Rented this for work but ended up having to also wear it to a funeral. It was conservative enough for a funeral and still polished enough for work. Fit me well in the shoulders/ bust but was large in the waist/ hips. Beautiful piece and love the scalloped, leather detailing.

The fit on this is a little weird—it fit perfectly on top but is a little loose on the bottom. I paired it with a belt to try to fix that. The detailing on this dress is gorgeous and even my husband noticed it was special! Great LBD!

could've sized down. the dress was so big on me it barely even grazed my skin. cute for work. maybe would've been cute belted/cinched at the waist

I wore this to work and would wear it again more socially. Loved it! I sized up to fit my chest so the waist was a little loose, but it was otherwise a great fit.

The dress is a thick ponte-like material with a mandarin collar and non usable buttons down the bodice. The scalloped edges are trimmed with a shiny latex coating. When I removed the dress from the bag I actually thought there were sequins on the edges because it's so shiny. I would've sized down had I known what my actual size would be. It's a beautiful dress in person and super comfortable.

This dress was a little outside my normal comfort zone but loved the fit and super cute on!

This is the most comfortable dress I've ever worn for an event (wore to my sisters graduation.) It does have a strong shoulder design as mentioned in other reviews, but it's not unflattering in any way. I wore a coat over it but a light sweater probably wouldn't fit. I am 5'3 and it hit me just above the knee. Other reviews said that it didn't have much of a waist, but it does have a gathered waist and that was enough for me. I wish I could add this dress to my permanent wardrobe!

Gorgeous, well-made Valentino dress. The sleeves and bottom scalloping have almost a reflective fabric. Cut was roomy, but still flattering

Not that you can tell by the look on my face in the pic (pinball is serious business you know), but this dress was a joy to wear. It's structured but comfortable, and the shine on the scalloped hems gives it a little spunk while still being classic. It runs larger than the brand's other dresses I've rented, which I think run small. I rented a 40 because it was available, and while a 38 would've probably fit better, the 40 was in no way too large to wear. It would probably have found a permanent home in my closet if I could've brought myself to spend an indecent amount on one adorable LBD.

Much more unique than your typical LBD! I should've sized down 1 size if it would've been available. Big across the waist and hips but still looked cute with a belt. Got lots of compliments and I liked the shiny detail on the sleeves and bottom better than I thought I would. Definitely a thicker material probably best for spring or early fall than the heat of summer.

They were out of size 38 so I had to get size 40 which ran a little long March but not to wear the dress looked bad on me at all. I heard complement and I felt very pretty

This dress fit large, which was slightly disappointing because I SO wanted to love it. Really cute collar and button details, puffed sleeves, and scalloped/trimmed hems at the ends of the sleeves and the bottom. Size DOWN!

I loved wearing this. It was comfortable (hello, pockets) and the cut and details make this a very special LBD. I'm normally a 2, so I did size down to the 38 and it was good. It's meant to be a looser fit, but that just means you can actually eat dinner, right?

Didn't end up wearing because it was too big, but great quality and unique details. Going to re-order but a smaller size.

This dress is a perfect work dress upgrade -- it runs a little big so I wish I sized down so it fit a little better. Overall, the dress was beautiful and is a more stylish take on a basic black work dress.

It was well structured, quality fabric, and had enough of a unique feel without feeling over the top (I am NOT a fan of thin fabric nor do I think it ever looks flattering on me). Fun and classy.

I rented this for work but the event was more "business casual" and it just felt too formal and hot for 98 degree weather. 38 was a bit big but if it wasn't for the reasons mentioned above, I would have worn it. Good quality and cute details.

This is a fantastic dress! Classic and edgy, the scallops on the dress are trimmed in black vinyl. The covered buttons and high neck was both conservative and sexy. Classic Valentino vibe. I sized down but wish I didn't. This was TTS. I wore it several times and am considering purchasing in my true size.

Order at least 1 size smaller. I am a true size 0/xs and I ordered the 40, I don't even think the 38 would have fit. The waist is the main thing that runs large. Gorgeous dress through. I would like to try it again in the 38 but I fear that that will be too big as well.

It runs large but the fit didn't look awkward. Looks chic. Sleeves are a bit strange in my opinion as they move upward.

Unfortunately much too large, did not get to wear it.
