The 8 was a perfect fit although it was a tad long. I wore high, high heels so this remedied the length. The jewelry I rented to go along with the dress really made the outfit. I am hooked!

This dress was spectacular. The high double slit in the skirt made it easy to walk and dance, but wasn't too obvious when I was just mingling at the party. It was comfortable for the long night because it was fitted, but did not require the tightest Spanx.

It fits true to size and you can where a basic strapless bra with it. No special undergarments are needed.

I was able to wear a strapless bra just fine, and I paired it with nude hose and 3 inch nude patent leather shoes. I also went with the suggested braclet, which really set it off. Highly recommend this dress, even better in person.

Beautiful. The color was breathtaking and it was very lightweight. It ran a little long for me (I'm 5'2 and I was wearing 4 inch heels), but I was able to get it hemmed at the Henri Bendel location on 5th avenue. Walking in it after I got it hemmed was easy. Wore this to an Academy ball and was happy to see that no one else had anything like it. I accessorized this is black strappy heels, a gold punch out cuff, a gold flower barrette, and a gold clutch. Everything I wanted in a dress, would highly recommend.

I wore this to a wedding. I received several compliments throughout the evening, the best one had to have been from my husband. As others have said, this dress does not conceal anything so if your comfortable with your figure then rent this beautiful dress! This dress is great for dancing and is extreamly comfortable, a bra will not work with this dress.

This dress is absolutely stunning. A forest green with gold sequins with black lines running through them. I wore a 6 and it was very true to size, wasn't sweeping the floor and wasn't showing my ankles either. The only, only complaint I have is that it is not the most flattering, especially on the stomach. Other than that, the slits are sexy, the fabric on the inside makes your legs feel silky, and the color will look great on any skin tone (trust me, I'm porcelain. All of my veins are visible and I still looked amazing in this dress). Refer to images. Bottom line, if you're trying to decide between this dress and a different one, undoubtedly choose this one. It made my night super special, and I received tons of compliments!

This was my first RTR rental and definitely will not be my last. I wore this gown to prom and received nothing but compliments. The two slits in the front gave the dress that extra spark and made it easy to dance. I recommend this dress to anyone who is considering it, you will not be disappointed.

Man, did this dress make me feel beautiful. I wore the gown to an Inaugural Ball in January and even though there were thousands of dresses around me, I got compliments and stares all night long! The cut is extremely flattering (gave me hips!) and the slits at the bottom were not awkward at all. If you stand straight and walk normally, you can't even tell that they are there. At 5'6", I ordered the 4R and wore 3" heels and the dress was millimeters from the ground, so the length was perfect. I also paired it with gold bangles and a single gold ring, since the neckline is a statement piece all on its own. This was the first dress I ordered from RTR and is also my favorite!

i ordered this dress as a backup to a nicole miller dress and ended up loving it! i took a guess at my size and it ended up being perfect, although i will say that around my bust area it was a little snug, but it ended up being fine once i got it on. i recently gained a lot of weight so i wanted something that would make me look thinner and i totally think this dress worked magic! i'm moroccan so i totally went with a whole arabic theme for prom and the complements wouldn't stop coming! i legit love this dress cannot say enough!

Honestly, I was very worried about this dress because it was coming in two days before prom and I had no idea whether or not I would like it. I was nervous about the two slits, but it turns out that it couldn't have been any more perfect. The color was beautiful. The gold sequins and cut of the neckline gave it a greek goddess feel that was so incredibly unique. I didn't want to go with a typical prom dress, and this was the perfect alternative. It was so easy to move and dance in , and I didn't have to worry bout it falling down at all. I would recommend it to anyone/everyone. (I wore flats with my dress because my date wasn't very tall, and it was the perfect length. I would have needed to 2 tall if I waned to wear heels)

This is one of my absolute favorite gowns that we have at RTR! It is not a super fitted style, but it is still super sexy with double slits to show off those legs as you walk! I took a close up to show the gold detailing on the top of the dress! You cannot wear a strapless bra with this style, so I would recommend wearing a backless bra which worked great for me all night! I wore 5" heels and the length hit a couple of inches off of the ground.

If you are super self-conscious of the fat just under your armpits, this dress might undo you. I wore my hair down and long, which solved the problem very nicely. I loved everything else about it and wish it was still hanging in my closet!

I had my party at a Mediterranean lounge in NYC. This dress suited the occasion so perfectly and all my friends were in awe. I would recommend wearing it with the Anton Heunis, Grace Bracelet that I rented as well!

