It definitely runs a size large. I am a 10 in everything - could have worn an 8 - and normally I have to buy long in maxis, but in this one the regular length was perfect. I wore 4.5 inch heels and the bottom of the dress still grazed the floor. I did not wear a bra because the back is open. Instead I wore gel petals. This dress is so gorgeous and is flowed beautifully when I walked. The front is so classy and when I turned around a people saw the back, it was a showstopper! If you are on the fence about renting this dress, rent it!

Ran large, I wore 2 sizes down from my normal size. Length is a little strange but a 4 was perfect for flats.

This dress is absolutely perfect for the super tall--I'm just a smidgen under 6 foot and in my bare feet the dress had a bit of excess on the ground. I loved the skirt. Unfortunately though the bodice was very loose on me so I didn't wind up wearing the dress (the size 4 wasn't available) but for another event I would order it in the smaller size because it is fantastic. (The picture I've attached I'm in my bare feet, and no picture of the upper portion b/c it was really too big.)

Wore this to a work formal event. Got tons of compliments. Pros: It's a comfortable dress. Not tight around the waist. The bottom is very flowy when you walk/move which looks (and feels) great. The top/neck is interesting, as is the back. It's just an easy dress to wear, but sort of unusual (at least enough to get some attention). Cons (for some, not me): If you have a great figure, it's not the most figure flattering (it's not bad, just looser and more goddess dress like than body con, which in my case was good because I'm more comfortable). Would recommend.

The dress was very long as described in other reviews! I had to be careful to hold it up while walking so I didn't step on it or trip. It was also roomy on the bust, but the 6R fit well on the back and zipped perfectly around my waist.

The dress was a little different than expected. The criss-cross layers did not lay as well as I thought. I ended up wearing my back up size which was a size smaller so make me feel really good! The biggest down fall was the dress is extremely long!!! I wore it to a Mardi Gras ball and ended up having to tie it up! It was very lose fitting which was super comfortable and great for dancing to some Luke Bryan!! Overall great experience and received a lot of compliments on it! I wasn't feeling the dress but hearing people compliment me made it all worth while!!!

I should start by saying; I'm the girl that hates dressing for formal affairs. I know, I should turn in my girl card now... but it's always such a fuss. I'd rather toast your achievement or donate to your charity in a pair of jeans with great heels and a statement purse. But that's just me. Having said that, this Sachin + Babi number made it such fun. It was the perfect amount of elegant and edgy without trying too hard. Good fit in my usual size 4R, although, the dress fit with a little room to spare... Which to me means, go ahead and sample every single one of those hors d'oeuvres orbiting in your atmosphere. The 2R would have been a perfectly tailored fit. Tip: rent a smaller size as a backup option. Fifteen minutes to get ready. All this dress needs you to do is put on mascara + liner, maybe a subtle cat eye (if you're up for it), sweep your hair into a ponytail or relaxed messy up-do, and add minimal jewelry (I wore diamond studs, the focus is really the angular neckline). Effortlessly chic.

I originally wear a 6L but I had to ended up wearing the 4R and it was still on the big side. I really loved the front cut outs and the back was my favorite part. I wish it fit better but over all I got a lot of compliment and won best dressed at the event I went to.

I am 5'3" and I was wearing 3 inch heals and the dress was 6 inches longer than that. You would have to be at least 5'9" with decent heals to get this to fit on you. The top fit pretty well, but the black diagonal part gaped open a little bit. It's a beautiful dress, but only if you are real tall. I had to put in a faux hem to get it to work for the night of the event.

This was one of the most comfortable ball gowns I have ever worn!

Love this dress! I am typically a size 4/6 and ended up trying the 6R. I could have definitely gone down a size as this was big on me in the waist and bust area. This dress is great for any cup size however for smaller busted girls I would size down. It is fitted at the natural waist and there is comfortable room at the hips! I think this dress would be great for any body type. I am about 5'5 and the length was still a little long on me with heels. This would definitely be a great option for taller women! Love the open back however you would definitely have to go braless or wear a sticky bra! I would definitely try this dress for your next wedding or formal affair!

I got this for a photoshoot to celebrate my tenure & 35th birthday. It was gorgeous, comfy & elegant. We went into the desert and really got some great pics. The dress itself has various layers of tulle and other fabrics. It's spreads wonderfully and has plenty of room for girls with a booty (like me). However, the front was way too big and you can't wear a bra with it. As you can see in one of the pics, the front layer was just weird. Loved this dress though, it was fierce.

This dress was beautiful, classy and best of all - comfortable! It runs large, so go smaller for a flawless fit. I chose this dress to play a musical selection at an outdoor wedding at some nearby gardens. The 6P length allowed me to wear flat sandals, great for the pebbled walkways and grassy lawn. The skirt lightly touched the floor and its fullness forgives any below-the-waist body issues. My favorite detail was the unique gold and black over ivory bodice design. Simply stunning! The dress zips to the waist, so its open back does require a strapless-backless; the bodice fabric was a bit too lightweight to go au naturel. Though I happened to specifically need a black gold-accented dress to harmonize with the wedding colors, this sophisticated gown would be perfect for a variety of events!

The length was perfected as a petite but the part of the torso of the dress wasn't really fitting to my body. And I had to use fashion tape for the back and the chest.

