This dress definitely gives a holiday party aesthetic! However, this is so simple it can be wore for various occasions. Fitted at the waist, I would suggest going a size up for a back up.

Loved all the details on this dress, and the material was very thick. However, it was a little short in the front where the ruffle was. I still wore it to work with no issues, I just had to be conscious of the front.

Just loved this little dress! It got a couple of Christmas references but who cares?! It's Valentino Red! And it's gorgeous. The ruffles on the skirt were fun & playful making the rather prim silhouette from becoming too matronly. The waist is comfortable and the armholes were not too high or tight- a problem I have had in a few of these more junior tailored lines. I'm 47 and this dress made me look and feel youthful & exuberant.

This dress fit just as described. At 5'10 it hit me just above the knee. I wore it to a 4th of July Party but it would be perfect for a wedding or other formal event. If you are not extremely tall and/or leggy you could totally pull it off with a blazer at the office. Great detailing with the bow and ruffle!

The waistline is just under my bra so it's not very flattering. Also very short and I'm 5'7", almost didn't wear it to work!

I am a 34 D, and the top portion of the dress was very tight. Not sure if sizing up would help.

Love this dress, but I'm a 34C and wore the size 2-it was a little tight in the bust. I would recommend going up a size if you're the least bit busty.

Fabric is lighter than appears in the picture, not a sweater dress. Gorgeous bow, I received tons of compliments from strangers. It transitioned from a board meeting to a cocktail party easily. Would absolutely rent again!
