This dress was beautiful and a great fabric! It was certainly tight on the hips however, and slightly bigger on top - may be best for people with smaller hips and a bigger chest. I would have sized up to the 8 but it was not available so I made do.

This dress was very flattering for my curvy and short body. However the fabric had no stretch at all so I had to size up.

I wore this dress to a gala and It fit the vibe perfectly. one thing to note - this dress has absolutely no give and is tighter around the hips/stomach so I would recommend sizing up.

Wore it for a non profit gala and it was perfect. I’m a size 10 to 12 and ordered a size 14 which I thought would be roomy. It just fit initially and I was worried about easy breathing throughout the night though it ended up being perfect. Would definitely recommend sizing up on this dress. I have wide shoulders and hips with not much curve and a small belly. This dress made me feel like I looked great.

This dress is absolutely stunning. It is very formfitting really show your curves but the velvet smooths everything out. I wore with a corset instead of having the plunging neckline.

I got so many Compliments! As a girl with a large butt and thighs, I was concerned this would be too tight, but it couldn’t have fit better!

This crushed velvet dress felt like a nightgown and required zero spanx or control top. I danced all night at a friend’s wedding! And am buying it!

Wore this dress for a NYE wedding and I loved it!! Its a very flattering silhouette and I got many compliments on it, I especially loved the sleeves on it. However, like most of the other reviews I 100% recommend sizing up. I am normally an 8, but when I put that size on it was tight and had little give because of the material. But when I tried the 10 it fit perfect and I was able to sit down and dance without feeling confined.

Stunning dress for weddings/holiday parties etc. The cut is incredibly flattering and sleeves are super comfortable. Runs a bit small so definitely recommend sizing up!

Absolutely loved this dress. It's DEFINITELY for small chests only, though, due to the plunging neckline. I loved the sleeves, the length, and the fit. I normally wear a 4 but the 6 fit perfectly.

Felt soooo chic in this velvet dress. Sized up to an 8 because my size was taken but loved not being squeezed in. The neck line dips a little low, but with the length of the dress it felt appropriate. Such a beautiful dress for a winter wedding or event!!

This dress has great lines and is so comfortable. The deep v is so flattering and the velvet is of course soft and softens the black in a really feminine way. I personally taped down the v because I had gap because I'm extremely small chested, but that's never a big deal for me. Fit TTS and created a waist for my super straight frame. Loved it.

I forgot my dress tape to keep the dress flat on my chest, so I used a little pin up front to close it and a pin to bring it in about an inch around my neck. Easy fix and it helped everything stay in place. I’m 5’5” and apx. 190 and the 14 was perfect.

I love the feel and cut of this dress. As someone who Carries weight in their mid section I thought this was very flattering! My only issue was how low cut it is. No bra or pin could tame it. It feels like it's made for bigger boobs as it's big at the top and shoulders but it was a little too flashy for me. If you're someone who prefers not to be exposed and has big boobs then you might be uncomfortable.

Loved the velvet! The lining had no stretch so it was a struggle without shape wear. It’s low cut so be prepared. Once shape wear was put on, I got so many compliments! If you carry your weight around your middle/hips/butt, size up.

Wore to a gala. It was pretty loose in the chest but tight around the tummy (although hugged me enough to the point where it was actually very flattering). I used boob tape for the chest issue and it was fine.

If you got junk in the trunk like I do, get a size up! I couldn't even pull the size 8 over my hips, so I'm glad I got the 10 as a backup. The 10 was still very snug. But, it's a curvy designed dress. So it was very flattering. I did have to top stick the top part so I wouldn't flash anyone. It was comfortable once it was in the right place, but took a bit of tugging and pulling every time I got up from a seated position. Overall though, I liked it a lot.

I loved this dress but was a bit surprised when I got them in to try on, they were extremely tight. I usually wear a 4, the 6 took some work to close up. I do have a wider rib cage so that was definitely tight- but the dress was so beautiful and so different ! The black velvet look was perfect for a winter wedding in Michigan!

This was a great dress for a winter wedding. Classic silhouette with fun sleeve detail. Neckline is a bit low if you prefer a modest cut. I used double side tape to prevent mishaps. It did fit a tiny bit snug around the waist and hip area when sitting as the velvet has no give.

Wore this to a gala and it was great. I loved that I could wear my strapless low bra. Just be careful about twisting around--even with tape my bra was super visible after I twisted in my seat. You do have to keep checking on your top area...

Wore to the Moulin Rouge on a particularly chilly night - was pretty warm while still being cute! Felt like they were a bit tight in the hips but overall fit well.

I loved this dress equally as much as the dress I chose to wear. It was hard to decide! What I loved was the fabric and how it draped. The tailoring at the waist is also flattering, although made me have to size up in order to fit into the dress. If you’re very hippy or bootylicious, it might not be a good option or size up. The neckline is also low, but not enough for me to avoid wearing it. I just didn’t have the right bra!

Fit my normal size exactly. I used some double-sided tape to hold the dress down as it is very exposing, but honestly don't think I even needed it. It fit well and looked great.

Excellent quality dress. Thin but quality thin if that makes sense. Not “fast fashion thin.” Lined. It is small in the rib cage so this is a “skinny day” dress. Too much cleavage for work. Definitely a “skinny day” cleavage dress too now that I think of it. This is not a dress for large chested women; you’d never zip it up. Perfect for my 1920s costume party. Would be great for a winter event where cleavage is okay.

It photographs really nicely in the reviews, ordered for an early fall wedding and was just a little early in the year. Beautiful but I would wait for winter. Didn't wear, ended up being more dressy in person. Will wait for another occasion. Listened to the reviews and sized up to a 12 and it fit great.

This was a great dress, especially for a winter/early spring wedding with snow on the ground. The neckline is really low, but I liked how that contrasted with the extra coverage from the length of the dress and the sleeves. I was worried this dress would be to frumpy/conservative, but it was not. As other reviewers noted, I found that this dress ran small especially in the hips and has absolutely no give or stretch. I was very glad I ordered the back-up size, which I ended up wearing. Unless you are very slim in your hips, I recommend ordering a size up or at least making sure you order a larger back-up size.

Really liked this, ended up wearing a different dress that I ordered but it was flattering and comfortable to try on. I wish it wasn't quite as low of a deep V, but I don't think it would have been an issue since the dress is structured enough to not have any slip ups.

I’m usually a 4, but read the reviews that the dress ran small so I also ordered the 6. The 4 fit but when sitting down it would have been tight, so I opted for the 6. It is low cut, and I have a small bust, so I did wear double sided tape and that worked perfectly to prevent any gaping/nip slip. Would rent again, very cute dress.

I usually wear a 4 or 6, I ordered a size up to an 8 after reading the reviews, and I wish I would have gone two sizes up. The dress zipped up but was uncomfortably snug in the waist and hips... there was no way I could have worn it comfortably all evening, especially seated. I was so sad because it was just beautiful. Traditional velvet material with no give.

This dress was beautiful! I highly recommend, but I am so glad I ordered my normal size 4, and a 6 just in case. The 4 wouldn’t even zip! Glad I read the reviews. Because of the material, there is not much give at all.
