Dress fits true to size. Is much longer on me, but still looked nice. I received a lot of compliments. I added a belt and necklace. You can dress this up or down- depending on the occasion.

Strapless dresses tend not to look good on me, but this is a very flattering dress with a striking unique layered design. Nice and tight at the waist and semi form-fitting in the hips, but it surprised me that I did not have to size up (I usually do size up for form-fitting skirts) and the under layer did not ride up! I did not wear any bra with this especially because I had sized down, and it worked great. Intricate sheer layer in the skirt gives ornate quality to the dress and makes it more appropriate to wear at a wider range of formal events where short dresses wouldn't quite be appropriate. This dress is not designed with walking for hours and miles in mind, but I wore this for a very long night running all over NYC. And it was still marginally comfortable even though I had sized down. Some chafing on my upper calves from the bottom of the sheer skirt because I walked so many miles and the semi-fitted skirt makes you take slightly shorter steps. The waist was really tight because I sized down (on purpose) and it looked absolutely fabulous while I was standing up, but I couldn't take deep breaths while sitting down. Oh, the things I'll do for fantabulous dresses...

As others mentioned, it does run a little large. I usually shy away from straighter styles since I'm bottom heavy, but this had some stretch and was perfect. I added a wide belt b/c it just needed a little something in the middle and helped pull it together. Super comfortable - zero complaints and lots of compliments!

This dress was perfect! Only the 8 was left (I'm usually a 6), but I figured it was still worth a shot. It was a touch too big, but not so much that I was tugging on it or anything. The boning helps keep it up. Even with my short height, the sheer part of the dress still landed at a reasonable point. I loved that you could barely make out the sheer portion up close - it made the dress more dramatic from farther away. It was definitely different and I got a ton of compliments! If you want a subtle way to stand out - go for it! I would rent this again!

I cannot emphasize enough how much I LOVED this dress. My favorite RTR and probably favorite dress I've ever worn. I wore it to my Barristers Ball for law school and was told constantly all night how stunning I looked. I really felt like a million dollars in this dress. It was classy, elegant, and extremely unique I definitely felt as though I stood out! On top of that the dress was so comfortable! I normally wear a size 6 but am happy i sized down to a size 4 which fit perfectly but I think was ever so slightly stretched out from use. Bottom line, this dress is perfect in every way.

I wore this for a gala where I was an emcee. Wanted something different but still on the conservative side. This dress was perfect! Tons of compliments. I loved the short skirt with the long sheer overskirt. On a short person the overskirt is much longer than shown on the model. Mine was nearly to my ankles. Wore a strapless bra; but the dress has boning so you could go braless. I needed the bra to help keep the top up. I had a short bolero-type sweater which looked terrific with the dress too. But I mostly kept the sweater off since the dress shows off the shoulders. I rented the necklace pictured with the dress too.

I found that the top was a little big on me, but because I am shorter the dress hit me at the perfect spot for a t-length dress. I would definitely recommend, I got a ton of compliments.

I wore the dress to a corporate holiday party and received so many compliments. I was worried about the dress being too long, since I am 5'2'', but it worked very well with heels. The dress is true to size and fit perfectly on the waist and bust. This dress is definitely a unique piece and catches your eye. This was my first RTR dress and I will definitely be using it more. It is very easy!

The dress has a very straight cut which made my petite curvy frame look very lean and slender. I just loved how it fit and felt amazing in this dress. The dress is the perfect combination of elegance and edge, while being tastefully sexy. Since I am petite, the dress did not hit me in the same places as the model (obviously). It still looked and felt great. I typically prefer dresses with straps to avoid pulling the dress up all night, but I did not have that problem at all with this dress. It stayed in place really well.

Fit loser than expected, and a tad shorter.

I loved this dress! I wore it to a black tie masquerade and it was perfect with the mask and was also very flattering. The only reason I didnt give it five stars was because the ribbing had torn through the inside of the dress and was incredibly painful so I had to wear a strapless bustier so it did not scratch my skin.

The dress was nice, and the gold was beautiful without being gaudy or over the top. However, the dress did run big. it was a little loose in the bust and longer than shown on the model photo (the lace overlay went to my ankles). Because I wore a bolero with it and black tights, neither fit issues detracted from the overall look, but had I worn the dress alone, as pictured, I might not have been able to get away with it.

Dress was comfortable, once I got the smaller, tighter fit, size.

I wish I could own this dress! I wore it to my boyfriend's work holiday party, was very comfortably and I received compliments all night. This dress is beautifully made, was perfect for my bust and body type and can make anyone look like a rockstar. The embroidered sheath was a beautiful detail and it was the perfect length.

Pay attention to the lenght. I would wear it for a party, wedding, or maybe a gala that is not super formal. I didn't want to go all out, so I was perfectly okay with the lenght. Very onfortable and got compliments on it.

The moment I put the dress on I felt incredibly Fabulous! The material is rich and beautiful and Fabulous. I normally wear a size 6 and ordered down a size 4 as my backup which I was happy I did because I wore the backup size which fit me perfect. I'm 5'2, 117 lbs. I will order this again and again 👍👍👍👍👍

I haven't even left for my event and I had to review and post photos! This dress is so lovely. I was worried the underskirt would be too short but I love the length and the overlay makes it perfect for this evening's formal banquet. The shimmer detail is not as bright as it seems in the pic which is awesome as I didn't want to stand out too much. Just enough glam. My legs are rather thick and this makes them look slim due to the pencil style lower part of the dress. I wore a strapless bra and the slight corset in the dress helped keep me perky! I'm so happy with my rental! Thanks RTR! :)

Usually I stay away from strapless dresses but this fit perfect and I could dance without worrying about it falling down.

I ordered the 0 and the 2, and ended up going with the 2 . I wanted the 0 because the bust fit better, but the 2 was much more forgiving in the stomach area. The gold detailing photographed really well, and I got a ton of compliments on it. I paired it with big gold earrings and red lips, and I loved it!

Fit true to size, didn't love the length

Did not wear, I preferred the other dress I rented. This is a beautiful dress that fit me perfectly.

I have just lost the last few post-baby pounds and was excited to get this sassy, elegant, sexy dress for my husband's 40th surprise birthday party.

The fit was perfect, I vary between 2 and 4, and the 2 was so just right.

It's such a great dress, but I think if you have a large bust or are on the short side it might not looks as great only because it'll cut funny.

This dress fit like a dream, and I got tons of compliments on it. I would recommend it for taller women. I'm 5'9", 146lbs, and the size 4 fit perfectly. It would be very long on someone shorter than 5'6" I would think.

This is a great dress. The boning in the top half is supportive enough that I didn't need to wear a bra (34DD), the black hides some flaws and the gold overlay hid others. I'm busty/apple with basically no hips/butt and I thought the dress created a nice shape--minimizing my larger top half and balancing that by drawing focus to the bottom half. I think the dress made me look a little stumpy (I'm 5'3), but I wore it with really high heels that helped to balance. Also think the see-through bottom half helped. I thought the dress ran large. I ordered a 10 and an 8 and was surprised the 8 fit. Normally due to my shoulders/bust I have to size up for strapless dresses. I noticed substantial wear on both dresses I got (had to get a replacement 8 last minute). The boning was bent out of shape for the original two dresses, which was particularly noticeable on the 8 (made the neckline oddly crooked). Of course RTR customer service was great as always so had no problems getting a replacement. The replacement still wasn't perfect (boning still kind of bent) but no where near as bad as the first.
