I wore this dress for my boyfriend's winter formal at his fraternity. It was so comfortable, and the purple-gray was such a unique color. I rented a 4 and a 2 as my back up size, and I probably could have worn the 2, but the 4 was just a tad looser and more comfortable around the waist. The length was nice, hitting just above the knee on my 5'3 frame. I got compliments all night! I almost didn't want to send it back!

I had a fashion week event that I was working and rented this dress for the night. It was really comfortable, though it was a bit snug so I was very grateful for the extra 10 when I had thought the 8 would be OK. Beautiful dress; though.

I ordered a 0 and 2 for a family member's evening wedding reception (just a reception, no ceremony) and wore the 0 with black tights. It fit well and showed off my curves but was longer on me than on the model, as most dresses are on me--it went to just above my knees. It was mostly family, though, so I felt more appropriately dressed. And, it kept me warm(er).

I LOVED this dress that I wore to a Christmas cocktail party. I felt like it was the perfect choice. The velvet made it wintery and the fit made me feel sexy without showing too much. The folds of the fabric are not just beautiful, but they are flattering enough that I could feel comfortable eating and drinking without worry. The joy of this dress is all in the details. The leather trim, the color and shine of the fabric. I'd love to own this dress its so lovely.

I usually wear a 4 and the 4 fit well with a little extra room in the waist. Comfortable fit with the way material drapes around waist. If you have a muscular back or larger busts you may have to size up, but the straps are adjustable. A little longer than I expected, but still looked flattering (I'm 5'7" and it was just above my knees). Color is more of a deep purple - almost looks black under low lighting. The material and style is perfect for a formal affair.

I usually fall between sizes and wore the smaller of the 2 in this dress. They purple is very dark and muted, almost charcoal colored in dim light. I wore to a black tie holiday party and it was perfect - Simple, flattering, and very classy.

I usually run somewhere between and 2 and a 4 and went with the 2 in this case because, like the other reviews, it just hugged my body better. Very flattering shape and elegant texture. I could have gone with a little more sass and shorter hemline though! Perfect for a Christmas party, which I wore it to.

I ordered the 2 and the 4 since I can be inbetween sizes depending on the fit. Since I'm smaller in the "rear" and hip area I chose the 2. I could have easily worn and 4 and it would have been fine but the 2 just hugged my body a little better wear as most things don't in the back! The purple is the same as in the photo - almost black. It was a modern day scarlett o'hara dress in the sense that it made me feel like I'd just had it made out of curtains. Wore it to a rehearsal dinner. Was sexy but appropriate due to the length. Cute little dress.

The dress looked very flattering on the model and pictures from other renters. However, the ruching near the hip was strangely placed and made me look lumpy. In addition, it was not flattering to a smaller bust. I wouldn't recommend it to an "athletic" or "straight and narrow" body type.
