I rented this dress from the Flatiron location after my previous dresses didn't fit. I immediately loved it in the showroom and was SO HAPPY when it fit in the dressing room. The 6R fit well, I could have used an extra inch or two in length with my 3" heels (I am 5'5") but worked for being in a pinch. I might have been able to go down to a 4 (long) for a more fitted feel but the 6 gave me room to eat without abandon and dance without worry. The fabric is thick great for a fall or winter wedding or a chilly spring evening event. The rich berry color is also beautiful and just enough gold/bronze sparkle at the collar to give it some pizzazz. I will definitely rent this gown/designer again for my next black tie or winter event - especially if new colors are offered.

My original dress choice ended up not being available; RTR sent me an email that allowed me to make several more choices, at any price. Wasn't sure I would like this one, but it was a really pretty plum color, and the neckline was unusual and looked great on. Length was perfect for me with lower heels. Material was heavier, perfect for the winter formal that I attended. Runs a little on the small side of you have a larger ribcage like I do (no stretch). Wore it with a strapless bra. Received many compliments from complete strangers! Rent this if you want something different than the typical LBD for an evening formal event!

I normally wear a 6 but I have a long torso so the waist didn't hit at my waist and the hips were a little tight for sitting so I went with the 8L. I NEEDED the long size for this dress!!!! Dress was very comfortable but didn't have any stretch to it. I felt perfectly dressed for my black tie military gala. I definitely felt and looked classy and stylish.

Rented this dress for a black tie wedding and it worked perfectly! It's a beautiful color and different enough that there was no other dress like it. The dress was very comfortable all night long and is great for dancing. The fabric was just slightly thicker than I thought, but wasn't a problem at all. Not sure how this dress would be in the summer though. The neckline was not a problem, which I was a bit apprehensive about looking at it. I wore 2-3 inch heels and the length wasn't an issue, even when I took the heels off to dance the dress wasn't in the way, which can be difficult being 5'2! The dress is great and flattering for women with larger busts. I'm usually a size 8 and the 8R fit like a glove.

This dress DEFINITELY looks way prettier in person. I went to NYC Flatiron for fitting and my stylist Dani recommended this dress to me. I was the only person who wore this color/dress + received TONS of compliment all night. I'm 5'7" but I decided to get regular length since I'm a wild dancer. :)

It's difficult to find dresses that flatter a larger bust, and as someone who doesn't like to show much skin but still be sexy, this dress was the perfect fit and balance.

Loved this dress and how it made me feel. The fabric threw me off at first it didn't feel like I thought it would but I think that is why it drapes so well. I'm 5'2, 34 C, and weigh about 110lbs. Perfect fit and I didn't have to wear a bra. I don't know how I will ever find a dress that will top this one, but can't wait for my next event to at least try!

I loved the color for winter -- just bright enough without feeling overpowering for the season. The neck adds a special detail that really makes the dress stand out - got lots of compliments! Fit was great, I'm 5'4" and wore the regular length with 3 inch heels, but when I changed to flats to dance it still worked without feeling too long.

Perfect fit and perfect length with 3-4 inch heels. It was a gorgeous color and was comfortable to dance in all night!

I got the 4L and the 6R. Both fit but the 4L was very tight around the ribcage. I knew I would be sitting for dinner and it would have been a problem. I ended up going with the 6R for a little breathing room and it worked out perfectly. I danced all night and it didn't bother me once. I was worried that the sequins would bother my neck, but they didn't rub my skin at all. Also, the 4L was really long, I'm 5'7" and wore 4in heels, and it was still on the ground. Definitely happy with this dress!

I am about 5"5 and usually wear a size 10 in dresses. The 12 fit better in this dress so I would order a size up as your second size.. I got so many complements and the detail on the neck was perfect . I felt beautiful. It was form fitting but hit in all the right places. Very happy with my RTR experience

Great length with 2.5 inch heels, fit well around the waist, hips and chest. Neck was not itchy like I was worried about!

