The dress is narrow through the skirt.

Fits small-especially if you have hips. The lower portion of the dress is small, but the upper section is looser. Would recommend backup size at least one size up (I usually wear a 6).

I'm 5'7..I rented this dress in a size 8 and 10. I had to go with the 10. I felt this dress ran tight in the hip and thigh area. I would definitely recommend going up a size for your backup. It was definitely a fun dress to wear and I received many compliments. My only other advice is that you need fashion tape. I would definitely recommend this dress.

Beautiful dress, great cut and color. Wore it to a wedding and received many compliments!! Very fitted in the hips and thighs...perhaps order your size and then the next size up just in case.

This dress runs rather small, I had to wear the 6, and I am normally a 4. The 6 was even a bit snug. I would suggest going up a size for your pick, and even up one more size for the back up.

Wore a size 6 only because I couldn't zip up the back b/c I have a wider build. It is fitted, especially in the thighs, but it's appropriate in the waist. I had to use fashion tape on right chest because I was nervous about being exposed since the right chest just sits up right (note: I also can't fill it out b/c I'm a 34B).

Really like how it didn't wrinkle and traveled well.

This dress was a perfect dress to stand out in a sea of black dresses. It is a forest green. it's kind of a heavy material, I wouldn't wear it in the summer or to a casual event. It is definitely very fitted in the hips/bum/midsection. If you have big hips, this will not work for you. I have no hips and I had a moment of panic when i tried on the size 6, luckily the 8 fit. The top is definitely geared towards people with bigger boobs, and requires tape. It did stay put all night though with some careful taping. in sum- no hips, large bust for this dress. I received lots of compliments and it was a sexy yet tasteful dress.

I am only 4' 11" so the shoulder strap was too long for me to wear this dress to semi-formal. It is a really beautiful dress though.

Very cute dress, but the hem is stitched very tight with no stretch and makes it difficult to walk and dance.

Lots of compliments on this dress, however im kinda obsessed with the fit of a dress being perfect and this one was a bit difficult to work with. For some reason the chest area is really loose - which is never an issue for me- but its tight through the hips so i would def size up for the hip area. Overall i was happy and glad i wore it!

Beautiful dress! Wore it to a wedding, and even received a compliment from the bride. I wore this dress without a bra, I just used double sided tape to hold down both the strapless side and the mid area of the other side. It was a little on the short side, but it looked cute. If you have a butt and/or hips, you should probably size up.

Fabulous dress, fit well and was great for dancing. I have a larger bust so ended up pinning a satin ribbon from the strapless side around my neck to the one-shoulder seam so I didn't accidentally flash anyone. Many people commented that it looked like it was designed that way.

I loved this dress except even in the larger size it is tighter than I would have liked. Everyone had wonderful things to say about it. Needed tape to keep the top in place. Will be renting from RTR again in a month. This is a great option when your closet is full of only worn once gowns.

I loved this dress! I am pretty petite but I have a DD bust and surprisingly this dress was slightly large in the chest area. I got lots of comments on it at a Fall wedding and highly recommend :)

Beautiful color and a lovely dress. The bust runs a little big I am a size zero with a DD cup bust and it was a little roomy in the bust :) but otherwise it fit really well. Not for girls with a larger hip as it runs a little small thru the hips but it fit well for me because I have a small hip. Was my second choice dress the first I ordered was too big RTR's customer service was SUPERB!

I loved this dress!! Wore it for my birthday and everybody else loved it as well. However, the skirt part was just a little too tight!! Still a great dress!

As other reviewers have mentioned, this dress runs extremely small. I am usually a size 4, so i rented a 4 and a 6. I could barely get the 4 over my hips/thighs, however it fit fine at the top. I then tried the 6, and I could get it on just fine, and the top would have probably been fine with some bodice tape since it was just a tad big. However when I tried to sit, it was a no go - i could sit, but it was uncomfortable and the pleats all expanded to look absurd... the fabric has absolutely no stretch/give. Beautiful dress, color and fabric, however it would appear that you need to be stick thin to wear it :-/ Thankfully I also rented a backup dress so I was good to go!

I wore this dress to a friend's wedding. The fit is unusual (runs small in the legs/hips and large in the chest) which made it less-than-ideal for me–I've got a small chest and a round butt. But I pulled off the eight and received lots of compliments. Probably best for people with the opposite proportions.

Too small in the bust! It was a beautiful dress but ended up not wearing it as it didn't fit my bust.

Not a bad dress, but was my back-up and I didn't wear it. Dress comes in at the bottom hem, and was a bit tricky to fit over my hips, while bust was a bit roomy. Best for busty but otherwise slim renters - and definitely not for pear shapes. A somewhat flat green color too.

No give AT ALL. I got the zipper up, but I wouldn't have been able to sit down, lol.

I have to admit that the dress runs a little small, but it was a beautiful dress. Its a little tight around the waist, not a lot of stretch.

I loved the color of this dress but sadly it was just too big overall. I did not end up wearing it to the wedding I was going to. If you are a little curvy with a bit of a chest then this dress will probably be very flattering on you.

This was the only dress out of 7 I have ordered in the past 2 orders (never again I've learned my lesson) that came in respectable condition. The dress like most on the site does not give the best idea of how it actually is in person. No strapless bra works under this. There is a space between both sides and my breasts would have been an univited guest on the dance floor if I wore it to the wedding. I think if I had fake breasts it would have worked. But then again if I could afford fake breasts I probably wouldn't need this site in the first place.

This was my second dress in the order. It is darker in real life, then in the picture. This was the main reason why I didn't wear it. I found the dress to be unflattering on me. I give it up to the fact that I am curvy. The bottom part does fit well, but the bust was too large.

Love the dress and material but didn't get to try it on as I am a true hourglass shape and my hips & butt simply couldn't fit. Had to send it back and luckily got an different emergency dress shipped. There is no give or room and if you have any fullness to your butt at all or truly hourglass/curvy hips... you will NOT fit into this dress.
