This was a fun, cute dress for a hot summer wedding. I love little black dresses, and this had enough detailing to make it a bit different from the usual.

Wore to my sorority's semi-formal and received so many compliments! I would buy/keep this dress if I could.

The fabric around the waist was a bit tight for the overall size, but otherwise it was extremely comfortable and flattering. Also, you can't wear a bra because the back is lace/transparent, so you have to go with fun lil' stickies!

The dress fit true to size, the tag in the back was something I had to work with, but it was fine, my hair basically covered it up! I received many compliments, and was telling everyone about my experience with RTR!! There are just so many events, that's it's pointless to buy dresses and only wear them once, or twice. Best experience! This dress was a hit!! And I had nice gold jewelry to go with it!!

This dress was incredibly flattering! I am a little heavy on top but the dress left room for my busy but gave my boyish figure curve!

I rented a size 4 and got a 6 as my back up dress, both fit but I wanted the more fitted look and went with the 4 (not too much of a size difference between the two.) Because of the lace back I bought a sticky bra to wear with it and paired it with silver and gold jewelry and black heels. The color of the dress is different in different lighting, close up with flash it appears silver and it has more of a gold tint in regular lighting. The dress was perfect and shipping was the most convenient part! I can't wait to rent again!!

Love the black lace overlay and the metallic underneath made it sparkle - perfect for Vegas. The open back is covered in black lace, so you shouldn't wear a bra. I'm 5'3" and it was relatively short on me. Runs a little small - I don't usually wear an 8.

I was on the fence about ordering this dress, but I couldn't be happier that I did. The sheer back of the dress was beautiful and made the dress so unique. Depending on how you like your dress to fit, it may run small. I felt that going up to a size 6 helped the dress lay better. In the size 4 I found the waist fit tighter than expected. The size 4 also was stretching a bit too much causing the lining to slip out of the bottom of the dress. I paired with sheer black tights and suede black booties for a holiday party.

Pictures do not do this dress justice, it is way more beautiful in person! It fit perfectly and was very flattering! I am usually a size 4 and wore the 4! I will say the lining was a little bit off (the black underneath was longer than the lace of the hem but it almost looked like it was supposed to be). You can see the tags through the lace back unfortunately. I received SO many compliments on this dress and was really sad to send it back!! I would definitely rent this again. I searched everywhere for a dress that was sophisticated but still fun for being 24! This dress was amazing. You will need a sticky bra because the back is see through! Enjoy wearing it, I sure did!

I ordered this dress in a 0 and a 2, and the zero fit perfectly. However, there was an issue with damage from a previous renter, and I was really disappointed and I wore the 2 instead. It still photographed and looked beautiful!! RTR was informed of the damage issue and phenomenal and has handled this issue fantastically. This is the only time I've run into a damage on an item issue since '09. I posted one pic taken by a professional photographer in the dress, and one I had taken by a random with my iPhone... the dress looks amazing no matter what... and I'm by no means a professional model. If you're short like me remember it's not a super sexy mini length like on website....you'll look classy but not be showing a ton of leg. The lace on the back is so fun!

I wore this dress to my friend's wedding and received lots of compliments. I rented a 6 and an 8 and ended up wearing the 8. It does have a very low back (covered in lace) so I had to wear my stick on bra. Just something to keep in mind - you really can't wear a regular bra with it. I loved this and will definitely rent this again in the future.

I rented this dress for a cocktail party, and it was perfect! The back made such a statement, and I received a lot of compliments. It's a comfortable dress that fits true to size. My only complaint is that the back buckles a little bit through the zipper, but otherwise perfect. This was a dress I was sad to return.

The picture of this dress on the RTR site does not do it any justice. The dress is golden and the gold with the lace is really sexy and classy. Perfect NYE dress. I am really tall but the dress was the perfect length. I read a lot of people thought the belt was too tight in the middle, but I thought it fit great. I'd definitely rent it again!