I ordered the 6R and backup size 8R and wore the 8R. I'm 5'6 and 145lbs. The sizes seemed to run small since I can normally wear a 4 or 6 so I was really glad I got the 8. The length was a little short but other reviews mentioned the long was too long. I got compliments the moment I walked in my firms Xmas party. Everyone kept saying I could be on the red carpet! Loved this dress.

The dress fit pretty true to size. I would say the long was just a tad too long with my heels but it was perfect. The mid section is a bit tight and the neck was a little tight as well if I was sitting. All in all - great dress.

A great dress! I wore this to a spring wedding and it was the perfect weight -- not too thick (so I could still bust a move on the dance floor without sweating to death) and not too thin (I wasn't freezing when we went outside to check out the skyline views). I got a ton of compliments, especially on the collar/neckline. I paired it with gold shoes and accessories. Length was perfect (heels were probably 2-2.5" high and the tips of my shoes just peeked out). The 14 was a little roomy on me (they didn't have it in the 12), but no one noticed. The front and back are really two pieces crisscrossed together (that wasn't apparent from the model's pics) but not enough to make you feel uncomfortable dancing in front of grandma. Love it so much, I might rent the other color for my next event.

I usually run between a 4 and a 6, so this fit like a glove and was slightly more snug through the hips. I wore jewel tone studs and gold accessories that complemented the playful neckline and aubergine nicely. At 5'10" I was fine in 3.5" heels with the long length. Highly recommend!

This dress is absolutely beautiful in person. The neck and middle got a bit tight toward the end of the evening, but it wasn't too irritating. The fabric is thick and doesn't stretch much. I'm 5'2" and the OR was a perfect fit with 3" heels. There is a small opening in the back with the way the fabric drapes, so a bra strap will definitely show back there!

Dress was perfect except it was a cross over in the back so almost looked puffy in the back across the shoulders. I was able to fix it easily with making the collar tighter with a safety pin vs the button. Worked perfect!

Fits great everywhere except the length is short; bottom of dress barely hit top of my foot without shoes on. If you are wearing heels, get the L

I wore this to a charity gala and felt like a million bucks! It's very flattering and forgiving of figure flaws. Bonus, you can wear a strapless bra with it! The fabric is of a heavy high quality, and the color is a little more vibrant in person. I loved the sparkle at the neckline, which made my jewelry needs simpler. It's a little long - I was 5'8" in my heels and I still had to pick it up to walk comfortably. Loved this dress and would rent again!

This is one of my favorites from RTR. The color is a plum, and looked very regal. It went perfectly with some gold accessories.

This dress was lovely. I wore it 13 weeks pregnant and just a little fuller (6 lbs) than usual. It was still so flattering. With a small bust, I didn't even need a bra!

Wore this dress to a black tie optional wedding in LA. I was worried about the length since I'm only 5'0, but with only 3 in. heels, it didn't drag at all. I felt amazing in the dress because it just fit perfect in all the right places and the cut was flattering.

Thick material so it was very forgiving and not clingy (didn't emphasize belly area, yay!). I'm between a 2 - 4 typically, and I'm 5'6. Several people said it was too short, so I ordered a 4 Regular and also size down in an extra long (2 extra long), just in case. The size 4 fit perfectly, if not with just a little extra room that made it comfortable, and the length was perfect - hit just where you could see about an inch of the front top toes of my sparkly shoes (with 3 -4 inch heels). I didn't even try on the 2 long so I can't say how it fit but I held it up and it seemed REALLY long. I had to wear a strapless bra but the bonus is that there is a slit down the middle of the front twist (that you really can't see, so it's not like it's revealing or anything) but it did allow me to slip in there and tug my bra up pretty easily when no one was looking. ;-) Great first experience with RTR!!! I'll be back for sure!

