Really awesome style-- not for cold weather
Loved this so much but I needed something warmer I didn't have the chance to wear as much as I wanted. Will rent again when weather warms up!

So many pockets. It's great for errands or carrying around essentials for my puppy.
I rented a large because I have a hard time finding coats that are broad enough in the shoulder or have long enough sleeves. That is not the case with this coat and I wish I'd gotten a medium instead.

Fun coat, maybe a bit too much hardware.
Nice shape, liked the details. animal print wasn't over the top - almost camo. As hard as I tried though, I couldn't zip on the hood. Good thing I liked it without.

HUGE and noisy, but also very cool
Rented this at 9 months pregnant and was able to zip it up and feel very stylish wearing it. I will agree with other reviews that it runs very large--I literally wore this in an XS 2 days before giving birth. I also was annoyed by the clinking that the zippers made as I moved. However, the elastic in the back cinched in a very flattering way that actually made me feel good wearing a bulky coat while I was at my biggest. That alone was enough to make me love this coat. Pregnant ladies, this coat is worth renting!

Very cool jacket
Quite fashion forward -- And you need to be tall to pull it off. I really liked it. Yes a lot of straps which you can mostly ignore. With the back straps pulled in it is more or less fitted through the torso with a bit of a bustle or peplum in the back. Flattering on me but would overwhelm someone of smaller stature. Fabric is heavy cotton. Not waterproof. Pattern is wonderfully neutral somehow. Available cheaper elsewhere if u wanted to buy it.

My wish for the industry... but not
Technical Specs: This coat is definitely oversized, which is the aesthetic. Unfortunately for my 5'3 self, the sleeves reached to the tips of my fingers and the bottom hits mid-knee. It looked TOO oversized for my shortness. It's definitely heavy and will keep one warm in an SF winter, not so sure about a NYC winter. Experience: This coat could be everything I want from a coat, but it misses its mark. While the industry keeps looking for the next new aesthetic, I feel like this jacket is more the next big thing, or it could have been, versatility that doesn't scream REI. I loved the idea that you could remove the sleeves via snaps to only discover they were sewn on, so you actually couldn't. The jacket almost looks reversible, which would have been another great feature, alas it was also not this. Another feature it COULD have had, a zipper at the waist to give a jacket option, but it didn't. What it DOES have is a removable hood, although mine had the tracking tag sewn on the outside, so I could not actually use it. The sleeves do give three width options, which I'm also into, and the snaps do work so you could do an exposed shoulder look if you're so inclined. YES to all the pockets! My favorite feature the coat actually had were long detachable straps on the inside, giving me the ability to carry the jacket on my shoulders. Not sure if that was the intention, but it was amazing to be able to lug it once it got too warm and still have my hands free. Does this also turn into a tote, because that's another versatility option I'd love to see. All in all, though, it's definitely an interesting piece for the taller and daring.

Runs large
Very large - definitely go down a size - there is a lot of metal going on here too - it feels like every part of the coat is removable by a snap. I love the look of the fabric and the straps in the back - just going to rent again in a size down.

Just wasn't my style in the end
there's lots of hardware, and I can see how it would be cool, but I tend to send things back in search of items I love, and I didn't love this so back it went!

Very large and strange
I thought this was so cute in the photo but it was horrible. Very oversized and not in a fashionable way. The cotton is very heavy and not realistic for light rain (which is all cotton is good for here in the PNW). I also didn't understand the snap sleeves. They appeared they could come off but were actually sewn on by the last snap. The inside has all sorts of contraptions for making the coat more fitted, but after tightening all of them I didn't see a difference. Sent back same day.
