I rented this dress for a bridal shower and got a ton of compliments on it. It was also nice to pick it up in the Flatiron store and try it on before I hopped on the train to head there (and meet the President of RTR who was at the store!). The color and fit were great and I felt totally comfortable in it. This dress may not be good for large-chested women: I was able to get away with going braless (as a 36B) because the chest was so tight. If you have a large chest, you may want to size up. It doesn't have any give in the fabric, so definitely wear Spanx if you plan on eating a lot!

I'm usually a 2, but ordered the 2 and 0 after reading others' comments about a slightly loose fit. I could have worn either, frankly, but ended up in the 0 mostly because I didn't want to wear a bra, ha ha. It was very comfortable to dance in (no high kicks, of course ;), and I received lots of compliments on it throughout the night. Other reviewers mention a loose waistline, but that's just the cut of the dress, and it's really stunning, with perky colors and tasteful length to boot! Order it!

This dress was beautiful. I was a little iffy at first to order it because others were saying it was long. For the event I was at, my college graduation, it was just the right length. If it was any shorter I feel like it wouldn't have been as elegant and sophisticated as it was. I loved this dress. It was a little tight in my hip area, and I'm pretty petite, but it didn't bother me that much, had to raise it a little if I wanted to walk faster. Other than that, rent this dress!! Got tons of compliments!

I rented this dress for an outdoor wedding. I typically wear a 2 in dresses, and ordered the 2 and 4. The 2 fit great! It is forgiving but figure flattering. Sometimes dresses are too short for weddings (especially when sitting), but this was the perfect length.

Wore this for my college graduation. I got lots of compliments, the dress was fun and appropriate. It is a little longer than it looks in the picture, but still looked great. LOVED IT!

Rented this dress and the necklace for a wedding! Got so many compliments on it and it fit perfectly! I usually wear a 6 and ordered the 8 as the back up size but the 6 fit perfect, didn't even try the 8 on! Can't wait for my next event to rent a dress!

My first RTR experience! Loved this dress. Luckily I read the reviews and sized up because I ended up having to wear a 10 when I'm an 8. It was tight on my chest (but most dresses are) It fit great everywhere else! I was actually surprised at how much of a difference in the 2 sizes there were. The 10 was loose in the hips and the 8 was tight in the hips with no ability to zip it the whole way. Loved this dress though, great first experience!

I chose the 10 and for some reason I didn't select a free second size (either it wasn't available at the time or I was feeling particularly bold that day). The fabric doesn't really stretch so if you have a tummy and/or thicker thighs, it's going to be a little tight in those areas. I received the size 10 dress Friday evening (event was Saturday night) and by the time I tried it on and realized it was a little too tight, it was past the time to order an overnight shipment of the next size up. Luckily, the stylist worked a miracle and got a 12 to my doorstep by 9 a.m. the next morning! I went to a wedding by the water and it was a perfect length/style/color for the event. Teal accessories looks great with it, and the pattern on the dress gives it a little pop.

This dress was great for a rehearsal dinner, although true to what the other reviewers have said. It's a little tight in the bust and hip areas, and loose in the middle. I wore nude heels and a small necklace from J Crew with it. Got plenty of compliments! Runs true to size.

When I first put this on I was disappointed it wasn't more fitted through the waist but it is still a great dress. Definitely size down because it is a looser fitting dress. I rented this for a graduation and it was great, so comfortable and light weight. Not sure it would be dressy enough for a super formal event though.

I'm always enticed by these beautiful, brightly colored sheath dresses, but it is difficult for me to comfortably wear them because I am pear-shaped. This dress was no different! The dress gathered around my hips (tight), and it did not have a defined waist, so I could not show off my best asset. I ended up wearing the 2 because the 4 was just way too big around the waist and bust--even though the hip tightness bothered me when I was dancing. *I* wouldn't rent this dress again--but I would recommend it to friends with a more athletic body shape/narrower hips!

