Yes - these do run large. I normally wear a 26 but returned for a size 25 and they were still plenty loose. They fit like typical Rag & Bone boyfriend jeans, loose fitting and they get bigger as you wear them. I wore these only one day and resisted the urge to wash/dry them in an effort to shrink them back down for another day. ha. They are super cute and I found them to be a nice change-up from my typical daily look.

I liked these in a 30, but loved them even more one size up! Perfect length, not too tight but no sagging either. Keeping these for a bit!

Heavy denim with a bit of stretch. Button closures and high waist hold them in place. Length hits just above the knee and is perhaps not the most flattering silhouette.

Love the design. Perhaps sizing down would've made them pop more.

In sizing down, the waist of these was definitely uncomfortably tight on me. The strange thing is that the tush and legs area of these shorts got really baggy while I was wearing them. So it's true that they run large, but the waistline doesn't run all that large. Ultimately these aren't sexy shorts (who wants a saggy tush), but they did their job of not being pants.

I sized down 1 and they fit perfectly. I liked these even though they are longer than I would like. However my husband said they were frumpy. Wouldn't rent again.

I had rented jeans by this brand few months ago, and 28 was to tight and needed a 29. So I stuck with 29 for these shorts but they were too big!! And no I haven't lost weight. It was frustrating. That said, the material of these jean shorts are thick and nice. Maybe too thick for hot summer weather. Length is long like 9-10" biker shorts. I may rent again and size down next time.

I ordered larger since there weren't any reviews. I usually wear a size 6 and the 28 , i ordered was way too big overall in the waist and leg. They fit like a boyfriend jean. I would recommend ordering your true size. Casual jean short with button closure.

These shorts run large; I wear a size 2 and even the 25 was too big for me. However, I am an hourglass shape with a 24" waist and 34" hip so take that with a grain of salt. Not sure if the hips and thighs would have fit if I sized down to a 24. The pockets were not flattering on my butt; they made it look flat. While I wouldn't say my butt is my most flattering feature, it definitely isn't the worst; I do have some curve there. All my wider hips ladies take note. The color was flattering to my larger thighs though.

One review had said they were small, and one review said they were in large. I got a bigger size just in case and wish I had not. They definitely run very large I would get your smaller size or even size down. The waist was very large. The color is really cute and the length was cute as well. Too bad they did not fit

wanted to love these but unfortunately they just weren't made for someone who's thicker through the hip and thigh. Never wore them.

Waist was big but then the legs tapered into a too-tight fit and flattened my booty. Just didn't work.

They were longer than I anticipated and then there is no give at the waist band.

I'm not feeling amazing about my body right now and these shorts only made me feel worse. They were so unflattering. Made my butt look flat and really highlighted my lack of tan. You couldn't pay me to wear to wear these in public.

Loved these! They do run large and have lots of stretch though, so size down. I wore mine with a belt, which helped, but one size down would have been perfect.

I really liked the style of these but did not realize they were button fly and they ran very small. They also have zero give or stretch. Try as I may not could not get them buttoned. I would recommend going up at least one size from your normal size and if your problem area is your tummy you may even want to go up two sizes.
