I absolutely LOVED this dress and was so bummed when I had to send it back! It was a very flattering dress and light fabric. I wore it to a steakhouse in the city to celebrate turning 30 and got so many compliments on it. Would definitely rent it again!!

The dress is extremely comfortable and fits beautifully. The color is unique. I was pleasantly surprised that what looks like gold in the pictures is actually copper. Rent the Runway customer service is stellar.

This dress fit perfectly, and has adjustable straps on the bronze liner (top). The cut and color were very flattering, and I got many compliments.

You can't see from the picture, but I wore gold shoes and a beautiful bangle bracelet (also rented). The dress was very comfortable (I know because I was up all night dancing!). I usually wear sizes 6-8 depending on the fit. This dress on me was looser up top and tight across the hips, but not too tight (just make sure you wear appropropriate undergarments). This was my first experience with RTR and I will definitely use them again for next affair!

I wore to this a "formal" attire" wedding and it was the perfect dress. I normally wear a 6 or 8, depending on the fit through the hips and thighs. I opted for the 6 since the top is pretty blousy and loose, and it was pretty fitted on the botto, but looked great since the fabric has a nice stretch to it. I can definitely see how this would fit best on an hour-glass shape. With a smaller chest, you could get lost in the top. The colors and fabric are gorgeous and top-quality.

I rented this dress for the Mayor's Art Council Banquet in Lincoln, Nebraska. The color of the dress is a deep coral and the accent bodice and underskirt are gold on gold. The fabric is lush and the detailing and construction, especially at the front shoulders is superior. Although I would not think someone with a short torso would be pleased with the drapiness of the bodice, this is an extremely forgiving dress that skims the body. The attached camisole is adjustable, so you are never uncomfortable. In a dark ballroom, this dress stood out. I am very pleased, at my age, to take advantage of many of the dresses on Rent the Runway. The key is to carefully consider the stylist's fit details and other reviews on fit and wearability.

I wore this dress to my friend's summer wedding and received so many compliments. I don't normally wear dresses this color but I was so intrigued by it that I took a chance. I'm glad I did becase the color was spectacular. I wore the dress with very simple and delicate gold necklaces, a gold bangle, and drop earrings. I also decided on nude shoes instead of black shoes -- I thought the black shoes against the color was too harsh. I ordered both the 6 and 8 size but the 8 was too large on top -- it just hung on me. Thankfully the size 6 ended up being the better fit. If you're not tall, I don't recommend this dress for you. I'm 5'7" without heels.

This dress is beautiful and perfect for as wedding. The only issue I had was it needed to be pinned in a few places to keep it from looking like I was wearing a tent in front. Aside from the draping effect which did not work for my body-type, I was quite pleased with this dress.

Great color and well-made material. This dress was a little clingy around the hips/butt area- so beware of that! The hemline was fun, but I could see where it would be long/awkward length on someone shorter.

This dress fits pretty TTS, I loved the bold color and the draping of the dress on the front is really nice. I will say the top was a little looser than I wanted it to be and I really needed double stick tape to keep my bra from being exposed. Luckily, my long hair covered that part on my chest but then you couldn't see the beautiful front draping I mentioned. The bottom skirt part fit perfectly and looked fab (and the fabric was a little stretchy). Overall, loved the dress, wish I had double stick tape.

Runs big; order a size down; because of the blousing fabric, this is better for a taller person (I'm only 5'1)

Before I discuss why I only gave the dress two stars, I would like to express a couple of positive points. First, my experience with RTR has been nothing short of amazing; I lost a significant amount of weight, and RTR allowed me to switch sizes on my orders with complete ease. Second, I happen to love Rachel Roy dresses. The material is so chic and comfortable—two adjectives that, too often, do not go hand-in-hand. I read a lot of unflattering reviews about this dress before taking the plunge to rent. Most of the negative comments were about the long length, but I am 5’11”, so the comments did not affect me. I ordered this dress as a back-up dress, knowing that I’d love the other dress I ordered; if this one didn’t work out, it wasn’t a big deal. I took it out of the packaging and was immediately drawn to the gorgeous (gorgeous being an understatement!) color and fabrics. Then I tried the dress on, and the magic dissolved. The bottom half fit beautifully, and I looked mighty hot. However, the top half made me lose my waist and hourglass figure, and I looked like I gained 30 pounds. The dress looked fabulous from a profile view, but it would be awkward to walk that way an entire night ;). I’d only recommend this dress for someone who is big busted and apple-shaped.

More than one person told me it was their favorite dress they had seen at the wedding. My boyfriend loved it so much, 4 months later, he told me to rent it for the next wedding were attending!

I love almost any Rachel Roy dress, as her styles tend to flatter my body type (5'3", large bust, short & small waisted, small hips). Normally wear a size 6, wore an 8 while 4 months pregnant and it fit perfectly. Got tons of compliments, as the color was beautiful and style very flattering.

wore this to a rehearsal dinner for a black tie wedding in DC. Even though I had to wear the 12, it was a perfect fit. The bride, a vogue model who I had never met before the dinner, stopped dead in her tracks when she saw me and told me my dress was stunning. My husband said it really looked like a designer dress. This was the 1st rental from RTW and I've done about 6. I've been extremely satisfied with each pick. I hav3 3 formal events in Feb and I'm on here ordering now for all 3!