I'm 5'10" and the length of the 4L was perfect with a pair of heels, but if you are planning on wearing flats I would avoid the longer size. It paired great with fun, white and gold earrings. The waist hits at a very flattering place and the back is perfect. I would wear this dress every day if I could!

Loved the look of the dress. Great material, great flowing skirt. Tricky bodice. Because it is backless there is minimal bodice support and would probably work better for mid-range bust sizes - too small and the front just hangs awkwardly baggy in the front. I sized down two sizes from my normal dress size and it was still too big on top. To be fair, I'm very pear shaped so it would probably look amazing on a different body type.

This dress is super cool! And I honestly like it better than the pink version. But it was huge. I am normally a pretty standard 6, but this fell off me.

I reserved this dress 6 weeks before my event - during that time, all the reviews started popping up saying how it was way too big. I am already a size 0R, so my heart sank realizing I had no option to size down. However, when the dress arrived, it fit beautifully. I am 5'8 and while the top was not super fitted, it hung beautifully. I wore 3-inch heels and the bottom just skimmed the ground which didn't bother me at all. If you are tall, I say go for it and enjoy the compliments! If you are shorter, this dress will hang strangely.

I originally ordered a 2R and a 4R as my back-up size. A couple of weeks before my rental, I saw that a few of the reviews said that it ran large so I changed my back-up size to a 0R. I ended up wearing the 0R and it did fit a little loose (I would've liked for the waist and top to be a little tighter) but other than that it was a good! The length was very long but luckily I had some 5-inch heels that matched the dress and made it the perfect length. I think I would've enjoyed the dress a little more if it wasn't so long... I would've preferred to have worn my shorter heels since it was a long night, but we all have to make sacrifices for beauty sometimes, right?? Overall it was a very pretty dress and I did get a lot of compliments in it! I would definitely suggest ordering a size down, the skirt is very roomy so don't worry about it being too tight in the hips.

I loved that this dress was so unique, but it definitely runs very large. I am tall, but the 2L was way to long even when I tried it with the highest pair of heels I own. The length of the 4R was ok - but still long. You definitely can't get away with flats in this dress if you are 5'8 or shorter, even with the regular length. Overall the dress is cut very large as well. I am usually a 4, but I could have gotten away with a 2, maybe even a 0. The dress also really covers you up and doesn't show off any curves. I worked with a wonderful stylist to get a replacement dress in time for my event.

This was my backup dress so it was fine that it didn't work out. It was much too large in the top for me to wear. Not for small busted gals. I suggest going a size down if you are smaller chested or getting some sort of backless or silicon bra.

This dress was beautiful! I ordered a 6R with an 4R as backup. I'm a 4 or 6 in dresses, usually choosing 6 due to my larger bust, but ended up wearing the 4R which was still slightly loose. As soon as I tried it, I felt like a celebrity and fell in love with the dress, but was horrified when I tried to walk and instantly tripped over the 4 extra inches of fabric pooled under my feet. I'm not terribly short - 5'4" and planned to wear 3" heels, so I was expecting the regular length to possibly be too short. Jokes! The regular length was still at least two inches too long even after putting on my highest heel - a 4.5" wedge that I ended up wearing because of the height even though it didn't match the dress at all. I wore the dress to a wedding reception and risked falling over every other step and while dancing until I figured out how to kick the skirt out when walking and hold it while dancing. The dress was a hit and everyone loved it and told me I looked so regal, but it was an annoyance to wear due to the length. Beware unless you're super tall or are planning to wear sky-high heels. I couldn't figure out an elegant way to make a faux-hem on this skirt and almost considered returning before the event, but I'm still glad I wore it. If the skirt were shorter, this would have been a perfect dress.

I loved this dress and wanted to make it work, but it was way too long. I am 5'8" and even with 4-inch heels, 2 inches of the dress were dragging on the floor. I was tempted to try the temporary hem tape the stylist recommended, but the body of the dress was also a bit loose, and the size 6 was not available.

I wanted to love this dress, but I was swimming in it. The 0R was several inches too long on me and way, way too big in the torso. i would say it fit more like a 4L. If you rent, definitely size down at least one size if not two.

Normally wear a 4, but ordered a 2 because of the reviews and ended up wearing the 2. Love the back of the dress and the unique geometrical top. Got lots of complements and really loved the dress!

A little big but not too big where it didn't fit.

Wore this to a formal wedding and it was perfect! I did, however, have some issues with the black strap that crosses the bust as it kept puckering (I wore a NuBra with this dress since it is backless and I wear a 38D). Also, this dress is very long. I am 5'7" and even in 4" heels I had to hold it up and out of the way so that I would not trip. Material is light weigh, perfect for a summer wedding.

Felt like a princess!!

Similar to other reviews, the dress does run large and is very long. I normally wear a size 4 dress but went down to a size 0 in this. I also wore 4 inch heals and the dress was just slightly above the floor (difficult to walk up/down stairs in but totally fine otherwise). Saying that, it was a gorgeous and very comfortable dress and I got a lot of compliments wearing it to the event.

So this dress is very interesting looking and I did get a size too big, but overall I didn't love the dress because the colors weren't as true as they were in the pictures. The fabric felt cheaper than how it looked in the photo and the proportions were wrong. Granted I'm short (5'3") so that may be a personal problem.