You are not going to want to sit still in this stunner. The way the dress moves when you walk and dance is just gorgeous. Tons of compliments and one happy husband = a success!

I wore this dress for a hospital Gala and it was perfect. The green color was just the right amount of unique along with the gold sequins op top. The length was perfect with 3" heels and it was confortable for a night of greeting, eating and dancing. The 2 slits were not inappropriate and were only visible while walking or dancing. Highly recommended!

A beautiful dress that stood out while fitting in. I wore spanx and a regular strapless bra and just had to pull down the spanx/bra in the back a little bit so it didn't show. It has a tight fit and it's very unforgiving. Unlike other expensive dresses that will suck you in and create a waistline, this all silk and assumes you have supermodel abs so I would suggest spanx with this dress. The dress was dragging on the floor a bit with 3-inch heels so I just barely made the regular size work in terms of length (I'm 5'3"). Overall, I was very happy with this dress and received a lot of compliments.

Sitting down it might be a little tight around the belly, but the dress fit perfect . It had its flow, sexy slits, and the color is different.

Perfect for a 30th birthday party for a good friend. Having just come back from India, this dress had a great flair to the top of it that made it unique. The slits in the bottom of the dress were pretty high -- they came up to mid thigh, but unless you were walking, they did not make the dress look risqué. The dress was flowy and not tight, but only very slightly negative thing about this dress was that the lines that run down the middle of the dress slightly enhanced any type of tummy you had. This was minimal and i'm still glad I rented this dress!

It was a little bit loose on the bust, and had to hold it up a few times. It was really comfortable to dance in, though.

This dress was beautiful! I loved the gold/black sequins around the neck and the sexy slits. This dress flowed beautifully when I walked. I ordered my normal size (8) and one size up (10) just in case. I was a disappointed to find out that the size that fit me better (size 8) had a small line of missing sequins on the chest area. I called RTR and they were quick to resolve the matter! I am impressed with the delivery and customer service of this dress, but I only wish the missing sequins were caught by RTR before shipping it to me. To sum it up, it was a gorgeous dress and I would definitely rent from RTR again!

I wore this dress to an Inaugural Ball. This dress was beautiful! The slits were gorgeous whenever walking or dancing, and showed off my legs without my ever feeling exposed. It was very comfortable for hours and and hours. It fits really true to size I wouldn't have gone down a size or up one. Overall it was very pretty if not a bit safe for my taste. I wore it with three-four inch black via spiga heels and it even looked good with my black leather jacket. Certainly worked for a black tie event at the last minute. Rent the Runway was awesome I'll certainly use it again for a big event.

I really felt like Cleopatra in this gown! I wore it to a Mardi Gras ball and it was perfect! It FIT; I didn't have to wear shapewear underneath (a huge plus for me) and it took me through a sit-down dinner, dancing and breakfast! The leg slits are super sexy; I would definitely rent this again! I'm 5'8, 145 lbs, usually an 8/10. The 8 would have worked with some shapewear, but the 10 looked fantastic au naturel. The length was perfect for my height- I wore 3 inch heels. It only gets 4 stars because it arrived wrinkled. I called RTR and they said they'd reimburse me to have it steamed (they did), but it was one more thing to do on my event day that I stressed me out a little.

I actually used this dress to do my own rendition of Cleopatra for Halloween. Naturally the dress was very beautiful on and I would recommend it for any body type. It is comfortable to move around in and very flattering. It was a bit long on me (granted I am on the shorter side), nothing a pair of 5 inch heels couldn't fix!

Loved this dress and received a million compliments! Both the 6L and the 8L fit, but the slits in front are a bit high, so I went with the 8 for the extra length. Normally I feel that long dresses can be a bit bridesmaid-y, but this was elegant and unique. I would definitely rent it again!

I wore this dress for the Bacchus Mardi Gras Gala in New Orleans. I received compliments all night. The dress has 2 ultra high slits in front which is very dramatic when you walk. I am 5'11" and the Long hit exactly where it should with 4 inch heels. I would purchase this dress at full price in a second if I could find it. I typically wear dresses with a lot of structure - this dress was airy but well constructed. No need for spanx and I even got away with not wearing a bra and both are hard for me to do.

Hurrah, the ONLY dress that RtR sent me in the size I ordered! Thank goodness I liked it, b/c the other dresses were no good and I would have been out of luck because their customer service never called me back on Saturday. All that said, the neckline is gorgeous, the length was perfect with 3" heels, and the double slits in the front were sexy as h*ll. I would rent it again, but probably one size smaller. Wear your hair up to show off the back.