I am larger in the chest and this dress was very comfortable and looked just like in the picture! I loved it!

I loved this dress for my date night. The material is nice and light so it was good for a humid evening. The color is very flattering. I liked it so much that I might end up renting it again for a special event I have coming up.

This dress is beautiful. I got rave reviews all night at a friend's wedding. I do not recommend this dress unless you are 5'7" or taller. It is best for a long waisted woman - the top has too much fabric if you are short-waisted. (My measurement from the bone at the base of the neck to true waist is 16 1/2") A size 6 was almost too long waisted for me, but overall fit great. I ordered the size 8 as backup - you would need to be at least 5'9" and have neck to waist measurement of 17 1/2"+ or be large breasted to wear the size 8. The model in the picture is 5'10" - note how much drape there is at the waist of the dress. If you are 5'2, or very short waisted, you will not be happy with this dress. My measurements are 33-28-37. The skirt of the dress fit amazingly. It hugs the waist and hips just as pictured. I loved that it came right to the knee - so easy to sit in, walk in, dance in. worked well with a strapless bra and bronze pumps. I am ordering the dress again for another event. Love it! Though I may try a 4 as backup size this time. The colors are true to the picture, rich, vibrant and lovely. The fabric is a nice weight knit, drapes well and doesn't wrinkle.

I wore this dress to a reunion and it was perfect. The color is an orangey coral with dark bronze trim. The attached cami was the same dark bronze checked design. The cami straps are adjustable which provided great coverage for the slightly conservative event. This is a great dress for ladies with a large bust. I am 34dd, 30 in waist, 40 in hips and the size 10 fit beautifully and comfortably.

Nice material, fit well and was forgiving of the hips and tummy. I could wear a regular bra as well. I ordered a 12 to have options but the 10 fit very nicely so I didn't need it. The fabric had some give to it so it would be comfortable for several hours wear and sitting. I ended up in another dress, but this was a strong contender and I know it wouldn't be on any other woman at my event.

This was a great dress for our new year's eve celebration. It was incredibly easy to wear, with no fuss at all. The vibrant coral color and unusual style stood out in a room full of lacy lbd's. It moved well for dancing. The dress has ample room at the top - more than I needed - and is a little more fitted around the hips. The ten pulled a bit at my hips, so I went with the 12. It was a bit loose at the waist, and in both the 10 and 12 I would say there was too much material above the waist, so that the dress did not provide the most flattering shape, but it was still very attractive. I loved the fabric of both the coral outer layer and the orange chess-board patterned lining and piping (the orange fabric is silky soft).

It almost seemed like the top and bottom were 2 different sizes. The top in the size 2 fit me perfect, but the skirt of it was too tight. I ended up wearing the size 4, so the top was a bit loose. Got many compliments on the dress! The color was outstanding.

If I was 4 inches taller would have fit great however, the bodice was too long so pinned up the excess drape. Easy to hide though with the blouson fit. Loved that the underchemise had adjustable lingerie straps so I was really comfortable and felt like a star!

Fortunately, this was my back up dress. I really didn't love it. It was ok, but I ultimately didn't love the colors or the fit on me.

I love the colors and would definitely recommend this for an office outing or business lunch. However, I rented this dress for a wedding and actually sent it back without wearing it. The cut is much too conservative and the fit makes even a curvy girl look shapeless. Overall, it's pretty, but was not right for my occasion.

I had the 4 and the 6. The 4 made me feel like Margaret Dumont from an old Marx Brothers movie- very matronly. The 6 fit perfectly on the chest but I swam in the rest of it. Incredibly pretty dress, though.

Was flattering in the top, but too tight for comfort in the hips. Spoke with stylist before I bought and based on my measurements, they suggested to go down a backup size and I should have gone up.

I'm not as tall as other reviewers, but I do have a long torso --- very necessary to carry this dress on my five-foot-five frame. The top of the size four was more flattering, but the lower portion was more fitted than I was comfortable wearing. I have relatively broad shoulders and a large bust though, so I was able to carry the size 6's bigger top. I agree with others that this is a dress for someone who is either tall, has a long torso or a larger bust.

I could not tell from the photograph, but the skirt on this dress is cut like a pencil skirt. Had I known, I would not have rented this dress - pencil cuts do not work on my body. I have a small waist and curvy behind and thighs, and the skirt hugged my lines, even in the larger size. The fabric is an unlined silk crepe, which also showed more imperfections that I would have liked. I was hoping for a looser A-line. I had to run to the store and get Spanx, which did the trick. The waist was a bit big on me, luckily I had a slim belt with me that I used to cinch it into place - the belt tucked under the drape of the top and could not be seen. Having done all that I was pretty comfortable and happy with the look of the dress. I would still recommend this dress, but I would say that it's a little hard to predict how it will look on your particular body. I prefer to wear a dress that does not require Spanx.

I ordered this as a back up dress for a wedding. This dress ran a little large and a 10 would have fit me much better than the 12 I got. I felt like I was swimming a little in this dress and ultimately didn't wear it. However, the color is very pretty in person and the cut makes it very comfortable.

This dress added a lot of weight to me without more structure around the waist

I ended up not wearing the dress because it was too big on top and tight around the hips. I agree with the earlier review that it takes a tall woman to pull this off. I'm 5'6" and it was unflattering from the waist up -- there's just a little too much material. The dress would also work for a fuller busted woman.
