It was very fitted at the waist, I am very broad through the rib cage, so I had to go up a size, otherwise the smaller would have worked. I added a gold metal belt and a fun bag for a pop of color for an evening, outdoor wedding.

LOVE this dress and I received so many compliments. It does run small; I usually wear a 4 and was glad I had a 6 on hand. I'm 5'7 and it was a little long without heels, so you may want some hem tape on hand as well.

I got so many compliments on my dress. It was so comfortable and flowy! I got an 8L and a 10L. The length didn't seem to be much of a difference so I just chose the 8 because it fit better! You can dress up this dress for a more formal event or casually wear it on a night out. Absolutely loved it!

First RTR experience and will not be my last. I'm 140 lbs, 5' 8" and normally wear a 6. I ended up wearing the 6L because it flowed better! Loved this dress so much- I wanted to keep it! It looks even more beautiful in person! Love love love

Perfect dress for a wedding. It fit great and was very flattering. If I had wanted to wear heels I would have had to rent the long, but with flats the regular was perfect. I got tons of compliments in the dress. The open back was amazing. Wish I could wear it again!

It fit me like It was tailored made for me.I wore flats. I'm 5'9.5, 137lbs, 34A, 34/27/36. The back is low and sexy. It's flowy, a maintenance free, beautiful dress! Customer service sent this to me because the original second size of the dress I wanted wasn't suitable to ship. Those customer service gents/gals know what they are doing. As always, thank you! Easy to wear, would fit any body type. Adjustable shoulder straps allow for the waist to fall in right place. I'm 5'9 and wore the 6L. Had to wear flats. I always wear a 6 or 8...the 6 was perfect. Wore this to dinner in Madrid...also paired with a blazer for dinner in morocco.

The dress fit perfectly! A little too long to be worn w flats or short heels. I'm 5'4, wore a regular and had about 3" heels. The dress perfectly hit the floor. It's very lightweight, which helped for an outdoor summer wedding.

I loved this dress! I rented it for a black tie optional wedding. I loved how flowy the skirt was and the overall comfort of this dress. It's a little fitted at your natural waist and the skirt for a regular was the perfect length even with 3 inch heels. The back was fabulous, with adjustable straps to make it fit just right (I ended up wearing no bra)! This dress is a must rent!

The waist is small so be cautious of that. It's right because it's the only way those straps will stay up. I tightened my straps to the max and paired it with a stick on strapless bra from Target (a MUST- It made such a difference vs going braless). I am 5'7" with a long torso and the regular was the perfect length with flats. Just a spectacular dress, didn't wanna send it back:(

I am 5'9", I was a little worried getting a maxi, since most long dresses are still not long enough. I though it would be good to get the 8L and then I would probably wear flats with it. Turns out that the dress was long enough for heels but not too long for flats. I wore heels to the ceremony and the early part of the reception and then put on flats to dance. The top is more coverage than I thought and there was no risk of wardrobe malfunction, I did wear a sticky bra under the top but really could have gone with no bra if I wanted to. The fit and feel of the dress was perfect, I did not want to return the dress!

Fit perfectly and was just long enough for me in heels. The straps are adjustable so you can get that perfect fit on top.

This dress was extremely comfortable & flowed in such a pretty way - perfect for a wedding where you want to dress up & not be wary of your outfit all night. I'm 5'2" and wore the R length. With 4 inch heels the dress actually didn't hit the floor. I still held it as I walked up/down stairs just to be safe, though. Also, you can't wear a bra with this dress. If you want, go for the chicken cutlets or tape, but I didn't wear anything and was totally fine. You can adjust the straps to wear it feels comfortable. And I seriously can't say enough about how beautiful AND comfortable this dress was. I was probably the only person not fiddling with my outfit, and with so much food available, I was thankful I wasn't wearing anything skin tight! I recommend wearing a statement necklace, and show off your back! - wish I had taken a picture from the back angle. I'd definitely recommend.

