I rented this for a 6 course chef dinner and then an evening out afterwards and it was perfect. Was sitting at the Chef dinner for hours and the dress did not wrinkle. It is a nice fabric, kindof neoprene like, but I did not think it was compression at all. I wanted to wear some Spanx under it just to smooth things out a little, but there was no way with how high the slit is. As others have mentioned the slit is not for the faint of heart, but since I wore mine with tights, I felt okay about it. I am 5'5'' 122lbs and the size 2 fit perfect.

This dress is really comfortable and easy to wear with any normal undergarments. The material is light weight and yet kind of thick - so lines don't show easily and it's warmer than you would think. It's a great color and I got lots of compliments on it!

Rented this dress for valentines day. Wanted something different than the typical red and pink. Went to a super fancy restaurant so it was perfect for the occasion and lengthwise not too long or too short. The fabric is a little forgiving but overall VERY comfortable and sexy at the same time. Wish I owned it!!!

This dress runs true to size and has a thicker material so it is perfect for fall/winter. The dress has a very comfortable fit in the hips as the material does have some stretch. I wore it with a strapless bra. Also, you could easily make this dress work for a day event with black booties and tights. Definitely a "must rent!"

I loved the color and fit of this dress. I wouldn't usually pick a dress that's fitted throughout, but the thick fabric on this dress was forgiving and comfortable! I would wear it to a party or a night out. Would definitely recommend!

The slit was very high in the back - so luckily I planned to wear tights :) It was very true to size.

When I pulled the dress out, I wasn't crazy about the fabric. My husband called it my super hero dress, it was almost like a soft wetsuit! I tried on the 4 first and it fit, but was very loose around the butt, I put on the 2 and it fit perfectly. The zipper was a little hard to zip, but once it was on, it looked great.

Wore it for an outdoor CA wedding... and it was hot in March. The thick material made me sweat, but no sweat stains through the dress. It was very flattering and hugged in all the right places. Length was just above the knee... so not a short sexy dress if that's what you're going for (at my height). Everyone loved it and so did i!

I rented this dress for my best friend's rehearsal and dinner. This was my second experience renting this particular designer. During the evening, I received compliments from many girls. If you have a little bit of tummy, you will need an undergarment to smooth everything because the dress will show imperfections if you don't.

I ordered the size 2 and 4- they were remarkably similar, although the size 4 had a little more space in the chest area and was maybe 1/2" longer. I ended up wearing the 4 even though the 2 fit me better through the top because of the length. There is a slit in the back and in the 2 I felt like if it rode up at all through the night my butt was going to be shown to the world. The 4 really wasn't much better- I wish the slit wasn't there or maybe just not as high because this is otherwise a very comfortable dress and very flattering. The material is nice and thick and has some stretch.

I didn't end up wearing this dress because it wasn't quite right color-and-style wise (I needed it for a wedding party thing), but it was really gorgeous. The material is definitely different (almost neoprene-y) but flattering, with a vibrant purple color and beautiful lace detailing. It looked brand new and I felt very sexy. The high slit up the back definitely would have made me a little self conscious though (no toe-touches, if you catch my drift). I probably wouldn't rent it again for a wedding, but definitely for a night on the town.

I really loved this dress! I was a little nervous that it would be too form fitting but it looked great. I'm normally a size 10 and both the 10 and the 12 fit fine, but the 12 gave me a little more room in the arms and shoulders so I ended up going with that one. My only complaint is that the slit in the back goes slightly higher than I would have wanted, but as long as I wasn't bending over too much it was fine. I would definitely recommend this dress.

This dress ran small. I could usually wear a size 4 dress and I wore the 6 and it was still tight! The slit in the back is not for the modest or faint of heart. It was much higher than I anticipated. Came to just under my butt cheeks. I wore this for a bachelorette party so it was great for the occasion but I would have been extremely uncomfortable anywhere else. Looked great and had a great time but be cautious when choosing the size and event for this dress!

Loved the color and the fit of this dress with the lace on the bottom and it fit like a glove, true to size. The neoprene fabric was a bit strange, though, and didn't really go with the lace.

This dress worked really well for wearing to a work event. I ordered a 2 and a 4. The 2 would have fit but been tight for a work event. The 4 was great, really comfortable and classy. The dress is thick material too so it was good for the winter. The color is also a really nice purple, just like it looks in the picture.

This dress looks FABULOUS on any body type! It is extremely fitted, but has good stretch, and the fabric is fairly thick, so it hides any unsightly bumps that you'd rather hide. The best part is that if you've got a good amount of junk in your trunk like I do, it makes that area look GREAT. I tend to try to hide that part of my body or make it look as slim as possible, but this dress accentuates it for the better. As soon as I tried it on, my boyfriend was like, "Damn you look hot!" Worth it. The only reason I didn't end up wearing it was because the event didn't end up being a formal event as I had originally thought, so I wore jeans and a tank top instead!

