I absolutely love this dress! It can be dressed up to be glamorous or a little more edgy as I did. Both the sizes I rented didn't come with a belt, but that was I okay as I planned to wear my belt instead. The other reviews mentioned how the front slit was too high when you sit but I didn't have that problem. I'm guessing it's because I'm only 5'2 and I can see someone taller having that problem. I feel the top part of the dress runs a little small so I went with the 12. The length was also good for shorter girls. I wore 4 inch booties and the dress edge was barely above the ground. I'd definitely rent this dress again!

The dress runs true to size and is very comfortable. I wore 2.5" heels and the length was perfect. The slit is stunning and feminine and does open a lot while sitting but in a sexy josh, not trashy way. The belt doesn't stretch and is very snug, really highlighting the waistline.

The best dress rental I could've asked for... I found out on a Monday that I needed a dress for a professional black tie gala that Friday. RTR was my savior. This dress was a beautiful red/coral color and I got so many compliments on the cut all night. It flares when you walk and was so comfortable. The belt was a little thick, but perfectly complimentary to the dress. I wore it with strap black heels to show off the cut. The slit is mid thigh, but it's very elegant. I wasn't a huge fan of one shoulder cut dresses, but this one was instantly my favorite. Thank you RTR for this last minute rental!

LOVED THE FACT THAT THIS DRESS HAS A BUILT IN BRA ONLY THING THAT WAS NEEDED WAS UNDERWEAR OF YOUR PREFERENCE. VERY COMFORTABLE DIDN'T FEEL THE SPLIT HIGH LIKE EVERYONE MENTIONS FOUND IT TO BE VERY SEXY.

The dress fits absolutely beautiful, definitely a stand out.

Such a pretty dress and I really felt like I looked so much slimmer in it. My only complaint: its impossible to sit down without feeling like you have an inappropriate amount of leg showing! If you are going to a sit down dinner where your legs will be hidden under the table, you will be fine. Also, wearing the bigger size helps with sitting so that you can move the fabric over to cover your legs :) If you are a pear shape or hourglass, you are going to want to get the bigger size because the bottom was a bit snug, which of course made the top a little too big. However, I was able to make the top fit perfectly by simply twisting the one shoulder sleeve! I also recommend using your own belt if you want a super snug fit. The belt that came with it only has one button so you can't adjust to make it tighter. I ended up using my own black belt that I could make tighter.

I rented both the 6R and the 8R and both fit. The 6R felt very tight in the bodice and the 8 was slightly too big but felt much more comfortable. I received so many compliments throughout the night!

I wore this to a black-tie winter wedding. Everyone was in black so I really stuck out in a good way. I got endless compliments. It was flattering and comfortable. The slit does go pretty high but that didn't both me. I also didn't need to wear a bra cause it had a built in corset that made me not need one. I'm 5'7 and with 3" heels I definitely needed the long. I probably could have gone down a size though.

This dress was perfect! I am typically between a size 2 and 4 and chose to wear the 4 for this dress. The dress has a built in bodice that allowed for no bra to be worn. As a warning, the slight is quite high. I had to cover my lap with my napkin when sitting. I really loved wearing this dress and wish I owned it!! I had a tough time deciding which dress to wear- my back up was wonderful as well (Nicole Miller sequin purple tyrian gown). In the end I was happy with my choice because this dress looks sooo classy!!! My boyfriend couldn't stop complimenting me all night :)

This dress is a beauty. I love the red color and the black sash gives just enough detail. The only negative is the length of the dress. I am 5' 2.5" and the regular length dress was VERY long even with 3-4" heals. I was able to pin the dress under the belt for a makeshift alteration and it worked beautifully. I was comfortable all night and received lots of compliments. Would rent again!

This was my first RTR experience and I must say - I am sold. I spoke with one of the stylists who was terrific - guiding me to the dress I ultimately ordered. I also got a 2L - which was too small. I wore the dress to a Black Tie wedding in Philadelphia December 8. In a sea of black dresses, I loved wearing this beautiful, flowing dress - the color is fabulous - almost a coral red. The slit (as others described is a large one) but totally manageable. It has a built in bra - no additional bra is needed. I wore it with black shoes. The 4L belt was a bit large but the 2L belt was too small. Other than that - the dress fit perfectly (I am almost always a 4). I will definitely RTR again - this was so much fun!!

I love this dress! All the women will stare with envy and the guys will just stare! The color is beautiful. They call it red but it is very orange as you see in the picture and boy does it pop! The slit up the side is very sexy - I needed a napkin in my lap when I sat down to hide my spanks from popping out. I felt like a movie star in this. So much so that I wasn't satisfied to just wear it once! I wore it to a wedding and then rented again for a graduation party. Honestly, if there were another event with a different set of friends there I would rent it again. I could see how this would be small in the bust for some girls as I am not well endowed and it fit snugly. At the waist, an 8 was perfect. If you are unsure I recommend ordering what you think plus a size up as according to measurements for this designer I should have been a 6 - luckily I ordered an 8 as well and it fit perfectly. I am 5'6, right at the length cut off, so I always worry about what length to order. With this, I wore 4 inch heals and the long was perfect. I wasn't stepping on the dress and yet it still came nearly to the ground. Be prepared with a little fashion tape as some of the black flowers on the belts tend to droop but is easily fixed by securing into place.

