Classic dress, good fit, flattering cut.

This was a stylists pick as my second choice wasn’t available and so glad they added this! I skipped by it when browsing, but when my first choice didn’t fit, was so thrilled with this dress. It’s way prettier than in the pictures. Fit beautifully around the shoulders and waist. Skirt is full to be flattering. The chest was a tad large, probably could have gone down a size. Would definitely rent this again!

Pros: SUPER comfortable. I danced ALL night, had a blast, and was never once uncomfortable. I got a ton of compliments and this was my second wedding with a lot of these folks. Some came right out asking "is this rent the runway?" "of course!" "Oh I really need to try that". Happy I got both sizes. Wore the 2 over the 4. I always get the 4 just in case it runs a tad small and I want to go up a size. Cons: If you have athletic shoulders the side sleeves might feel a bit tight. They were just perfect on my arms, but I'm glad I had the 2 sizes to compare. I still wore the 2 instead of the 4. The 4 was WAY too big.

I really liked this dress! I didn't realize it was a dark navy from the pictures, but it still worked perfectly for my event. I wore it with gold sandals and a gold purse. I usually rent a 12 or 14 and this dress only came in sizes up to 12. It was snug, but it was fine for the few hour event I wore it to. I would have sized up if I could have. If you are between sizes, I would size up. I liked the flowy skirt, the off the shoulder straps and the lace neck detailing was lovely.

The fit was great and I felt comfortable ... didn't need Spanx, could wear a strapless bra easily, etc. I wore it for NYE and dancing. I was able to dance fine and although it has the arm straps, I could even play darts. Loved this dress. It is a dark navy but much more on the black side than navy. My husband wore his black suit to complement my dress, because his navy suit didn't look as good with it. Highly recommend this dress! I rented the 6 and 8 and ended up wearing the 6. It fit perfectly!

This was the back up to my back up dress - one I chose at the last minute to be overnighted when my original AND just-in-case styles arrived and didn't fit! I ended up so happy with it. I wore it to a formal holiday party and was able to dance the night away and still have enough room to eat all the yummy party hors d'oeuvres without the dress being too tight. I think it's more flattering in person than the photo on the website shows!

I wore this for an awards dinner for work and felt so great in it!! I have bigger hips so the flowy skirt was great. It was a little big but was great since it was for work. If it was for personal I may have sized down. I got a ton of compliments and it felt great to wear something different and fun. I would rent again for sure.

Dress fit exactly to size, and I was even able to wear a black bra (racer back style straps), that blended perfectly with the lace. I'm 4'11"", so it was knee length on me, but lovely overall. Highly recommend for anything from a wedding to a work party to a date night! I wore it for thanksgiving and got compliments all around. The picture is terrible, as I didn't take many photos, but the dress is very flattering an cinches the waist right in. I have 36DDD chest, and it was comfortable.

Great dress. I wore it to a professional awards dinner. It was fun, elegant and professional. The lace collar added a nice detail. It was also really comfortable. A colleague said it's the little black dress that everyone should have.

I rented this for a holiday party and got so many compliments! It's very comfortable and the off the shoulder detail wasn't cumbersome at all. I originally thought it was black when i rented it but it's actually navy blue.

This dress fit perfectly and was the right amount of conservative covering and trendy looks! I liked that it showed off my curves without showing my stomach pooch. It did run small so I went with a size 10, and usually wear an 8

I wear 0 or 2 for dresses, and the 0 was more flattering and fit to my waistline so I wore that one! Very happy that the dress wasn't too short. The shoulder straps were on the tighter side for me (both the 0 and 2) and would ride up, but they at least weren't uncomfortable or painful at all. Got a lot of compliments in this dress (: Wish I could keep it.

I needed a last minute dress for a fundraiser dinner. I didn't want black and needed something that wasn't over-the-top formal but also not casual. This dress was perfect. The cut was amazing, the detail was perfectly subdued and the dress was beyond comfortable. I need to add this to my collection!

Loved the dress, it was exactly what I imagined when I rented it. This was my first RTR experience and I was not disappointed. I wore it to a North Carolina fall wedding. This dress is comfortable, even on the arms which was a concern. It was somewhat restrictive when it came to raising the roof on the dance floor...but perhaps that's in everyone's best interest. :)

I loved this dress! It was perfect for my boyfriends company Christmas party. I wanted something that wasn't too dressy yet outside the realm of the typical LBD and this fit the bill perfectly. It's a deep shade of navy so I paired it with burgundy pumps for a subtle pop of color. The size 0 fit me just right- snug in the right places to flatter my body without being too tight. I'm 5'3, 110 lbs. Highly recommend this dress!