I really enjoyed this dress and the overall RTR experience. The dress runs pretty true to size. I ordered a 6 and an 8 and wore the 6 very comfortably. There is absolutely no give/stretch in the fabric, would have probably ordered a 4; however it was unavailable. I'm 5'10" and the length was perfect. The coloring online is a little deceptive, in person it shows more gold. I received so many compliments and the open/lace back was a hit without being too much!

I loved this dress and did not want to return it!! I received compliments all night and it was super comfortable. The dress did no ride up and I danced the night away. I ended up not wearing a bra as I ran out of time to purchase a NuBra but I wasn't self conscious at all!! I would definitely rent this dress again! The tags however, where placed inconveniently as previous reviews have mentioned. Rent the runway was so helpful and made everything a very easy process!

I got a ton of compliments on this dress! It is even more sparkly in person, and the lace back is sexy, but not too revealing for a fancy party. I wore an adhesive bra so I wouldn't have the strap visible in the back. The dress was slightly bigger than I was expecting, but it still looked great! I would definitely recommend this dress!

It fit me pefectly at the waist but was not overall too tight and pefect for a wedding. I didn't want to take away from the lace back and wear a traditional bra so I wore a nubra and it worked very well.

As all the reviews say on RTR, I got so many compliments on this dress. It fit great! I will most definitely be renting again. I could have warn the size 0 but it was a family wedding and there was no need to wear something tight lol but both sizes were flattering.

This dress fit amazingly well. The skirt was very comfortable without being too tight and it was very comfortable in the bust as well. The back is sheer, but I wore a black bra and it almost looked like it was a part of the dress. You could also wear a NuBra too if you wanted to keep the back exposed. Such a unique dress, I love it!

The dress I received was a bit loose so I ended up wearing the backup size (0). This dress received a lot of compliments about how classy it was! The only thing I didn't really like about this dress is how the bottom didn't really have a tight fit and the hemming wasn't sewn together so there were two layers (and it kind of moved around a lot). But other than that, I would highly recommend it!

I ordered my usual size 4 and the next size up after reading the other reviews. They were both exactly the same size and I would have went with a 6. The black band in the middle was so tight I was uncomfortable but I committed to the dress and wore it anyway. The fabrics were fun and shiny - a little out of my norm. The back was lace from the middle up, which I liked. Overall it was a cute dress and would have been comfortable in one size bigger.

The back was only covered with the shiny fabric, which looks FABULOUS, but is not practical for someone with my bra size and no appropriate bra. I compensated with a cropped mini jacket, which kept me warm during this winter get together! The bottom is also tighter around the knees, so think of that when you need to be sitting for a long time at a potential event. Overall another dress I love!

Can we just take a moment to admire the back of the dress! It was so beautiful!! The only reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because on both sizes of the dresses the lace shrunk and a bit of the lining was stinking out from the bottom (I was wearing black tights with it) if you're planning on going bare legged this may be an issue for you. I was able to iron the lace part and that made it a bit better. Other than that I have no complaints, it was a beautiful dress.

Fit: Tried the 4 and felt good but the band ... decided to go for 6 and it was perfect. Busty area a little more covered than what i would like or normally do BUT it was a symphony theater night so it was perfect for the occasion. Pro. The fabric and the lace + discrete glitter made of this dress an amazing choice. I decided Tory Burch green pumps and i loved it (but i think it would look super with sandal heels as the model in the pic). Cons. At the end of the evening the hem of the skirt went down just like that. it was not embarrassing but only because it was towards the end of the soiree...otherwise...

I rented this dress for a fall wedding. Since it looked like the dress was straight and narrow at the bottom (i am smaller on top then on bottom)- i went up a size and got a 8 and a 10. the 10 was way too baggy but the 8 was a little snug. The color was really pretty and it was comfortable to wear. I ended up wearing the stick on bra because a black or nude bra would have looked funny.

The fit was pretty much perfect. I tried the 4 on first and while it was a tad bit more comfortable around the waist, the zipper area was slouchy and didn't look good. Luckily the 2 wasn't too tight and fit like a glove. There was still a small amount of zipper slouch depending on how I was standing but it wasn't noticeable. It was great to get several compliments throughout the night. Definitely recommend this dress for any formal event.

