This dress is made of a heavy-ish gold brocade that matched a Catholic priest carrying out a baptism. lol! I loved this dress. It’s formal but you can also dress it down with sneakers. It’s not the best for the height of summer but it would be great any other time of year.

This dress was a risk for me because I'm petite and it's A LOT of material. I ended up wearing it for a sorority almunae event and then for our Fall family photos. I love it. It's a great length if you're petite and very comfortable. The color is bold and the material is thick. It has pockets too. The elastic around the arms is a little tight and I don't consider my arms big so there's that. My husband had to tie it tight in back so the shoulders wouldn't droop. Otherwise it was a home run.

I really enjoyed this dress. The fit is definitely large everywhere but the bust. If you are small chested, like myself, you will have plenty of room and can probably size down. It is not as formal as I expected and can be worn everyday.

Gorgeous fabric but as others have said, you need to be flat chested otherwise the hem on the bustline is just too high up and you’ll have to go braless.

I rented this for a photo shoot that didn’t end up happening but I love it. It’s incredibly unique. Fit is oversized but with the right styling, it’s lovely! Would rent again for a fun occasion.

1700s curtain dress vibe in the best way. Point is the silhouette and how much you can afford to eat while wearing this dress. Brought the sunshine to all winter events.

I loved the overall cut and look of this dress, but it was definitely more gold (rather than yellow) than I had expected, which I didn’t prefer. Very comfortable for wearing around despite the fancy/heavy fabric.

I wore this dress for Christmas family/maternity pics. I usually run between a M/L pre-pregnancy and wore this at 32-33 weeks pregnant. I do have a wider upper body build but otherwise not super curvy and mostly belly this pregnancy. You’ll have plenty of room for your bump in this dress, however I found the bust/shoulder and empire waist line to fit pretty snug (on both the M and L sizes). Ended up squeezing into the M because the L was just too much fabric. Otherwise the dress was very comfortable and perfect for the occasion!

Think big, thick, quilt-like fabric. I think it photographs well, but felt like too much in person. Pockets were a plus.

I loved this material and look etc but it just made me look massive - as one friend put it “like a Christmas tree topper” which sadly I agree with. I think you probably need to be a C cup or smaller to make this work unfortunately.

Wears less formal than it looks because the fabric is a bit stretchy and it has pockets. Very cute for a fall wedding. Would rent again!

I wore this for two December dinners in NYC and was stopped by random people who wanted to tell me they loved my dress and that is literally what I look for in clothing so mission accomplished. The fabric is luxurious and thick, it’s very comfy, and I bet it looks great on everyone. Don’t be surprised if people think you’re pregnant though. I do have a bit of a belly from having a baby 9 months ago and the cut of this dress is such that it would be great for a bump. My bestie said (I promise, in a very loving way) that she thinks the dress is the reason that our server warned me and only me that the scallops were raw- she thinks it made me look pregnant. I’m cool with that ◡̈.

I felt great in this. It’s a statement dress so you need the right occasion but it’s a winner.

I was excited to wear this dress to a wedding, but the Medium was way too tight in the bust with zero stretch and the large had too much fabric and looked like a tent. This was my first experience with RTR and I was disappointed. I read all reviews, viewed customer photos and took measurements and this dress was just horrible on me.

Comfortable but really unflattering....I looked like I weighed 10 lbs more with this giant dress on me.

Obsessed with the dress just got a size too big. It’s stunning!

This dress is supposed to be big, but even as a 6ft tall size 10/12 it was huge. maybe i'd wear it a size down but definitely big not oversized in a good way at this size

What did I just receive? A modernism week vintage sofa. Ugh. Didn’t wear. Was not cute or stylish.