The dress is beautiful and fit very well. I wore spanx underneath to help smooth lines. Otherwise the dress was perfect for the weather transition between summer to fall!

Super chic and flattering! The fact that it is navy blue makes this style much more elegant rather than if it was black. I am obsessed with its neckline! I love how it has a crew neckline with an off the shoulder detail. It is a combination of conservative and sexy as there is the top lace detail showing off some skin. If you don’t mind showing you bra strap this can be worn with a standard bra, but I would suggest using a NuBra or a strapless bra. Running true to size, I would recommend sizing up for back up. This is the perfect dress for a formal affair such as a rehearsal dinner, wedding, or graduation! Be prepared to be complimented non-stop!

I wore this dress to a summer wedding, and I absolutely loved it! The dress was very comfortable- even dancing on a hot summer night. The dress was very flattering without being too revealing- I particularly liked the peek of shoulders in the unique cut of the top half and how the skirt's slight flare elongated my legs. It was a little awkward to lift my arms but i didn't need to do that too often (if at all) so that was fine. I would rent this dress again!

This dress was perfect for my body type. It's lightweight and hides the jiggly part of your arms (if you have a jiggly part). It's a deep navy, not black. The skirt is flowy and the waist is cinched. Very flattering!

this dress fit perfectly. i am usually a size 6, so i ordered a 6 and then went with an 8 as well. The 6 was just right. it was so comfortable and i got a lot of compliments. I was afraid to lift my arms up too high in case i ripped the sleeves, but it was no issue at all. i would definitely rent this dress again I wish I owned it. This was my first rental from RTR and it could not have gone better.

Fit well, I wore a strapless bra. Very comfortable and perfect for a sit-down dinner. The color is very dark navy, not black! Would recommend!

I rented this dress for a glamour photo shoot. It was a really cute little black dress. Would definitely rent again. It didn't really hug my figure the way the other gown did, but it was still a lovely dress and so glad I brought it as my second look.

Elegant dress. I was hoping for a 10, but they only had an 8. It fit, but was a bit snug. I liked the dress, but I found it a bit shorter than I prefer.

I wore the dress for a holiday work event. The fit was admittedly a little odd and/or just not made for me...the size two was tight in the chest (think sports bra status), but the size four was roomy enough that the material gathered in several small but, still, unsightly bunches. I wore a very padded push-up bra- and yes, by padded I mean I put two extra removable bathing suit top pads inside my bra- underneath the size four and it got rid of the bunching and looked fine (I'm a 34C in the bust). It wasn't a proud moment, but hey, it worked in a pinch. The dress was very comfortable, and the length was good. However, it might not have worked great for dancing because the off-the shoulder detail does not stay on the shoulder, but goes over the shoulder, if you lift your arms up too much. The details are elegant and the fabric/navy blue color are nice as well. Overall, a good rental. Only caveats are that I probably would not recommend it for a pear-shaped person, based on the top sizing I described earlier, and I wouldn't necessarily expect it to be showstopper. It's a very classy dress, but in an understated way. If it had been an event where I really want to stand out and feel like a knock-out, I probably would have looked into a replacement dress.

Cute but not super exciting. I liked the lace detailing and off the shoulder sleeves. The dress was very comfortable and easy to dance in. I found the top to be much tighter than the bottom and went with the size 8. It wasn't super flattering across the bustline, but a regular strapless bra worked fine. I was happy with the rental but probably not something I would wear again.

Wore this outfit to my friends wedding shower and received many compliments. Wore my usual size 2. I probably could have gone up a size since it was pretty tight around the waist. I'd recommend going up a size or two for bustier women and if you don't want a form fitting midsection. The sleeves falling off the shoulder looked beautiful but it did make it hard to raise my arms up. There was enough room in the bust to wear my black bra which blended with the lace. My husband had to help me with the zipper and it was a struggle! Once it's zipped, everything stays in place and it's the unique little black dress!

This dress was really amazing!!! It was absolutely beautiful and I felt really comfortable and confident in it. I liked how unique the top of it was with the off-the-shoulder straps and lace detail. There was literally nothing about it that I didn't like. One thing to be aware of is that this may not be a truly black dress! In a certain light, it looked dark navy blue, to me.

This dress was overnighted to me after my first dress didn't fit my boobs. And I liked it even better! Im a 36DDD and breastfeeding so even bigger chested than usual and this dress fit great! The arms are slightly restrictive when dancing but all in all it's a beautiful dress and I felt great in it! The only thing to note is this dress is navy even though it looks black in the picture. The stylist at RTR was absolutely amazing and helped me pick this dress out last minute when my other one didn't fit and she overnighted it to me and I got it in time for the wedding. I was so psyched ! She was awesome. This is my first time renting and will definitely do so again with what a great experience I had!!!!!
