Loved this dress for a winter black-tie wedding! The velvet felt high quality, and the fit is flattering. The high slit adds just the right amount of edge without being too much. I’m 5’5” and wore 3-inch heels, and the length was perfect. For reference, I have a 36” chest, 29.5” waist, and 39” hips, and the size 6 fit perfectly. Definitely a great pick for a classy, timeless look!

I wore this dress to a formal all black event. The dress fit perfectly. It hugged me in all the right places and I received tons of compliments! The slit wasn’t too high or low it was perfect!

The fabric is stretchy, so I felt comfortable all night. I am an apple shaped 36 DDD and a size 10-12 normally, but the chest area was the only place that I had slight resistance zipping up (totally fine though). I wish this dress came in bigger sizes because I would say I am mid size and this is the largest size.

Wore this dress to a winter wedding in Chicago and it was perfect! The material was soft and comfortable with a little stretch, and I loved the high collar/high slit combo. I’m 5’11’ and wore the 6L with 3 inch heels and the length was perfect. The fabric around the bust didn’t lay completely flat because of the darts, but I’m not working with a lot in that area so that’s probably why, and it didn’t bother me. Would definitely recommend this dress!

I rented this for a formal masquerade work party and it was beautiful! I'm am 5'7'' 155lb and ordered an 8 and 10. Both fit, the 8 a litte tight and looked cute and more curvy and the 10 a little loose but more comfortable. I wanted to be more comfortable so went with the 10

Beautiful dress. Very flattering on and the materiel has a bit of stretch and enough weight that it forms to your frame well. This dress does have a pretty high leg slit that shows when you walk but it’s not so high that I felt exposed. The neck fit comfortably and wasn’t tight. I was very comfortable in this dress through the event and felt beautiful!

I wore this to a formal event and loved it. It’s probably one of my top dresses I’ve ever worn. The velvet is soft and warm for a winter or fall event. The fabric is stretchy so you don’t feel like a sausage. I would definitely rent again.

Fit perfectly!! It was so comfortable, very elegant and fun- I felt so glamorous and unique in this dress; received a number of compliments all night long. Pro tip: wear your hair up when you wear this dress, it enhances the impact of the dress and makes you SHINE.

This dress was so perfect for a formal grad school ball. I ordered the 4R and the 6L. The 4 fit my body better but came off the ground a little more than I liked in my 4 inch heels. The 6 was slightly looser fitting but not in a way that was noticeable or uncomfortable and gave the flowy look I was going for. This dress was so comfortable and easy to wear and I received so many compliments! Highly recommend!

I loved this dress and got compliments on it all night long. I’m 5’1 and had 3.75inch heels on and it was still was too long! I ended up using temporary hemming tape to make it a functional length.

I'm 6'1 and it fit well. Material is beautiful. The dress is elegant and even with the high split, it still looked classy and conservative.

I’m normally a 8-10, I wasn’t able to try on the 8 but the 10 fit well. I was able to wear a regular bra with it. It fit well, was flattering and beautiful.

Fabric is thick velvet, luxurious feeling and very forgiving and smoothing! Flattering but could also be too formal or too plain/boring in certain contexts. From the back (I didn't fasten it fully at the neck in my pic) it is a bit plain and reminds me of middle school choir dresses. Feels expensive and nice though. My major con was the Asian detailing which I was into at first (and why I chose the dress) but didn't want to wear for this particular event context (I would have been the only Asian person present and felt weird about it) I would definitely rent this again in the future! It's definitely worth it and very flattering. Glad I got to explore this designer too as now I want to see their other stuff! CUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEW: a few days before my order shipped I got an email saying they couldn't fulfill the backup size "because it was returned late by the previous customer or did not pass our quality assurance check." HOWEVER, customer service was awesome and super responsive and quick to help me find a backup in a different style (this one) that was also included in the same order which arrived on time still! I actually ended up wearing neither dress as this dress wasn't fitting the vibes of the wedding but I plan on ordering that one again in the future! Customer service was awesome and refunded me store credit.

Got to wear a real (non-strapless bra) to a wedding for once!!! I’ve got a long torso and shorter legs (25”ish inseam) and I thought the slit was EXACTLY RIGHT. I wore it with three inch heels and it was still just sort of grazing the floor. Not a super heavy material— heavy enough to fall but not drag you— very breathable material, which was great for dancing. The details like the buttons are so so beautiful— got compliments all night! My only regret was not getting better pictures to remember it by!

This is an awesome dress. I’m someone who doesn’t usually like to rewear items for formal occasions (it’s too fun to find something new) but this is a dress I could see myself wearing again. The velvet was beautiful quality. Well made garment—didn’t even need a bra or shape wear underneath which is rare in formal gowns. I’m a size 8/10 with larger bust (36D) and more narrow hips. The 8 fit just the way I wanted/more slim through the hips. The 10 also would’ve worked. Overall great dress, trying to convince myself I don’t need to purchase, but getting harder by the minute

So happy I rented this dress! I received compliments all night long about this dress. I typically wear a 4 but I have broad shoulders, so I sized up to the 6 and it was perfect. As others said, the slit is high, but I wore a pair of black fitted shorts underneath and had no issues.