This dress fit perfectly and I felt confident and comfortable all night long. The dress is not a fire engine red which I appreciated because it stood out without looking over the top. I wore 3 inch heels, although 4 inches would have worked well too. This is an incredibly flattering dress!!

This dress was perfect for me!!! I'm a curvy girl and there's nothing I hate more than a dress that accentuates the wrong curves. This dress was AMAZING! The black belt accentuated my smaller waist while the slit in the front was sexy ( yet still classy) and made my curvy hips look flawless!! I'm tall 5'10. This dress was just long enough to cover my shoes ( 3 inch black strap heels) but not so long it dragged the floor. The black belt gives all the detail you need so all the jewelry I wore was gold bangles and some red earrings. The slit does go all the way up. So you definitely need a slip. I wore black spanx slip and even when it did show it just looked like part of the dress. You definitely need a good push up corset bra. The built in bra does nothing and if you don't have the lift up top the belt and your chest become one. Not a good look. I looooovvvedd this dress. I could probably have fit the 6L also but I ordered the 8 L and it was great.

This dress was amazing! The color is to die for & I felt so glamorous! I'd say this dress runs true to size. I wore the 6R & it was perfect. I'm 5'5" & wore 4in heels & the length was perfect. I got a ton of compliments on the dress & I just really felt like a million bucks. But beware, as others have mentioned, the slit is *very* high when you sit down! Just use your purse or a napkin to cover up ;)

It fit a little bigger at the top but after a while i fixed to make it fit perfect. I got soooooo many compliments on it. Even my principle loved it!! It overall was an awesome choice and I most definetly will use RTR again :)

Loved this dress!!! I wish I could rent again for an upcoming wedding.I rented it for a Gala and it was a hit! The color is less red and more coral than the pictures show. The tulip skirt made it easy to sit and dance. I wore a 3.5 inch heel and the dress barely touched the floor. The belt cinched my waist without making me feel that I was in wearing a corset. As a backup size I ordered the 2R and it fit pretty good, but the belt was too big and the dress was a little too long.

I rented this dress because most formal events are usually a sea of black. I thought it was time to spread my wings and I'm so glad I did. I received so many compliments and felt amazing. The length was great and I also like the fact that the cut of the dress allows for the use of any strapless bra. The built in shelf bra also adds to the coverage. Thanks again RTR!

Oh my gosh I felt like old Hollywood glamour and my date could not keep his hands of off me all night long! I normally wear very classy styles with a bit of modern twist/sexy and this dress was the perfect compliment. Everyone stopped me to compliment my dress which made me feel amazing!! Major tips: I'm 5'3" and was wearing platform heels that were already 5 inches high and my dress still kind of drug on the ground. Def got in the way of dancing had to hold my dress up. The slit is pretty dang high so be careful in all sitting (it was also windy when I wore it...glad I wore spanx!). Go a size up I normally wear 4's but the side zip wouldn't move/I couldn't breathe in the 4R. The 6R was a glove and made my chest look larger than it already is. Light and airy which was perfect for an AZ 85 degree sorority formal. Rent this dress, you will feel auh-mazing and stunning.

The dress turned heads and received so many compliments. I felt like a walking advertisement for RTR when people asked about the dress. This was worn to a black-tie wedding reception. I agree, the dress is snug along the side - highly recommend getting a second person to zip you in if possible. I did not have an issue with the bust. The slit in front is quite high, so it flows beautifully when walking and shows a great deal of leg (up to a little above the knee). The only problematic thing was sitting down. You definitely need to cover your legs since the front slit does not close. I simply used the tablecloth or napkin to cover my legs at the table, and a jacket over my lap while in a NYC cab. Definitely need 3-4 inch heels. I wore 4-inch heels and the dress skimmed the floor ever so lightly, but once you're walking, the dress just flows behind you and does not drag. The dress arrived wrinkled in shipping, but wrinkles came out quickly with steam from a bathroom shower. Loved the dress! My full-length photos did not come out doing the dress justice - hopefully I will find some good ones to post later.

The skirt on the inside of this dress was much tighter than I thought. I had to choose the larger size to be able to sit down. Otherwise, the fit up top and overall was great. The attached bra was not the best and actually made the material gather in a weird way. But I got nothing but complements. Felt good.

