The most beautiful dress to have ever existed (in my opinion anyway)
I rented this dress after RTR notified me that my beloved Reem Acra "Florence Gown" was unavailable. The next weekend, I took a trip to their Flatiron store in search for a new dress. I was sorely disappointed, it seemed like nothing would live up to the dress I had originally selected. After trying on dress after dress, I thought I would leave empty handed until my stylist brought this one out. Everyone in the dressing room just adored it (including me). I would note that it does run small. I'm generally a zero in most dresses, but I met a little resistance with this one. It has a bit of a corset inside and is very structured at the top. I quite liked the fit however, it was tight enough that I didn't have to do the classic "strapless dress pull up" dance move or wear a bra. It made my waist look ity-bitty and it looks like something Grace Kelly might wear. I'm 5'7 and was able to pull off 4 inch heels. You might want to go with a 3 inch if you're my height and you're unsure. I think I was moderately emotional when I packed this dress up. If there is ever an event where I have to look like a princess, I will shamelessly rent it again despite the fact that I wore it to my prom. Rent the Runway was so fabulous and I can't thank them enough for making my night so special.

Princess dress
I received plenty of compliments, and people told me I looked like Grace Kelly. Most of all, I felt great wearing it. This dress is beautiful and moves wonderfully when dancing. When you're not dancing though, the front looks much more structured than it does in the photo. You can see how the front looks in the side-facing photo. The material is somewhat heavy, but the top has an inner structure that holds everything up very well. The does not slip or move, which is great. It is much easier to get both zippers up if someone helps you dress. I dressed myself, but it took about 10-15 minutes. One thing to be aware of: this dress does not do stairs. There is an inner silk layer, a layer of tulle, and then the outer skirt. No matter how much you hold the dress up, your shoes will get caught in the tulle going upstairs. Going downstairs is fine, but if your event has stairs just make sure there is also an elevator available. Also, it runs extremely small, so go up a size or two when ordering.

Gorgeous gown, SIZE UP!
Such a beautiful gown, great color. If you haven't heard already, Reem Acra runs small. Like 2 sizes small. I usually wear a 2/4, and I need to get a 6/8 to fit into this. Unfortunately I had to send it back, but it's stunning!