Chose this dress to wear to our party announcing our engagement! The sapphire in my ring is yellow and the dress and ring paired quite perfectly! Got a lot of compliments!! :) Fit: I have a pear shaped body and bigger butt/thighs, the fit was tight on my butt (to be expected). The 4 zipped but did not look attractive and made it tough to sit down. I wore the 6 which was still tight on the butt but looked nicer. Pros: beautiful color, nice detailing, comfortable Cons: Had to pull the dress down a little to get it to sit properly on my butt (if you have a straight body type won't be a problem). I gave it a 4 because it ended up not looking as flattering on my stomach/waist as it was loose there Differences: I think the image on RTR "lightens" the embroidered details on the front. They are a much deeper color than they appear on the model. The design is very apparent. Doesn't lend itself to as many necklaces as i thought (because the dress is already a little busy) unless you are using it for more of a night time event (like the way its styled with the model was overwhelming on my short figure). Overall a very beautiful dress!

This dress fit very true to size. It was great for a daytime wedding, definitely not dressy enough for an evening event. I added a little colorful jewelry and it was perfect.

It was snug in the hips, and loose in the waist, unless you reallllllly petite I wouldn't recommend- (i'm 5'6 and dont have the largest hips) but its a gorgeous dress - so much prettier on then on the rack

Overall great dress! Runs a little big in the mid section area, but looked cute with a belt! The skinny belt cinched the waist which helped to add some shape. Got many compliments!

Overall, I liked this dress okay. The colors in the photo look very vibrant, but in reality, it was a little bit of a burnt orange color and reminded me of the 60s, rather than sparkly and bright as I imagined. I still liked it though--just order a size up because it runs a little smaller than you'd think!

I am between sizes 4-6. This dress is meant for more professional/business/formal dinner type events so I opted for the less body-con fit (size 6 for me) because of my ruler-shaped body and because this dress does not stretch. I loved the abstract middle design, the lines are textured, making it subtle yet eye-drawing

I wore this dress for a summer wedding and felt tastefully dressed. The unique color and embroidery makes this dress stand out. I "sexed up" the more conservative cut of this dress by pairing it with some pointy toed snake skin stilettos, which tied in the thin snake skin piping that runs down the front of the dress. I found it snug in the bust (I am busty AND breastfeeding, so this was anticipated) and looser in the midsection… but being 3 months postpartum, I didn't mind the extra room! I found that the dress was busy enough to go sans jewelry. I would definitely rent this dress again.

This dress runs pretty "straight" and I have a curvy hourglass figure. I would order 1-2 sizes up.

I wore this for a winter wedding. I expected everyone to be wearing dark colors, and I was right--so this dress really stood out from all the rest. I received so many compliments from both women and men. After reading the reviews about how the dress runs small and is very tight on the hips and glutes (which mine are quite muscular), I was nervous to order it, but I just loved the design that I had to try it. It is true though, the dress does fit snugly around the hips and shoulders as well. So if you're a petite, I would absolutely recommend this dress to you!

Loved this dress. It's subtle yet modern and elegant. The lines are very flattering. I would rent it again, actually. It's hard to see on the picture how well made and detailed the stitched design is on the front. Wore it out with the necklace that is on the model and received compliments all night from random people. Honestly - I had several people ask me where I got it and telling me how fashionable it was - which never happens to me!

I really like this dress. Very simple but with a little twist. I have a small waist and hips so it was a tad loose one me. I didn't mind but it did make my torso very straight all the way down. It did make me look more mature/older/conservative for my young asian look. I paired it with some nude platforms which softens the look even more. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't loose around my hips and showed no butt curves. A little tailored and it would have been perfect.

I rented this dress for a work event dinner. The length and cut was perfect, young, yet professional. I threw a black blazer over it (even though it didn't need it) and black pumps and loved it. I paired it with a pearl necklace and pearl earrings. The only thing was that it was tight on the butt. I would've liked to try on the size 8, but instead I sized down to a 4 which didn't work at all. Loved the dress and would rent it again, but I suggest sizing up--the dress is a shift dress so its not really supposed to show any curves which is why it is perfect for work!

As another reviewer experienced, the dress isn't ideal for hourglass figures (at least with size 6 measurements). My dress was tight in the bust and hips but loose in the waist. Not terrible but the size 8 was too large. Sacrificed some comfort but received compliments the whole night.

I wore this for a good friend's baby shower. It was cute but the shoulders run small and the fact that it is silk provides no stretch. I went up to the size 12 even though I typically wear and 8 or 10.

This is a good, comfortable, safe dress, no wow factor though!