This dress is so pretty in person. The color really stands out, and has a richness to it that just does not come across in these photos. I thought I wouldn't like this dress, but my stylist steered me to it, and she was so right! The style is very flattering too. I didn't have to worry about eating too much or wear spanx, because this dress made my silhouette look long and lean, while draping perfectly over my curves. The waist doesn't come in too much, and runs very true to size. At 36", 27", 36", and 5'5", and not the most athletic shape, this was a great choice for me. I was able to wear the size 2 in this one, although I run between a size 2 and 4.

I rented this dress for NYE. I rented the 4R and 6R. I ended up wearing the 6R and it fit perfectly and flattered my figure. I received a lot of compliments. I would definitely rent this dress again. RTR hasn't disappointed me. More rentals for sure in the horizon for all my special events.

This dress fits beautifully. It is easy to walk, sit and dance in, and the color is gorgeous in person. It is a simpler formal without sacrificing too much wow factor. I normally wear a 4 and occasionally a 2, and I ended up wearing the 2 in this style. It is a great dress for shorter women. I was concerned as I'm very short waisted that the halter would be too long around my neck and the waist wouldn't hit at the right spot, but it was perfect. The dress is not long and was perfect for my 5'4" frame.

Fit was perfect- draped well, no underarm gaps, length was perfect with heels, the fabric weight was good for a winter wedding. Wore a strapless bra and 3" heels, did not need spanx with the thicker fabric.

This dress was true to size, even though I was eating a lot with family and friends the entire week before. Being 5"3' I wore 5" shoes and I could have gotten away with something shorter. I was comfortable eating and dancing all night. When my mom tells me I look sexy, that's a win! She's my toughest critic.

This was my first time renting from RTR and it most definitely will not be my last! I wore this dress to a black-tie charity gala in November in Buffalo. I own a ton of formal dresses, and this dress, by far, received the most compliments throughout the evening. You will definitely be recognized in this dress! I ordered a 4L and a 6R and ended up wearing the 6R (i'm 5'3.5" and the L was way too long!) and it fit fine. It fit a tad loose around the rib cage but nothing that was overly noticeable. The gorgeous eggplant color of the dress complemented by the gold choker neckline was stunning. I accented the dress with emerald colored tear drop earrings which really set the tone for the contrasting colors along with gold bangle bracelets. I wore 4-inch shimmer gold closed toed heels and the dress just skimmed the floor. I had no problems walking in it at all. I wore a strapless nude colored bra & a bikini panties. No shapewear was needed as the material of the dress was just thick and soft enough for full coverage. I thoroughly read all the reviews prior to renting to learn what people my body size and type had to say and they were dead on!! You cannot go wrong with renting this dress. Enjoy!

The fit was good. I'm pretty short and only had to wear 2 inch heals. The buttons on the neck were a little difficult, but I managed. The fabric is a little thick, which I appreciated because it was a fall wedding. Overall amazing!

Not a lot of give to the dress so I had to figure out how to climb steps and pick things up off the ground gracefully at first but by the end of the night I was dancing away in it! Loved it!

Fits true to size. The long was just above the floor with me being 5'10" in heels. Wore to black tie wedding and was really happy with this choice. Pretty comfortable and absolutely loved the color.

This dress was sent to me after my first dress came and it didn't work. I wish I had just ordered this dress from the start! My regular size wasn't available but the stylist I spoke with assured me that the larger size would be fine because it had some stretch to it. The top was a bit big but other than that it was perfect! The regular length would have been short if I wore heels and I'm only 5'4".

Loved the look and the fit of this dress! I received a lot of compliments. It was about a half inch longer than I would have liked (I'm 5ft 4 in) but I easily fixed that with different heels. Perfect for black tie wedding.

I'm a size 12R with fairly large breast, dress has no stretch so 14R worked great for me.

The overall fit is slimming and comfortable. The gold necklace attached to the dress is a great pop next to the purple color. I'm 5'9. I wish the long version would have been available but the regular length wasn't terrible.I received numerous compliments. I highly recommend.