Loved this dress but it was very tight around the hips and the liner was very fragile. Even the slightest movement, despite trying to keep my legs clamped together, caused the seams to rip or the fabric to tear. I ended up changing after the ceremony into my other back-up dress. If it wasn't for that fragility of the liner, I would've given this dress 5 stars. The dress was just form fitting enough and I loved the one-shoulder strap. The belts that came with the two sizes of this dress that I got were not the same so it seems like it might be a toss-up as to whether the belt you get is one you like and one that works well with the dress. The one I ended up going with had a bow with really long tail ends that I ended up wrapping around and pinning.

This dress was so fun to wear. I received compliments and was comfortable all night long. It runs true to size.

I wore this dress for my boyfriend's military ball. The dress was beautiful and was surprisingly comfortable to wear all night. I didn't like the black belt it came with so I swapped it out with a thin gold belt I have and I wore goldish tan heels which I think looked a lot less harsh than the black. The reason I only gave it 4 stars was because I usually wear a size 4 and I even got a back up dress in a 4 and it fit beautifully however this dress I could barely zip up the 6 over my chest (i'm a 34B!). The only other issue I had was the length was a little short. I got the long and I wore my shortest heels but the dress still didn't quite hit the ground. When I walked, the front slit opened up quite a bit and showed a lot of leg which I liked however make sure you are careful when you sit down because the slit goes really high!

Definitely ran small but not in the bust as I was expecting. The short skirt piece (under the longer flowing part) had absolutely no give and rode up quite a bit while walking, dancing and sitting. One piece of strategically placed fashion tape kept the slit closed and prevented any indecent exposures. 3.5-4 inch heels and the dress skimmed the floor. Overall the look was perfect for a ruby anniversary-themed gala.

This dress made me feel so glamorous! I wore it to a black tie optional wedding and the color definitely stood out, but as the night went on I felt more comfortable. Tons of compliments! The 4R was a tight fit (28.5 waist), so make sure you get measured and talk with a wonderful stylist before ordering. I'm around 5'3 and wore 3'' heals and the dress hit the floor perfectly. I purchased a similar, but different belt from Francesca. The belt that came with the dress just had one big flower and was very tight. The dress showed up just in time (even with a terrible snow storm hitting) and the dress was easy to fly with and SO easy to return. Thanks RTR for a wonderful experience from start to finish!

This was my first rtr dress. Silk was beautiful and color was lovely. I am very small busted and it has a built in padded bra which is great. I still didn't fill it out but you couldn't really tell b/c of the shirred fabric up top. Loved the belt. Very sexy slit in front but tricky to sit down in. I am usually a 2 but I could not get the 2 over my head. Sexy but appropriate for nearly 40 year old.

The dress was true to size except for the length, I had to wear short heels to make it work. Other than that, it was comfortable and exquisite! Many compliments. Best $100 dress I have ever worn. RTR has yet to disappoint.

Bright color! Dress does run very small though, better for pear shapes. The top the dress was too form fitting for my bust, could have potentially even gone up to the 6R for my top but would have needed 2R for bottom. Belt also can be form fitting! Great for someone who wants to define their waist and needs a dress for a formal. Loved the dress, wish it looked better on me!

I ordered the 0R and the 2R because I wasn't sure about the fit. The 0 fit really well on the bottom half and the length was perfect with about 3" heels. The top was very snug. The 2 fit better on top but was too large on the bottom. This was my first time renting, and I was super impressed with the whole process. The only thing I was unhappy with was that neither of the two dresses came with a belt! I really like the belt on the dress in the photo, so I was disappointed it didn't come with the dress (I don't know if that is normal or an oversight - I couldn't find anything on the site that said the belt was NOT included). Since I rented the dress at the last minute, I ended up dragging my kids around the mall searching for a belt, and I had to spend an extra $50 for something nice enough to go with the dress. Overall, though, I was very happy and I got many compliments.

This dress was perfect. The dress didn't drag the floor, it fit me just the way it was supposed to, and it was wonderful! Though if I had worn shorter shoes the dress would have been too long, so I definitely recommend at least 3-inch heels (depending on how tall you are). I'm about 5'4" and wore 4-inch heels.

The fit was perfect. The dress was so flattering! It was a little hard to zip and the belt did not stay on well but those were the only issues with the dress.

Just be careful with the slit but asides from that absolutely perfect for the occasion.

I did have to do a tiny pin under the arm because the fabric was loose but wasn't a big deal. I liked how it opened a little in the front when I walked. It does open quite a bit when you sit though. I felt great in it! I realized after I sent the dress back I didn't take a pic in it.

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to wear it because I let my bf pick his favorite (since it was his friend's wedding). However, I loved this dress. It looks great on and tall girls can still wear heels with it!

This dress definitely stood out in a sea of black! I wore the 10, but could probably of breathed much easier in the 12 - it was a bit tight in the chest for my 36c. The regular length was perfect with 3-4 inch heels.

This was my first rental from RTR, and I had a great experience. The dress felt fantastic on and I received several compliments. The color of this dress ended up being beautiful...so much better than in the picture. I wore this to a black tie wedding and it was comfortable, classy and I would absolutely recommend renting it. With each compliment, I had to tell everyone where I got it :)
