A kittle loose in the waist. I didnt realize this was almost like a two piece. The front ia connected but back ia open. You can def wear to work bit becareful with the slit ir can go all the way up. Very edgy and cool feel. I wore it eith fkats and heels on two different work to night occasions.

I rented this dress for the Forbes Top Advisor Summit in Las Vegas. This dress was great! It's VERY flattering (especially for an hourglass figure), and incredibly comfortable. The high neckline is classy and conservative, but the slit adds an allure that easily transitions from a vendor sponsored cocktail party to a nice dinner to dancing at XS. I opted to tuck the back section in because it was a bit more polished and gave a better silhouette in my opinion. That said, it looks great either way. I'm between sizes (8-12 depending on the designer), and I've read some reviews saying it's tight in the mid-section so I ordered a size up just to be safe. The 8 fit PERFECTLY. I got a ton of compliments all night. Be warned, the slit goes all the way up to your waist, so be careful. I had to awkwardly grip at the dress at certain times because our cocktail party was outdoors and had a few close calls with gusts of wind. I didn't wear shorts and probably wouldn't in future, but just be advised that if you're into going commando, this probably isn't the dress for you. All in all, it was a great rental and I'll definitely be renting this again in the future.

Black is the easiest and safest color to wear all year round in NYC. It's the perfect staple dress for an effortless minimalist look. I wore a size 2 and could probably go down another size. This dress runs big and does not have stretch. Love how the care label indicates the garment made locally in Manhattan.

Chic, edgy and great for work! This dress runs true to size and overall has a relaxed feel to it. For backup, I'd recommend sizing up. Although there is no stretch to the fabric, there is plenty of room in the bust for various cup sizes. The cut up top does make it necessary to wear a racerback or strapless bra to avoid bra straps showing. The waist is fitted at the natural waist, but still remains comfortable. No fit in the hip area. It's important to note that the slit does go up pretty high and may show some leg in the wind or if you're walking fast. I wore black stretchy shorts underneath and brought a safety pin to work just in case. At 5'7" the length was a tea but definitely a bit longer than pictured on model. Looks awesome with wedges, heeled boots, or even a nicer pair of sandals.

Wore this for my cousin's rehearsal dinner. I've wanted to rent this for awhile and excited that it fit well, was comfortable and still allowed me to eat a full Chinese banquet meal. The only downside is that the slit goes up to the waist, so sitting and getting out of vehicles was precarious. Luckily, there was a long tablecloth at our table. I would not rent this for an event where you will be sitting for long periods. This is the perfect dress for a standing cocktail hour or reception.

Awesomely made dress--beautiful and flattering but wished I could have rented in a P size. If you are looking for a more traditional body con or conservative dress, this is not it. Thoughtful styling, from the waist to the slit. Wish this was a little more tucked at the waist but otherwise very comfortable. AND pockets. Wrinkles easily--had to have pressed before my event. Oh! And there are straps to keep your bra straps in place. Flattering and edgy.

I read a lot of reviews on this dress but still wasn't prepared for just how long it was. I rented this for a cocktail party and dressed it up with nice heels and accessories. I am 5'4" and it grazed my ankles. I would definitely recommend for someone 5'7" or taller! I still felt great in it and the high slit made it feel a lot less formal (bc of the length on me). Overall, it was an awesome rental.

This was a super sleek style that was perfect for work into night drinks. I will say that the waist was very fitted with little stretch. Otherwise, the style was comfortable in the bust in hips. There is the overlapping fabric detail that does gape open more than I had originally expected, so I recommend with a slip or wearing on a non windy day! I love that you can wear this more casually or dress up with accessories for a more formal event. Love!

I really enjoyed how different the design was on this dress. It was very Flattering and comfortable. Only issue (and why I only gave 4 stars) was because of the slit. When you sit it just falls wide open! I feel life I spent a lot of time at dinner pulled the sides together and trying to cover myself with my napkin. But if you'll be standing or dancing at a cocktail party I would recommend!

I was surprised by how much material this dress had but overall really enjoyed wearing it. It's very trendy and definitely one of a kind. Does has a very big slit so BEWARE! I also feel it fits a bit on the bigger side. Great outfit for work or maybe happy hour, not too much of a "summer" style would probably keep to night time/ fall season.

one thing to note as other review have mentioned, it's pretty open. I used to safety pin to close the front and that worked perfectly.

I rented this as a backup option for my birthday party and was so torn! I LOVED this dress and want to own it! I typically wear a size 4 and this dress fit like a dream. I'm 5'8" and the dress was about tea length. If you are any shorter this would feel like a much longer dress. The slit did not feel very revealing to me. I loved that you can wear a regular bra with this one and the pleating is so flattering, my waist looked smaller than a minute! Highly recommend for a super chic and cool vibe. Major bonus for the pockets and versatility of the style (you can tuck the back in or leave it out for a more relaxed feel)

Loved this dress so much. Super comfortable and versatile. I would say this ran a little big for me and I wish I would have sized down. I ended up tucking the back part of the dress in and adding a belt which looked super cute. I agree with other reviewers that you definitely need to be aware of the opening in the front of you are sitting down or walking outside when it's windy. I would consider purchasing this dress!!!

I love this dress. I wore it to a birthday party- the top fits perfectly and the slit wasn't too noticeable until sitting down- and then it was a little risqué. I was traveling and would have worn with different shoes but I paired with leather booties and a leather jacket. Would rent again to wear with strappy sandals.

The dress is a very interesting cut, with the top and skirt joined only through the waist at the front. The top buttons at the back of the neck, and hangs loose at the back. I tucked the top in when wearing this dress with a blazer to prevent the "tail" showing. The slit at the front of the skirt is a nice feature. The fabric is a fine wool, so it felt warm but not too heavy.

Fantastic details, beautiful construction. I'm not feeling great about my body right now and this dress was SO flattering. Love the drape of the front - the pleats are flattering and forgiving. Can blow open a bit in a stiff breeze but just be careful :) The only complaint is the button at the back of the neck is nearly impossible to get undone by yourself.

This dress is definitely one of the more "fashion-y" pieces on the site. Great construction and fit. Fabric is very wrinkle-prone - this is the first RTR item I've had to iron before wearing.

I rented this on unlimited because I really liked the minimalist design and it's a fun twist on the typical black dress. I wore it a couple of times, with flat sandals for a more casual look and with heels and a clutch for a night out. Lots of compliments and great for every body type.

This fits TTS. My usual size is a 4 but I really wanted this dress and got a 6. It was too big in the bust and a little big in the waist. I probably would have liked it more if I had rented this in my size.

Loved the length to the knee. Only negative was the slit in the front, it opened all the way up- had to pin to feel comfortable.
