I'm usually a size 6 but the size 4 fit me better. The material is thick but not bulky. It was a bit short. Overall I highly recommend this dress.

I was excited to wear this to a work event over the holidays. It was the perfect blend of classy and sexy, without being over the top. The jacket gives full coverage but the legs will steal the show so make sure you put some shimmer lotion on them! I mimicked the look of one of the previous renters by breaking up the black with a corsage - I liked the look of that because I'm petite and felt I was swimming in a sea of black up top. It needed it. Since I did the color pop I opted for no other jewelry except some simple studs. I also wore with black heels. This tux dress runs a little big. I normally wear 6 but I wore this in 4 and there was plenty of room left. I still had to fold the sleeves in about an inch. As soon as I arrived to the party, i started receiving compliments. Would love to rent again!

This was perfect for a company holiday party. The event fell on a day where the temperature never got above zero, and the hotel ballroom was also chilly, so I was very happy to have this dress to keep me warm (I wore a long-sleeved shirt with a v-neck underneath). I am 5'9" and there is NO WAY I could have worn this dress on its own without being indecent, so I paired it with leather leggings. I got many compliments on this look. I wish I could buy this dress—it pained me to send it back!

I would imagine that if you are much taller than me (5'4") sitting down could be challenging if you are worried about showing off too much upper thigh. Throw some short black bike shorts on underneath and you are good to go. I liked the roominess of the fit. But if you want a more form fitted vibe, size down. This was the perfect dress to rock lace up thigh highs in- which also helped me feel more covered but still sexy.

I rented it for a government cocktail party and dinner. It looks sexy but not trashy. I have broad shoulders and the 8 was too large for my shoulders and upper back, so I wore the 6 and it fit just right. I felt comfortable and self confident throughout the night of sitting, standing, and dancing. It's short, and I recommend for anyone with long, toned legs. My husband said I looked "hot," and he rarely comments on my clothing or appearance, so I'll take it! I'd love to own this dress.

I wore this to my friend's birthday party and received a ton of compliments. The length was perfect as I don't like things too short The neckline was very feminine and flattering. The sleeves were a bit long so I just rolled them up for the night which wasn't a big deal for me. I would also wear this with leggings next time I do rent it for a totally different look!

I ordered both the 6 and the 8. With the help of some high-waisted spanx to keep everything smooth, the 6 was perfect. The 8 was just a bit too loose and was, obviously, a bit longer. Even though I'm short, this dress was still short and sexy on me- hit about mid-thigh. The sleeves were long, but since they are lined in satin, they look great rolled. I loved this dress and would absolutely rent it again.

I absolutely loved this dress. It fit like it was made for me, was not too tight, and was so comfortable. It's a little on the short side, but I never had any issues with my slip showing. Loved the dress! Looks very expensive and is well made. For me it ran larger - I normally wear a 0 (5'6", 105 lbs) but the dress was big so I had to pin it. The sleeves were long so I had to roll them. Even with that it was still an amazing dress! I wore little black spanx shirts underneath and was fine.

This tuxedo dress was so comfortable and pretty. I got compliments all night. I give it a 4 stars because the shoulder pads are really thick and tall. The sleeves are very long, and the dress is too short to sit down. I decided to wear a larger size because I was afraid to show too much and it was still too short.

Sleeves were a lttle long, but the dress was very comfortable. You can dress it with sandals, boots and it is still very sexy. It was a little shorter in the back because of my shape (not ashamed at all). Just keep that in mind when ordering and sitting down in the dress.

I loved wearing this tuxedo dress more than I thought I would! I ordered it for a costume for Halloween weekend and it was so much fun to wear. I used it for two costumes: a gangster/mob girl and the Monopoly (wo)man! It was great for an outside party - I was warm but not too covered up. I wanted to take this dress and wear it out on the town for a fancy event. I got a lot of compliments and it felt great all night. I always fall between a two and a four depending on the cut of the garment. Because I have a narrow waist, the 2 fit me perfectly - I didn't even try on my backup size 4.

The dress was nice but arrived wrinkled, the hanger also broke when I tried it on. It didn't fit so well on me because I have a large bust and RTR only had a size 6 :( I decided to wear it as a jacket instead and I think it worked out pretty good for me.

I rented this for my birthday and could not wear it. It fit everywhere except the material was pulling around the chest area and looked like the thing was about to pop open at the chest area. Couldn't wear it. Didn't get the next size up (that was my mistake) and so I'm not sure if the 10 would have solved that problem, or if it is really not meant for women who have the boobs. The dress is also very short - I liked that but if you are planning on sitting at any point in the evening, that could present an interesting choice as to what you are willing to flash.

You can add pants or tights or even a skirt or wear this as a trench coat or jacket over another dress. I wore it with a fedora to a Gatsby party and received tons of compliments!

This dress is SHORT. I am petite so it was still an appropriate length, but if you are average height consider it a mini. Sleeves are long as well. Very cute, polished and professional for an after hours work event.