first, I called the girls at RTR for suggestions on the size I chose, they suggested a 2R, but as a back up I also decided on the 4R. When the dresses arrived, I tried on the 2R, I didn't bother with the 4R because the 2 was perfect. the dress was very comfortable, flowed very nice. I wore a 4 1/2 inch wedges and the dress was barely touching the floor. I did not give it a five stars because the material on the chest was a little thin and the straps kept getting lose. this is my 4th rental and I will continue renting...Thnks RTR :0)

Comfortable, flowy, super flattering... Tons of compliments... Gave 4 stars because it was a bit short, had to wear kitten heels and I'm 5'7"... Also straps had to be worn pretty tight to keep from slipping off my shoulders

The adjustable straps were what sold me on the dress and were what made the dress perfect. I'm rather small chested and so tightening the straps to the max enabled me to go braless. The material makes for a very comfortable fit however created a few problems. It is rather long so I sported 5 inch heels that often got caught in the extra (very sheer) fabric at the bottom and almost caused few face plants. It was incredibly comfortable and I would recommend it to a small chested, taller friend!

The straps are adjustable and the regular length was perfect to wear with sandals. I ended up not wearing a bra with the dress and because of the pattern, you couldn't tell!

FUN dress to wear, got lots of compliments, super comfortable. Need statement necklace or the neckline feels strange, forces you to sit/stand up straight because of open back.

It runs mostly true to size, except in the waist. i had a couple inches of extra space where the black band is. Also, the long is actually long: I'm 5'10 and is hit the floor. Overall, it was super comfortable and looked great the whole night.

I rented the 4R and 2L and they fit basically the same except the 2 was about an inch longer. I wore this with about 5 inch heels and I had no trouble walking. The only thing is I recommend pairing with a big necklace because the cut of the front is very straight and a little awkward but a necklace brings it all together!

I didn't wear this one as it was too long on my 5'3" frame even with 4 inch heels. But the top fit nicely. The open back is a nice surprise. It's great for any summer event you need to look conservative for!

I loved this dress, the back was especially fun and it was super flowy and pretty. The only downside was that I am super short (5'2") and even with heels the length was way too long on me. Because the dress was printed and flowy, I was able to use safety pins to pin up the length from the inside and you really couldn't tell from the outside of the dress at all. Once I fixed the length it was perfect!

Wore this for my sisters rehearsal dinner. It was perfect!! The back was amazing and I didn't need to wear a bra. So light and flowy. This was my favorite dress I have rented so far! Also the adjustable straps were a plus!!

This dress does run true to size. Very fitted in the waist to show off your shape, but recommend going up a size if you have a hour glass figure. Overall, beautiful for any event.

I loved the fit and how it remained tight around my waste the entire evening, meaning it didn't expand and become baggy. I am a huge fan of dresses with an open back and this one did not disappoint! It was definitely too long, however, I was able to hem it with some double sided tape since I had planned on wearing flat sandals. I received multiple compliments throughout the evening and would definitely rent this dress again!

This dress was so comfortable and "swishy" that I didn't want to take it off when I checked the fit. I wore it for a beach party in the rain in San Francisco and the material was quick drying for those moments when you simply have to sing in the rain. The adjustable straps were wonderful and if you just wear pasties there aren't any problems. I wore the regular, not the long, and the length ended just above the ground with flats on. Tons of compliments all night

The fit of this dress was perfect for a girl like me - large saddlebag hips that I try to hide. The top is quite thin as other reviewers mentioned, but I found that an adhesive silicone bra did the trick for my 36D chest. I loved that the front of the dress could be tightened to fit as high on the neck as you'd like, but the back was still open to add some playfulness. I would absolutely rent this dress again for another occasion!

I loved wearing this dress! It was so fun when I walked with the flowy skirt. However, being 5'4" wearing 3 in wedges it was still a bit long which made stairs a little challenging. The top is a very thin material so you definitely need to wear stick ons or something underneath. I received a ton of compliments on this dress; I was sad to return it!

