Love this dress, was perfect for the event. Black with just enough style pop to stand out.

Fit very well and was comfortable. The only odd thing was the attached belt is much tighter than the dress’ waist, and I couldn’t button it. However, I figured out a way to use it since it is sewn on and is therefore a must. The belt comes together in the back Nd is hidden by the drape. So I just used a black hair tie to connect the ends, and that worked- totally hidden by the draped fabric. I was complimented all night!

It's really nice that they provide two sizes since you never really know how a dress will fit. This was my first time using rent the runway and I thought the dress hadn't arrived in time, I called customer service and they were delightful to work with. Turns out my boyfriend had signed for it and it had in fact arrived. I felt beautiful all night, definitely a gorgeous and classic style.

Rented this dress for a black tie wedding. It arrived on time and was a perfect fit. A little tight with the waist belt, but overall was very happy with it. Long and elegant, yet simple.

Fit was perfect! I'm 5'10" and ordered the long and it was a perfect length with heels. There is a belt on the dress that does not stretch. That was a little snug in me being 4 months postpartum, but other than that I loved this dress! Just enough cleavage without being too much!

I wore this for a work black tie event. It was cozy and elegant and I was able to wear a regular bra with it. It runs a bit small.

Fits larger than other brands but not too large. Not a lot of stretch but fit comfortably and flattering. I had 3 dinners and still looked great- haha.

This was my back-up style (original one we decided was too fancy and sparkly for the event), and I loved it! Per other reviews stating that the bust size ran tight on larger-busted women, I ordered a size up from my normal size 6. I had some wiggle room, but preferred that over the potential of a too-tight top. This dress can be worn with a regular bra, no problem. There is a "belt" that hooks at the small part of the waist to ensure a nice silhouette along with a side zipper. Length was great - I'm 5'3" and wore a 2-inch heel. Nice material, comfortable to dance and sit in. Zero complaints!

Funny story, this was not the dress I ordered!! I originally ordered something else, and last minute, RTR emailed to say they couldn't deliver the dress. They graciously sent me several dresses to choose from based on my previous rentals and style. I chose this and it was a total hit. I love looking at these photos of me in this dress. Very sexy, and very flattering. It gives the illusion that you are showing skin up top, but its mostly material that appears see-through. Check it out. I curled my hair in an old hollywood glam wave look and it was perfect.

This dress was actually the backup to my backup that I ended up getting shipped overnight to arrive on the day of my event. Luckily it fit perfectly. The peekaboo lace on the sides/front is a beautiful pale pink (which I felt didn't show well in RTR pictures). The slit in the front makes the dress a little more "moveable" and I'm glad I ended up with a good option!

This dress is very flattering. I am 5"2 and typically a 4. I wore the 4R and the length was perfect with heels. The fit was pretty true to a size. The lace detail on the bust and under the arms is very flattering. If you have a large rib cage I would recommend sizing up. There is a subtle belt right under the bust line and may be tight if you have a larger rib cage. This dress is really comfortable and looks lovely on. Would absolutely rent again!

This dress is beautiful and I received so many compliments! There is not a whole lot of "give" in the material of this dress. I rented the 4 and 6. (I'm a usual 4) The 6 was too from the waist up but fit ok everywhere else. The 4 was snug but worked much better...with little room to spare. I was still comfortable but I would definitely suggest sizing up on your second size and trying both and going with whatever feels better. It was the perfect dress for a formal wedding. The dress falls straight down with little room in the hip/thigh area, but I still managed to dance the night away!

Great dress for my work holiday party. Very flattering

My favorite rental so far! This dress holds everything in perfectly and has elegant details. The neckline is not too deep and not too conservative, and the slit in the front is sexy without you having to worry if you are showing too much. I have a bigger butt, so I was worried it would be too tight but I had the right amount of room without looking baggy. My one and only complaint is the empire waist band was a tad tight, but the dress still zipped easily.

Fit was perfect! The length was great, even at 5'2".

Stunning black gown by Raoul! Running true to size, we recommend going one size up for backup. With no stretch in the fabric and a tighter fit in the bust, this dress is better for smaller cup sizes. This gown is fitted at the waist and hip area, so if you’re curvier, you may want to consider sizing up. One thing that I love about this dress is the lace detailing at the neckline; however you would have to wear a NuBra or no bra for this look. At 58” from shoulder to hem, this gown is perfect to wear with heels for a gala or black tie wedding. Pair it with silver jewelry and any color heels.

Love how it fit! Gorgeous dress! Lots of compliments! The hooks on the belt buckle were missing so I had to safety pin the belt! That is literally my only complaint! Love the dress otherwise!

I had to wear a padded bra. It would have been fine without, but I didn't fill it out. Other than that, it fit like a glove. I am 5' 7" and I think it could have been an inch longer.

I am 5'-6" and the long was perfect with heels.

So really try to look through as many pictures as you can. The top is two distinctly different parts. The lacy underlay is against your skin and then the solid black part is almost like a sheath on top of it. Its really pretty but i think better suited to a b cup and above. A huge pro is that you can wear a regular bra underneath it! It was a little bit short for me at 6'1" and my feet were poking out at the bottom with flats on. The middle slit was super easy for dancing and walking. I would recommend this again.

I am a 34dd so the bust was too small in the 8R. The dress runs a bit small anyway so the 10R was good.

I loved this dress. I sized up because I have a larger bust (ddd). I was able to wear a regular bra. The lace on top is beautiful and I loved the way the black fabric draped over it in the back. The only thing I didn't love about the dress was a belt that goes right below the lace. It was very tight around my chest.

Beautiful dress with unique detail. The only problem I had with the dress was the belt. It's hard to see from the image but there is a belt sewn to the dress that does not adjust and has no stretch. It is very tight and uncomfortable. I wish I would have sized up for my back up dress solely because of the belt. By the end of the night it was very restrictive. I received a lot of compliments on the dress and would rent again if it wasn't for the belt! Also the skirt has no stretch its fairly tight but I didn't find it to be a problem. I'm 5'2'' and 150 lbs and I wore the size 8R which was a little long even with heels.

I didn't realize that the top of this is a blouson while being 2 pieces. The lace underway was gorgeous, but then there was a loose, black overlay that just didn't seem to work right on me! The cut of the dress was awesome-I just didn't care for the overlay blouson top!

I didn't end up wearing the dress because another that I rented for better, but the dress looked amazing! Very dressy and flattering, I would recommend ordering a size up because the belt is very tight. You won't be disappointed with this dress. You can wear a normal bra as well.

I ordered this dress for a formal event. My husband slightly preferred the other dress I ordered, so I went with that one. But I am absolutely ordering this dress for our next event! It's understated and gorgeous; the listing photos seriously don't do it justice. Gave me the illusion of an hourglass shape, and the blousson top was so lovely and flattering. The belt is a bit fidgety--not just a simple hook and eye but also has a snap--epsecially since it snaps towards the back where it's impossible to see. Other than that, a total dream!
