I enjoyed wearing this dress. It is sexy and demure. The velvet is lustrous and bright black. The cut was very flattering on me. The collar is a little off. It is too constricting to tie (and i am not corpulent on top). I ended up wearing it open and hid the ties inside. Also, the white fabric is a bit worn. Still wearable though. The beautiful velvet and the slit make up for it.

Despite the sexy slit, I felt a bit like Wednesday Addams in it. The Peter Pan dollar was cut but a bit dingy and lifeless - maybe needs to be retired. Great for though and good for a work day.

This should only be worn as a costume. It's so ugly lololol and cheaply made. Fit is bizarre, I added a belt. I wore it to dress up as Wednesday Addams for Halloween. There are so many beautiful things to rent, don't make this dress one of them.

This was very comfortable and actually very pretty and flattering. The slit is extra and made the dress sexy. Sexy pilgrim?!

The lines are a little bizarre and I found myself having to adjust it every time I stood up from my desk. The slit is too much for the office, but I was able to hide the potential flashing under my desk.

I looked like I was cos playing but into it! The side slit is HIGH and the neck is a bit restricting. Otherwise great

It has a sense of teenage girl feeling, (make me look younger) and in an elegant way! The waist is not elastic at all, I ordered xs and it fits exactly the same as my waist. But if you have a larger waist, be careful of the size then.

Cute, liked it. Perfect for a Wednesday Addams costume that was both work appropriate and like fashionable

In my opinion, part of the fun of renting clothes is to try things you wouldn't normally purchase. This dress is the literal representation of that idea. I told my husband it felt like a designer let their kid make a dress from wherever their imagination took them and with whatever leftovers they could find. The collar feels like it's made out of an old pillowcase (complete with grandma's lace), the sheath is a velvet-ish, shiny black fabric, and to take away any puritan thoughts that might come to mind from the high neck bow, a thigh-high slit was cut into the bottom. Sunday best on top, Friday night on the bottom. I wore this with heeled, over the ankle, combat boots and went about my 'The Craft'-extra day. I wasn't mad about it.

I didn't get to wear this dress because it was too small for me. It is beautiful in pictures and on the hanger.

This was so small I couldn't war it and I sized up. It was also obvious no one had worn it before me because the tag was still on the sleeve. I'm not sure if RTR even sent the right dress.

Too small

The color was so dingy it looked like a soft gray, not white. And there is NO STRETCH to this dress whatsoever - it was painfully tight on my bust and I couldn't get it past my hips. I was actually worried I would rip the dress. It was meant to be worn to a work event but it was so tight I never wore it out of the house. This is NOT a dress for curvy girls - would probably look fine on someone very slender with no hips/bust.

This was very flattering.. fit true to size.. the arms are a little long. You can wear this for every day or an event- the velvet makes it a bit dressy.

This runs just the tiniest bit small in the arms, but a medium was fine for one wear for me. It was so cute and I got complements literally all day long. They never stopped!

The material of this dress looked kinda cheap when I took it out of the bag. I found that it did not fit my body well at all, running tight in the hips and a bit loose in the stomach. The slit was also much higher than I expected.

Super small. I would size up two sizes. Especially if you have a cup size full c or larger

Wanted to love this and loved the model photos but it didn't fit me. I finally got it on and then felt like a nun.

No stretch. Pretty material but soooo tiny.

If you're petite and not straight up and down, the lines won't lay on our body properly so size up. Even if this had fit I don't think I would've worn it except maybe for Halloween ... I looked like a sexy pilgrim, and not in a remotely cool way.

I couldn't even get this dress past my shoulders. No stretch at all. The material and construction is really beautiful, so I'm disappointed I couldn't wear it.