The dress was true to size. It was quite snug in the rib cage so don't size down. The lace back was gorgeous! You'll need to get some pasties. I wore it with black, opaque tights and some edgy black heeled booties.

I loved this dress, and it was a perfect choice for a winter wedding. The illusion lace in the back is a lot of fun. It shows as having a bit of gold sparkle to it which makes it more fun than just an LBD. Since the back is illusion lace, you do need to wear a backless bra or some other backless option.

A little shorter than I expected which works for me but everybody may not love that. Fit was excellent even for a large-ish bust.

I got this dress with the original intention of wearing the 0. It fit very well, but it had a hole in the lace near the thigh. I wasn't too obvious, but I'm really one to notice everything. I ended up wearing the backup size - 2, which fit fine as well. there wasn't much of a difference between the two sizes. The 2 was maybe half an inch or so longer, and did allow for more "breathing space" in case I wanted to stuff myself over dinner (which I did). But even the 0 would have stretched a little. The band cinches the waist so that it really accentuates your shape, so I can see it being flattering on various body types. RTR also came through with their excellent customer service (as usual), when I told them about the damage on the dress. They gave me a discount code for my next order. RTR never fails to impress in this regard. Fabulous clothes, unparalleled service. I have been a faithful RTR customer, and will remain so for years to come!

Top half fit very well. I wore one of those stick on bras, and there was plenty of room. The bottom half was a little bit snugger and the band was form fitting without feeling too tight. Overall, loved the back of the dress (everyone complimented me on it!). There is a big white tag on the upper left portion of it that can be seen through the lace. Luckily, my tag had fallen off the dress so I didn't have to wear it with it! This dress is perfect for NYE, not too sparkly and zero sequins which makes it incredibly comfortable. Hate how itchy sequins can be! Would definitely recommend this dress to a friend.

This dress is so gorgeous! I felt great wearing it all night; not only because it was comfortable, but also because I felt exquisite. In photos, the dress gives off a silver look, but in person, it does have a gold tint to it (described in the "Product Details" tab on the dress's page). I was reassured that the Nubra push-up was a smart purchase with this dress: the upper back is completely sheer, and I personally like the "naked" look. Speaking of the sheer back, the one negative thing I will say about this dress, is that there are two obnoxious white tags on the back, which contradicts the entire appeal. I really don't understand why the designer would a.) place them there, and b.) make them WHITE tags. Luckily, my boyfriend is very crafty (go figure), and was able to roll up and pin them out of view. If you're wearing your hair down, or in a side style, you can probably manipulate a concealment with your hair. As far as fit, the dress does not stretch (mentioned on the "Size & Fit" tab), and overall, the length, hips, and bust fit in the right spots, even with my wider frame and large butt. I always wear a size 8, and ordered a 10 for the backup. I opted to wear the 8, as the 10 was too loose, but ideally a 9 (if existed) would have been made for me, solely due to the waist. For my measurements, my waist is small, compared to my hips. But I do have a tiny beer gut. After I was drinking and eating, and "expanded" a little bit, I did wish that waistband had just a little stretch! Even so, I still mark the dress as True To Size. Just be honest with yourself that if you have a problem area with your tummy, you may want to go with something different, or will want to steer away from the buffet table. Overall, be sure to read all the tabs on the dress's page (do this for any dress), so that there are no surprises as other people mention when they review. Happy Renting!

The dress was unique with the lace back and very flattering. It was a little large on top since I sized up for fuller hips, however it did not look bad. I did use a nubra and it looked great. I did not have any issue with the waist being too tight as some other reviewers did. I would definitely recommend.

The back of the dress is what makes it so amazing! The band around the middle section did feel a little snug but I do have a large rib cage. It is also more of a gold tone in person. It appears really silver in RTR picture. Fabulous dress all around!

I rented this dress for RTR's "Our Runway" event and paired it with black tights and black booties (since it was October in NYC- brr!). Looked great, and I'm certainly keep it in mind for the upcoming holiday season. The back is completely lace, which caused a dilemma with regards to undergarments...plan accordingly!:)