It fit great the material was a little stretchy which was nice. It made it very comfortable to wear

Wore this dress with black strappy heels for my birthday dinner with my husband. I felt so sexy and girly! The black lace detail is even prettier in person.

I am 5'8 and it could be slightly on the short side for someone taller. However I think it was perfect! I would rent this dress and brand again, and the dress is perfect for a day time or evening event.

Both the 8 and 10 fit well, but I wore the 10 to be a bit more comfortable. The slit in the back is definitely a little high, but was totally fine since I wore black tights with the dress.

If you have an hourglass figure this is the dress for you! I got so many compliments plus the look is classy and sexy! A lot of tall girls complained about the slit in the back but I had no problem, the dress was perfection!

This is an amazing dress and very flattering. The fabric is like the scuba material which is very kind to curve. The lace detail adds interest and the black fabric frames the body beautiful.

This is a fairly new dress on RTR and I've already rented it twice. It is one of my RTR favorites. I'm 5'10" with long arms and legs. The dress hits me just like the photo of the model. I wore a 2 and 3/4 inch heel and I think that was just the right height. Any higher and it would have made the dress look a bit more provocative than I wanted. My one gripe is that the slit in the back is extremely high and I didn't realize it until I was on the dance floor the second time I wore the dress. I was uncomfortable, but my husband said it was fine. This dress feels good and stands out in the crowd.

It's a bit snug, but the material is nice and comfortable. I was able to move around freely in the dress and it was a really nice length (not too long and not too short). The lace on the dress is a nice touch. I wore a jacket with the dress, but it really defined my curves.

I really liked this dress, but it definitely runs small. I'm normally a 6, but the 8 (my backup size) was still a little tight! Size up!

I'm between a 4 and a 6 and got a 6. Fit perfectly in the top (I'm a C) and on the bottom but swallowed me in the waist. Not sure if the 4 would have been too tight. Great color, although the fabric up close looks a little cheap. The lace details make it. Also there is a significant slit in the back

I am about 4 months pregnant so not my usual size. I wanted something comfortable and appropriate for synagogue, yet eye-catching. The color is beautiful and the material on the dress is kind of stretchy and soft. It was really comfortable. I would rent this again post-baby in my normal size (2.) I bet it would look great on a slender figure.

I wore this dress for a dinner. I love the color and style, but the dress was a bit short. I am 5'6" and the slit was hitting almost right underneath my butt. I just took care to move slowly, and received many compliments on the style.

Felt very sexy - it fit well & the fabric was thick enough that I could wear regular undergarments. The slit in the back didn't bother me much but I was at an event that didn't have any dancing. It was a bit short when I was sitting down but not super short. All in all, a great dress for a wedding or formal event (I wore it to an awards banquet). Might be too thick & heavy for the summer though!

This dress was selected for me when my original choice proved unavailable. The fit was fantastic, but the cut along the top was odd. I liked the length (just beyond my fingertips when my hands were held at my side) as well as the detail around the skirt. The top, however, was a bit boring and not flattering. The blocky cut along the neck and armline made me feel like a square shape rather than highlighting my hourglass shape. I felt the top was made a bit dull by the lack of detail on most of the dress as well. I felt like a wall of purple with some lace detail at the very bottom. I'm sure playing around with accessories could have helped allay that issue, but I was not enamored with the cut enough to try. That said, it would make a reliable dress for an event where you'd like an edge of style but minimal sex appeal. Customer service was fantastic and overnighted two alternatives to my hotel, one of which I ended up loving and wearing.

I rented this dress as a back-up dress for a rehearsal dinner. I loved the other dress, so didn't end up wearing this one. I rented a 6 and it was a bit small, and I'm typically a 4 or 6. The slit up the back is also quite high, so I probably wouldn't have work this without tights. Definitely no major issues, and I probably could have worn it in a pinch.

This was a nice dress for someone who likes to wear shorter dresses. I tend to wear a size 10 but for some odd reason the size 10 did not ship to my house. So I had to wear the size 8 to my event. It is a thicker material than I thought it would be and it was perfectly fine.

This is a really pretty dress, just not for my body type. It would look good on someone that is more straight than pear.

I really liked the fit of this dress and found it to be very comfortable. The only criticism I have is that the slit in the back of the dress was a little higher than I would have preferred and I found myself being a little nervous all night that it was going to rise up too far.