I wore this for a family wedding where I was in a few formal photos. The dress was perfect for the occasion (a formal wedding at beach front country club), with so many fun details to make it special. The pattern was fun and made the dress look even more flowy than it already was. The length was perfect for 3 inch heels. The adjustable straps helped to improve the fit, and the back was just revealing enough. I used a stick-on bra as the fabric was thin in the front - it helped me feel more comfortable. I really wanted (and needed) the 8R but it was unavailable, so I put in a few stitches to pull in the waist for a smaller, more flattering fit (they came right out and you can't even tell where they were!). I got compliments all night! Wish i had more reasons to wear this dress!!

I received this dress from RTR because my original dress pick wasn't returned on time and they sent me this instead. It is absolutely stunning, comfortable and more colorful in person. I had a wedding to attend and I didn't feel comfortable going braless in case I wanted to dance so I didn't end up actually wearing it. I would highly recommend though, but only if you are comfortable going without a bra!

I loved this dress!!! The print was wonderful, the open back was so fun, and it was incredibly comfortable. I ordered long because the regular wasn't available and was kind of bummed because I wanted to wear flats, but figured I could make heels work with the long. I don't think I own heels high enough to make the long fit!! I ended up hemming it with fabric tape and it was perfect with flats. The flowy fabric made it easy to tape hem and not have to worry about it being perfect. I wore a stick on bra and it worked fine, but going braless probably would have worked too. This dress was so comfortable and so fun to dance in, I'm sad I had to send it back!

The dress was a little long albeit I was wearing flats. Fit was great in the waist and the open back was GORGEOUS and perfect for a rehearsal dinner. So flattering!

The dress was beautiful, light weight and airy; perfect for a summer solstice wedding in Newport Beach, CA. The overall fit was a bit large for me, but the 8L was not available because the renter prior to me did not return it in time. Tisk tisk! Michael with RTR was outstanding and sent me 2 other back-up dresses in 8L's that were equally stunning; I just had my heart set on this one, and I was able to make the 10L work because the straps were adjustable. I paired it with the Kate Spade "Give it a Swirl" necklace and wore 3" black patent peep-toe Jimmy Choo's which made it the perfect length. Because the back is open, I would recommend wearing pasties or a backless bra. Overall I loved this dress, just wish the 8L had been returned on time ;-)

Ordered 8L and 8R, wore the 8L cause I liked the length with shoes just a bit more. Wore flats but could have worn short heels easily. Wore backless bra for some support and that worked great. Overall very comfortable to move around in with sitting and dancing at a wedding. Only time I had to be concerned about stepping on the bottom was walking up stairs, otherwise length was perfect.

I selected this dress for an outdoor wedding on someone's property. It was perfect for the occasion and outdoor venue with lots of grass. It floated a little off the ground so you could see the 2" baby heels I wore. The dress skirt moved well when I walked and kept the bugs off my legs. If it was an indoor wedding I would have chosen the long option and worn a slightly taller heel. I also chose not to wear a bra because the top was loose enough and it worked out for me. Overall a great dress for a wedding.

Loved the flow of this dress for my friend's beach wedding in Mexico. By the time I rented they only had the 10 petite or the 6 regular, and really the 8 petite would have been perfect. The 10 was far too big on top but I definitely struggled tripping on the length of the skirt with the regular length even though I was in 4 inch heels.

I ordered this dress as a back up option for a wedding. I didn't end up wearing this gown because the other dress I ordered was a better fit for me. I am 5'3/125 lbs and I ordered the 2R because that was the only size available at the time but a 4R would of probably fit better. There is a dark blue stripe detail around the waist and it was really, really tight in that area. I could of worn it- but I would of been uncomfortable. I had planned to wear 4" wedges with this dress, so the length was good. If you are on the shorter side like me and do not want to wear tall shoes, I would recommend going with a petite size. The only reason I didn't give this dress 5 stars is because although I loved the open back (which has adjustable straps) the front was kind of boring. Maybe adding a fun necklace would make it more fun. The dress was really light in material and had a great flow. Great RTR experience.
