This dress ran large for me. I'm usually an 8 and ended up in the 6 and could even have gone a size smaller probably. The fabric is fantastic and light with great body. It's not clingy if you're concerned about your midsection. Gorgeous and very comfortable.

Loved this dress. It was perfect for an outdoor cocktail party. The skirt is a little puffy, which usually would bother me, but in this case it made the dress. Bows are a nice touch, understated/not too much.

Perfect fit; would recommend if anything sizing down, especially for women with an hour glass or athletic build. Runs a bit large in the wait. I'm typically a true size 6 (34D" 27" 39") and the four fit like a glove

This was my first ever dress from RTR and I am thoroughly impressed! The fit was perfect, I am normally a 0 or a 2 and only the 2 was available so I had to take a chance on it and luckily it worked out! The skirt is VERY full for a non-lined dress, but not too full as if it were a tutu. I danced for hours in this dress and had so many compliments on the movement of it! The bows are an adorable touch but they did need to be pressed before I wore them as they kind of popped up a little *too* much. It was hard to have to send this dress back.

Waist line was actually true to size, although I do believe the chest area of the dress is little bit baggy. However, since it is black it doesn't show much that it is baggy, also since it is a crew/boat neck-cut it gives a very chic clean look. This dress is utterly cute. The skirt of the dress is naturally voluminous so it gives very bubbly look. If you are going for the Audrey Hepburn look, this dress is a very affordable to achieve that look. As my first dress from RTR I am very satisfied of this dress. Thus, I would rent it again in the future as well.

I rented for a friends wedding at the Naval Academy in Annapolis and it fit perfectly! No issues at all, runs true to size. I have rented around 10 dresses for RTR and the service is just incredible.

I originally ordered a 2 and a 4 but should have ordered a 0 and 2. Luckily I made the 2 work although it was a touch big. The dress photographed beautifully and I received a ton of complements!! It is truly the perfect LBD!

Most reviews I read said this dress ran large...I ordered the 0 and the 2 and wore the 2 and I still felt like the top portion was pretty tight. Another note--I'm petite (5'2", 5'3") and the skirt was big and fun, but not overpowering.

I ordered both the 2 and 4 after reading reviews and looking at photos. The 2 fit perfectly. I would say I usually wear a 4, but I did not even unwrap it. The dress was in great condition and I got many compliments throughout the night. It was super flattering and I would rent it again.

Fit true to size. The skirt is very full which I loved and the bow on the shoulders add a pretty touch. Statement earrings that aren't too long worked well bc they didn't compete with the bow detail. Perfect dress for a wintery/formal wedding that you do not want to wear a long dress to!

I wore this dress for a wedding in November. I rented both the size 4 and the size 2 and ended up wearing the 2. The 4 seemed to big in the waist. It was beautiful and comfortable. The shirt is poofy and a little short but overall it was an outstanding rental. Tons of compliments from everyone!

I wore this as my MOH dress for my BF's wedding. The bride let us pick any black dress and incorporate her color. I added a turquoise belt that I made and the dress looked and fit great!!! It was comfortable and it was super easy to rent for my bridesmaid dress!

I saw in reviews that this ran a little small so I wore the 2 when I usually wear a 4.

A lot of people reviewed this dress and said that it runs large. I am a true size 2, with a small bust. This dress actually fit perfectly, and so thankful that it did because they were out of size 0, so I took a chance and just ordered the available 2. The size 0 would have been to small anyway. It looks exactly like the picture. It is not to baggy, and the skirt has just the right amount of fabric to help it blossom out without being obnoxious. I loved it, and received a ton of complements. Would definitely recommend.

I wore this short dress to a black tie wedding in early October because it is nearly impossible to find a floor length gown at 5'0'' tall! It worked out fabulously! Perfectly classic, comfortable and appropriate for the event. In fact, I barely took any pictures the entire night because I was too busy twirling on the dance floor and enjoying the full skirt! This is a great dress for petite girls and I would absolutely recommend it!

