely longer than it looks on the model and 2) while the dress was definitely clean when I received it, it looked like there were some light colored spots coming through on the back. Still, it's a great LBD and I would definitely wear it again.

I ordered this dress last minute bc the one I originally ordered did not fit but I absolutely loved it. It was very comfortable and flattering. The material has a good amount of stretch to it. I got lots of compliments on it all night.

Incredible dress. Fits very well. I'm a 34dd and didn't wear a bra. Dress is doubled lined so no issues with nipples showing. Ruching at waist helped to hide any tummy issues. Some reviewers noted small a hole but I didn't find that to the case. Cut out really shows off nice shoulders!

Loved the neckline on this dress! I rented the 4 and the 6. The 4 fit a little better, but I probably could have fit into a 2 as well. It's not skin-tight, and the fabric is a bit drapey and thick, but I wore spanx underneath anyway. It's definitely a versatile dress.

I've had my eye on this dress for a while- but the way it fit was of concern to me. After reviewing the pictures and testimonials, I felt safe that this dress would be both comfortable and flattering. I wore a size 8, it was a little tighter, and shorter than I wanted. However, the size 10 was baggy and substantially longer (down to my knees). The fabric is quite stretchy, so I opted for the 8. I wore spanx and was constantly tugging at the dress while I wore it. Overall, I really liked this dress, it is a simple little black dress but has personality. The neckline is very cool and I played up the neckline by wearing a simple necklace and statement earrings (also from RTR).

The Pros: The neckline makes this dress! My boyfriend loved it. It's very classic. The Cons: I was thrown off at first by the material which was much thinner than I thought and the draping which was not very flattering. I put spanks on and it smoothed out these problems. Also the dress stretched out over the night. Over all I liked the dress but was glad it was rented not purchased. It's a good dress for a wedding or a work holiday party since its on the slightly conservative side.

Just a little too tight cuz I have some booty. Preferred the other rental so I wore that.

Our friends recently eloped so I rented this dress for a post-celebration dinner in NYC. I'm 4 months pregnant so not quite large enough for a full-on maternity dress but showing enough that I needed something with a little bit of stretch. The dark color and rouching details were perfect! The dress was really comfortable and true to size. The neckline detail it kept from being a basic black dress. Very happy with my rental!

I rented this dress for a night out in NYC. It was a great take on an LBD! The dress fit me just right with a little bit of room; the left sleeve was slightly snug but still perfectly fine! Someone with slightly larger measurements than me would still be able to wear the 0. The dress hit between mid-thigh and my knee, so not super short. I would recommend sizing down for your back up size.

What a fun spin on a little black dress! The size 4 was a perfect fit for me - form-fitting, flattering, comfortable. I could have easily worn the size 6 if I wanted it to be slightly less form-fitting and it would have still looked very nice. The dresses were clean and in great shape; the clutch was nicely packaged. I had a snag with my delivery being delayed due to unforeseen weather conditions and RTR saved my day...and unlimitedly my event! Awesome, awesome customer service! This was my first RTR experience and will not be my last - I already have a dress reserved for an event in a few weeks. Kudos and thanks to RTR!

The dress was great. I wore it to a swanky cocktail party at a very upscale location. Not the most expensive looking dress in the world but very flattering. I got a lot of compliments. Mostly people thought it was extremely slimming. I chose it because I have a new short pixie haircut and I thought I could pull off a special neckline. The fact that it is kind of double layered and the top layer has some slight ruching makes it form fitting yet covers your small flaws. I would definitely recommend!

Admittedly, I usually stick to shorter dresses so I never would have picked this dress just based on stock photo, but RTR sent me this when my dress was returned unfit for rental. However, I'm glad they did because it was gorgeous and seriously SO figure flattering. It created a gorgeous hourglass shape and really gave meaning to less is more.

I didn't try on the size 8 of this dress, so I am just assuming that this dress would be too small since I tried on the size 10 of this dress that was also sent, and it just barely fit. The cut of the dress is unique, and I was considering wearing the size 10 to my birthday dinner that evening. However, the ruching sat weird on my curves and the style just wasn't what I thought would be right for the location of my birthday dinner.

I didn't realize this dress had texture.it wasn't the modern look I wanted. I think it's interesting dress but wasn't quite right for a wedding maybe a Vegas trip with the girls

Fit is true to size with stretchy material with a little bit of ruching at the core. I thought it might be a little boring, but I love cut out at the neckline... gives it more interest! Perfect for dinners and date night. I would rent this again. Not too short or too long (I'm 5.1).
