Not stretchy, but fit well for an hourglass shape. It was the right length for a shorter person, as well. Very much enjoyed this dress and may rent it again in the future!

I went with the smaller size so it does run a little larger. It did fit really well, especially if you want a form fitting dress.

I have been wearing size 8 for over 10 years, hasn't changed much over that time. I ordered an 8 and a 10. Thank goodness I ordered both because the 8 was skin tight, very unflattering. Luckily, the 10 was perfect. The length was perfect, at the knee. The sleeves fit well. The dress as a whole was comfortable. Very classy, but not intimidatingly fancy. 100% worth it.

It was very cold when I wore this to my husband's graduation ceremony from the Airforce, so the thick material of this dress was greatly appreciated. I wore it with black tights. I appreciated that it had blue and black (it matched my black tights and coat, but still supported the boys in blue). The blue however kind of blended in with the black in pictures as you can see. The cut of the dress was beautiful and I did receive lots of compliments.

My review is a little late but I loved this dress! Wore to an event in the winter - the material kept me warm without being too hot while inside. I ordered a size 0 and 2. The 0 was a little snug in the middle once the dress was zipped so I ended up wearing the 2. The only negative was the length - fell a little farther past my knees than I would have liked( most likely due to my shorter height). I would definitely rent this dress again!

I rented this dress for a Chief's dinner I attended with my husband - it was perfect to wear to the office then run out and attend this dinner in! I ended up going up a size because the 0 was tight around my hips and butt - the fabric does not give at all. Going up a size meant that the sleeves were a little baggy, but everything from the shoulders down fit great! It looked professional without being too dressy, yet it was classic enough to wear to a dinner where women wore anything from evening gowns/cocktail dresses to business casual. I wasn't over or underdressed, however, this dress can definitely be dressed up with a statement necklace!

I wore this dress for my fiancée's military graduation. It was a perfect, conservative outfit which fit this occasion perfectly. I paired with pearls and nude booties. It was a bit long falling just below the knee, but I am on the shorter side. Sleeves were also a little big, but the bodice and middle sections of the dress fit perfectly. Not a lot of stretch to this dress.

This dress is a dream. The fabric hugs every curve perfectly. I rented it to wear for my Fashion Merchandising Promotion Plan DECA presentation on Rent The Runway for my District competition; however, because of the snowstorm, it could not be delivered on time. I will definitely rent this again for my state competition! The sleeves are slightly tight at the arm holes and loose at the bottoms. I was worried the length would be too long considering I'm so petite, but it looked so classy. The double slit in the back is unique and the black contrasting panels are very flattering. Amazing dress that gives and amazing shape. I'm so sad I couldn't wear it for my event, but I will be renting it again!

I rented this dress for a research presentation. Every other presenter wore a pant suit but I stood out in a good way. I was nervous that the v-neck might cut too low but it was the perfect cut, on the length as well! I added a slim black belt around the waist and paired it with some black heels. Had to switch to black flats on my flight home but was still comfortable in the dress when traveling.

This was a good choice for a charity benefit. It is a fairly conservative dress although the gold zipper jazzes it up a bit. And I'm glad I rented a gold bracelet to wear with it. The material of the dress is very nice and the fit was just right.

I wore this to my friend's engagement party in January. It was great and I received a lot of compliments on it from a wide age-range of people. If you have a cocktail event in the winter, this dress is great for color and coverage. The sides panels and sleeve are black while the rest of the dress is a navy blue so in dimmer lighting it all looks like one color but it helps make you look a bit slimmer in pictures.

Rented three dresses for a work conference. I didn't get to wear this one out as my conference was cut short, but I did try it on. I liked the look from the front, the black accents provide some added curves, but it still looked professional rather than like a night on the town. I usually run between an 8 & 10...even the 8 was too loose. It seemed especially baggy in the stomach. Also slightly stiff feeling due to the shape in the shoulders, but I may try and rent again in the future if I can get a size smaller.

Rented for a business trip. The dress was very comfortable to travel in and easy to wear all day. It doesn't have quite the *wow* factor some of my other rentals have had, but was perfect for work. Material is a bit stretchy and can show underwear lines, so although I'm sure a size smaller would have fit, I liked that I had a little more room and it looked a bit more conservative.

I was looking for something in the style of Jackie Sharp from House of Cards to give me confidence during a keynote presentation, and this fit the bill. Very professional and simple cut, but not too boring with the blue and black paneling. I'm *pretty sure* I wore the 10 because the 8 was a little snug in the tummy/constricting in the shoulders. Since I sized up, there were some spots that were a little loose, particularly the sleeves. But overall it was very comfortable and a solid choice. Might rent again for similar events.

Rented for a bar mitzvah ceremony. Nice dress conservative yet still feminine. Liked the two tone detail and rear slits detail. I am size 6 and wore size 6. If I got a back up I would have liked to try the 8. The dress is tight and fabric is not forgiving. So I would have liked to try it with a bit more room around chest and hips. But overall I was very pleased with the rental.

I picked this mostly for the color (navy) and the fact that it had sleeves. I liked the tight but long fit. It was flattering and not too revealing, perfect for looking fancier at a business job. The color is much brighter than the picture depicts. It is definitely a deep royal blue color and not a true navy. The sleeves are black and are baggier than in the model's picture. I think the photos turned out good though. would recommend.

Wore this to an evening wedding shower. I was nervous because some reviews said it ran large and I normally wear a 4 but they only had a 6 so I went with the 6 and 8 because my arms are on the larger side. The arms were the same amount of snug in both sizes (just because I have larger arms though, on a normal we armed person they would be fine!) so I went with the 6 and I still almost wish it was a teeny bit tighter at my waist and butt but it still fit very well. I got tons of compliments and it was super flattering and comfortable and made very well.

The navy and black look very similar so the colors don't pop as much as I hoped. This dress in particular has a lingering body odor smell from previous renters. That said, it still looked stylish and professional when I wore it to work.

The dress was very tight through the hips and was very loose at my waist, but this is a common problem I have with my figure. Perfect for a full chest, everything was covered but a small peek of cleavage. The fabric was extremely comfortable and forgiving. RTR was fantastic as always!

This dress looks so much nicer in person than in the picture. It fits pretty true to size. I'm in-between sizes right now trying to lose the last of some "baby weight". The 10 could have been worn, but the 12 felt more appropriate for church. If I had been wearing it anywhere else, I would have gone with the slightly more fitted 10 that showed my figure. Even though the 12 was a little looser it skimmed my curves instead of hugged them and did not look matronly as some of the other dresses tend to if going up in size. Overall a winner and I will be looking for other Rachel Roy dresses due to great fit and overall top quality and feel of the dresses.