I LOVED this dress - if I could have kept it, I would have. Based on reviews, I ordered the 4 (I usually am a 4 in fit and flare dresses, but usually order up for designer dresses). I might have even been able to squeeze into the 2. In my opinion, this dress looks nicest when the bust of the dress is snug (based on photos). I'm a 32DD or E, and have a 29.5 inch waist, and it fit perfectly, with a little give. I suspect that if I was less busty, the waist would have hit more at my natural waist rather than like an empire. The length was perfect on me, but I'm definitely on the very short side. When it arrived, the back half of the bows were pressed down over the front half so they wouldn't lie flat, but all I had to do was secure the back portion of the bows on the notches of the hanger overnight, and it was fine. Definitely don't bend straight over (not that you would in a dress anyways!) because it's very poufy! I paired it with a metal front belt from ASOS and Kate Spade feather shoes I've had for YEARS and have never had the guts to wear until now. It was a hit!

This dress was super flattering and is great for you if you normally wear an A-line style dress. It's very comfortable and easy to wear. I wore it for a black tie wedding and it felt more than dressy enough. I am normally between a size 2-4 but really glad I rented the 2 because it was still a little big.

Dress was darling! Perfect LBD! Steamed out beautifully. Loved the fit, the length was perfect for my 5'3" height, (not nearly as short as model photo!), and was made of wonderful, crisp fabric! Loved wearing it. I did add a very skinny black patent belt to cinch in the waist which was too wide for me. I picked this dress because everyone said it ran large, especially in the bust. I'm a 34DDD, so finding a dress that fits my size 6-8 body while accommodating my bustling is always a challenge. This one fit the bill perfectly!

Was invited as someone's plus one to a wedding where I knew neither bride nor groom and only about 5 other guests, none of whom are female, so needless to say getting advice on what would be appropriate to wear was tough! My date was in the wedding and wore a tux, but it was a daytime summer wedding, so I tried to walk a fine line between formal and fun. This dress was perfect - it's flirty but not revealing in any way, shockingly comfortable, and made of a lovely thick material that kept its shape for a very long day and night. The chest fit better than the middle, so I added a vintage black snakeskin belt with gold details. No other accessories necessary - the dress really does all the talking.

I love this dress. It fit well and was very flattering. The little bows on the shoulders gave it a light hearted flirty feel that fit the tone of the night perfectly! The dress material is stiff so some slight adjustments needed to be made to the skirt prior to photos if I had been sitting but who doesn't adjust before a photo? All in all, I would 100% rent this one again.

I have a bit broader shoulders so it fit snug in the shoulders and the waist was a little loose but not too bad. I would order this dress again without a doubt. I loved it!

This dress def runs a lil on the bigger side... Order a size down, without question. I wanted to order a 2 but it wasn't available. I wore a 4 with a rose gold belt to match this Kate Spade clutch also from RTR. The belt helped to cinch the waist a lil since it was a tad on the larger side. My full D's fit just perfectly. I wore bow pumps which completed this look perfectly. Can't go wrong with a great little black dress.

This dress is super cute. It's pretty short, and the skirt is actually really full and poofy, which makes it fun and girly while still being sophisticated. I got so many compliments, I didn't want to send it back!

The fit was true to size. I recommend steaming the bows on the shoulders when you receive it. I had trouble with one of the bows sticking up.

It does run a little big, I'm pretty much always a 4 but fit into the 2 with no problems and it fit perfectly. The flair give it so much more detail, as do the bows on the shoulder. Paired it with nude strappy heels (like on the model) and a statement necklace and that's all it needed! I got compliments on it all night. PERFECT for a cocktail wedding or really anything that you want to add a little character to your outfit!

The fit was right on track. I wore the size I would normally buy. I did wear some tight biking shorts under the dress because the skirt is full and I felt naked. It was beautiful. I would actually love to buy this dress.

The dress was fantastic. It was a classic but fun little black dress that made me feel like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. The dress runs large, I am normally between an 8 and 10 (lately closer to a 10) and I wore the 6. So order down a size or two. It was so comfortable. The dress is also very easily accessorized and could be dressed up or down. I got a lot of compliments on the dress. I am seriously going to have a hard time sending it back. Really, rent this dress!
