This is gorgeous! The fit is so forgiving, the structure and fabric is exquisite, and the embroidery is beautiful!

So pretty! But with an unforgiving fit, I wish I would have sized up. The armholes are tight and the cinching at the bust is solid. There is no give or flex. While technically it fit, I would have been so much more comfortable one size up.

I wore this dress for a conference during the day. It was absolutely perfect! And then when night came, I took my jacket off and it was perfect for dinner!

This dress is great for a casual day at the office and I loved that this style had pockets! Overall, I will say this style runs a little small especially in the bust area and the fabric has no stretch. Therefore, I would suggest sizing up.

I really liked this dress and it's not as short as it appears on the model. The dress was comfortable in the beginning but the armpits are so tight. The dress rubbed me all day! I couldn't transition with it for an evening out because it became too uncomfortable. I feel like this is a trend with red Valentino dresses. This is my second Valentino dress and they both had the same problem. Other than that, the dress looked great and the material was thick but nothing too bad for a summer day.

Loved the heavy weight and feel of this dress, which was perfect for Winter. I was able to dress up with heels or down with flats. Embroidery on the bottom hem looked great pairing with colorful cardigan, which allowed pop of color to my usual black or white outfits.

I loved the heavy weight to this dress! Everything about it was perfect, except I almost wish I could have tried the 40, since it was pretty loose around the bust. Overall though, this was perfect for my small work party!

Conservative fun dress

I wore a 40 which was my smaller/backup size. It was a bit tight across the chest which was interesting because I'm rather lean there. Someone else mentioned this dress's fit is unforgiving, it's true; there is no stretch. The fabric was quite a nice thickness for a holiday party (December), I was not cold at all. Even at my short height the dress's length landed some 4 inches above the knee for me which I was happy with. The dress also has pockets! A really nice feature. Overall this dress made the night for me, I felt really confident, and I looked great.

I love this dress. The fit is amazing. I have a really long torso, so I don't normally love anything high waisted, but the structure of this dress makes it so flattering! I got so many compliments on it. I'm still considering keeping it. It's just sooo expensive.

I love this dress. It's thick but it worked out fine as the graduation I attended was freezing. I will rent again in the fall for work. I'm 135 and 5.7 the small fit me perfect

The material of this dress is amazing. Super thick and full of texture. The navy is beautiful and the embroidery color is super saturated. Great fit for a petite gal like myself!

The material on this dress was thicker than I had anticipated when I ordered it, however, it was surprisingly cool to wear to work during the summer. The fit was great and it was a great quality. I received many compliments.

The fabric was thicker than expected, but helped the dress keep its shape all day at work. Flattering shape, slightly loose at the waist.

Overall great quality dress. The fit is perfect. The weight of the fabric covers some of the bulges around the waist area. The cut is also cute, yet formal. You can easily dress up with some jewelry. I'll be maximizing this rental for every possible occasion.

I love Red Valentino- I find that this designer runs true to size. Unfortunately, when this dress arrived the zipper was broken so I was unable to wear it. However- the dress is a great weight for fall, it runs true to size, and it's very flattering. My only comment would be that there isn't any stretch and runs slightly small in the chest so if you're fuller on top, size up. So disappointed I wasn't able to actually wear!

This is an incredibly flattering, well made dress - perfect for the fall! The embroidery is beautiful at the bottom and really makes it stand out. Well constructed, and IT HAS POCKETS! I have a broader back, so I'm glad I ordered a 46 since there isn't any stretch in the fabric. I typically wear an 8 or 10 . The 46 was very comfortable. The dress itself is heavy, and definitely for fall weather. I paired with black tights, black booties and a black cardigan.

Loved this dress. Very high quality. Heavy material. The neck hole ran small, oddly, which made it a little uncomfortable in the morning. By the afternoon I had forgotten. Great dress.

I wore this to the Country Club for a Charity event. I was worried that it might be too small so I went up a size and I didn't need to. But the larger size still fit and was comfortable. I enjoyed the pockets and paired with with some gold and camel heels. I felt very comfortable and loved the silk lining of the dress. the material is really thick and very nice quality. It was just right for a conservative dressy event.

Runs very large, couldn't wear it. I wear a large 8 / small 10, should have ordered a 6 in this dress.

I can see why this dress is popular. It's incredibly well made. Thick fabric that still hangs so nicely and is great for cooler weather. This isn't a summer dress. It's not black but a darke blue. It is fitted in the chest. If you don't like showing your arms or legs - it hit me just above mid thigh but was still work appropriate - then this isn't the dress. It's arm revealing and leg revealing. If that's your thing, you will love the way this dress fits. The only down side is the crew collar can feel a bit snug around the neck. I wore it to work several times and then the weather turned warmed.

This was a pretty dress with nice heavy fabric. I am usually between an 8 and a 10, but the 46 was way too big and long. I would recommend to size down on this one!

The dress has thick and sturdy material, good for cooler weather. I could zip up the size 40, but the neck and arms holes were so tight and small. A size 42 would've been better. I liked that the dress was longer than pictured on the model.

I rented this work and it was really nice for fall. Very thick and had gorgeous detailing on the bottom hem. Only complaints is that with no stretch, it got a little uncomfortable on top and was hard to zip up/unzip by myself. Also, the arm holes were a little small as well. I could have probably worn a 42 (6) and avoided those issues as I have a bigger bust but I loved the 40 (4) for the length and slimness.
