It was a great fit and I got compliments all night.

5'4" 114# curvy/athletic. The small fit beautifully, hitting just a few inches above my knees. The picture almost doesn't do this dress justice. It is just so beautiful on. I got compliments all night - even from strangers. The fabric is a little scratchy around the arm holes.

Gorgeous dress, especially in evening lighting. Just the right amount of shine, not too loud. The bronzey tones of the dress make it different from the silvers and golds you see so much of now.

Ran a *little* small, mostly in the bust and hips, but overall I wasn't surprised to need the 12 anyway, because it doesn't have any stretch to it. The sequins are a bit scratchy. You'll definitely need really good smoothing undergarments if you have any kind of pooch anywhere, because the glisten of the sequins accentuates anything that sticks out! It was a cute dress and I enjoyed it, but I was ready to take it off by the end of the night.

I rented this for NYE and it was the absolute perfect dress for the occasion. The sequins have a tarnished look to them which makes the dress a little darker than how it looks in the pictures. I have a pretty small build with no curves so a size 0 fit well but even with my straight and narrow body type the dress fit snugly around the hips.

This dress did "fit" me, but it was not super flattering. Consistent with other reviews, it is very tight in the hips (and I don't have large hips). However, it is kind of baggy in the stomach area. The combination of the tigher fit at the bottom with the looser fit in the middle was not very flattering. I ended up pairing this with a cool short black LAMB jacket that I have with gold zippers and that did the trick. Otherwise, it would not have looked great. It's a really cute dress, just oddly proportioned. I did use the larger size due to how tight it was at the bottom.

The dress fit perfect. I find that formal or cocktail wear I take a 10 instead of my usual 8. Also my first dress got held up in a snow storm and didn't make it before I left on my trip but a second one was shipped to the hotel with no problems. Love Rent the Runway

I wore this dress for my bachelorette party, and love it! It is fun, but not too short or revealing. The sequins are fun and easy to wear! I loved the color. The dress was a little tight in the hip area so I ended up going with the bigger of the two sizes that I ordered.

I was so excited to wear this dress but unfortunately I couldn't get it past my 40 in hips! I ordered a size 12 and it slid down perfectly over my bust (36D), arms and stomach, but won't budge past that. Would be a great dress for less hippy girls. Great color and style!

Sparkly but not too short - which was great! A nice sophisticated look for a friend's birthday party.

Honestly, wasn't the biggest fan. The tank style dress wasn't super flattering and the sequins rubbed underneath my arm pits.

The gold is definitely darker than it looks in this photo (more of a bronze) and the dress runs small. I know I have a big booty and some hips but even after ordering a size up it still wouldn't go down over them.

Gorgeous dress... got lots of compliments, but could barely get the 6 over my hips (38"), and then the chest was waaaay too big for me (32A). It is a true "contemporary" size. The waist shape is also on the low side, so if you have a longer torso, it might look better. I wore this with a black boyfriend blazer and black patent heels, which was able to hide the fact that the bust didn't fit.

The dress is gorgeous, but runs TINY. I am pretty true to size 6, and could barely get the size 8 over my bust.

I think this dress looks better online than in person! I still enjoyed wearing it, but the color is much duller in real life, and the sequins go in different directions than it looks like in the picture. I also didn't love the fit - the bagginess in the middle made me look flatter than I am! I recommend this dress for people who are super skinny like the model in the picture. It's not good for girls with large breasts or large back muscles (like me) because it flattens you. The sequins also scratched me around the armpits a bit and gave me a rash. On the up-side, this dress photographs really well and was fun to wear - who can say they wore a dress of all sequins, right? If you have the right body type for it (which I think is a very narrow segment of the population) it will rock.

cool looking dress but has no give, is a little tricky to get on and sequins are scratchy. color is definitely more of a bronze than flashy gold so if you want gold, this won't be right color. i'd typically wear a 2 or 4 depending on brand and the 4 works, but a 6 would've been better. if i had a little more curve in the hip area, there's no way i could have worn it. so i'd say definitely better for straighter body types.

The dress isn't too tight or short, which was nice, and it's true to size. I'm usually a size 4 or 6, but the 4 was too small. I have a couple of complaints: 1) The dress isn't as shiny as it looks in the picture. It's more of a darker bronze than gold. Not quite as flashy and in your face as it looks online. 2) The sequins are kind of pokey. Overall, the dress is comfortable in the sense that it's not too tight, but the sequins kind of poke you in the neckline. I wore this for a Halloween costume and it was a fun party dress and cute. I paired it with a skinny belt to give myself more a waistline. However, it wasn't as shiny as I was expecting (I wanted something super flashy) and just be aware that sequins might poke you.

The dress was not very form fitting- I felt as it the dress sort of just hung on me. Also, I am quite fair, the color of this dress would likely be more flattering on someone with a darker skin tone.

I usually wear a size four or six, but could barely even fit into the size 6! The material was super scratchy and the I couldn't move my legs once in the dress. Pity because the dress is beautiful!

This dress fit my body strangely.

Pretty dress, but small in the hips even for someone who is not very hippy. Ordering up a size will mean that the dress will bag in the stomach area. Not a good fit.

Expensive looking, but impossible to fit over my hips. I am petite, little bit curvy. I couldn't get the six on, and I normally wear a 4 (at Banana, JCrew). It's just a weird dress.

This dress runs SO small. I am a 2 in everything - and sometimes a 0. This was my backup dress, and I only got a 2. I couldn't even get it over my hips! Cute dress, but runs so small!
