I have a small bust so I never felt that I was going to pop out or look risque. I didn't wear a bra and didn't need double stick tape. It fit like a glove. I didn't want to take it off. So perfect! I usually wear a 4 in dresses with a stretch material, but it was unavailable. I don't know how the 4 would've looked, but I was incredibly comfortable in the 6. It's such a sturdy fabric that I couldn't imagine it being baggy no matter the size.

This dress made me feel GORGEOUS!!! I've never loved something on myself as much as this!! So fit wise it was def snug and kept me sitting upright but not so tight I couldn't breath or anything! The armholes were VERY high compared to anything normal and could've caused irritation if I wore it any longer...but the amount of compliments I got and how great I felt in it more than made up for it! Strongly recommend! Oh 1 more thing, luckily I had a red bra to wear bc the tape they gave me fell off after sweating and my bra would sometimes be visible if you we're looking down at me...not major, but def a call out. LOVED IT

After my expected dress was returned to RTR damaged, I had just one day to find a replacement in advance of a charity gala. I usually wear a 4, but this dress was only available in a 6, so I took the chance. I was happy with the overall quality of the dress and really liked its unique cut, but it was (predictably) a little too big. Thank goodness for the fashion tape, or you would have been able to see my entire bra in the front! I received many compliments and was pleased with how everything turned out, even if it wasn't my initial dress choice.

This dress was perfect - I felt like a knockout in it. The color is so unique and the fit is to die for - it gave me curves in all the right places. The neckline was pretty low-cut so it showed a little more cleavage than I was comfortable with. But all in all, I loved the dress and you will too!

So this dress was sent to me as a replacement after Hurricane Sandy derailed my plans for a different red dress. I am SO HAPPY this was the dress I got instead. Besides the fact that it's a gorgeous red color and fit me like a glove, it accentuated my better features and hid the more unattractive ones. I didn't need spanx (which is usually a must for me). I have big boobs and this dress made them look so perky and controlled! I received sooooo many compliments. Even the wedding photographer said she couldn't stop taking pictures of my dress!! Also, the stylists were amazing in figuring out my body type and sending me a replacement dress. I had ordered a different red dress in a size 6 and I was sent a size 8 for this dress (which fit perfectly).

This dress will give you cleavage for days. The shade of red is extremely flattering and the cut of the dress is super slimming. I felt extremely sexy wearing it.

This is a great dress. The material is not very stretchy but thick so Spanx aren't entirely necessary. The bust runs very small - I would not wear a bra with this if you are above a B.

Pro: gorgeous dress that accentuated all the right places! The only size avail was a size down and even though it was tight, still was incredibly comfortable.

I recently lost weight so it's hard to say what my "normal" dress size is right now. Initially, I didn't think my hips even fit in to the size 8, so I spent the day trying to create the right fit for the size 10, which looked good but was far too big in front to wear without a bra. I couldn't find a bra that would stay put so in a last-ditch effort I threw the 8 back on and realized how much sexier it looked... it just allowed for much smaller dance moves! Glad I went for it though, because in the middle of the night a friend came over to tell me how many people were talking about me in the dress! I would recommend it, but be sure to take them up on the second-size offer! My first experience with RTR was great!

This dress runs VERY small. I typically wear a 6 or 8 and I wore the 10 and it was form-fitting. Dress is low-cut but accommodated my 32DD chest in a regular bra. Straps work best if they are at the edge of your shoulders, as the armscye is also small on this dress. Hips are narrow on this dress but I also have narrow hips so I had plenty of room and was comfortable sitting. Very happy with this dress.

I loved this dress. It fit a little snug under the bust, but that was fine. The cut made it so I didn't have to wear a bra, yet wasn't worried about potential nip-slips, and more importantly, I didn't look saggy. I was worried that it would be too fitted to dance in, but I had no problem getting down all night. I want to save up and buy this dress.

Great color! I got tons of compliments! It runs small in the hips so a curvy girl should go a size larger. The fabric is thick and was a little itchy...that is why I rated a star down.

This dress is very sexy. Lots of cleavage, but it's such a well-made dress that it doesn't feel trashy. Didn't need a bra, and I could have worn the 8 comfortably, but I was worried about the more delicate fabric on the bust; it looked like it was coming apart. All in all I rented a couple dresses for a week in New Orleans, and I loved having such a tiny suitcase, but a closet full of amazing dresses!

This dress was the most flattering thing I have worn in a long time! I ordered the 6 and 8 and wore the 8, the only issue being it cut up a little high under the arms (it's also a lot of bust to show for a curvy girl but still appropriate).

This was my backup dress and was not very comfortable. It was very tight and the armholes are very small. I was going to go with my original but my husband liked this one more. I did not feel comfortable moving in it too much because it was very tight. I do not think I'd rent it again.

Overall, I felt BEAUTIFUL and happy! HOWEVER- If this was for more than just a cocktail night at a swanky bar with my boyfriend, I would have struggled for three reasons: bra, armpits, hips. BRA: I have a small-ish chest, and with the right bra (a red one) I was "poppin"! Worked for the occasion, but I would have felt uncomfortable in any sort of professional situation. If I did not have the EXACT color red bra, I would have had to go without- the dress is so low that it definitely shows the bra. ARMPITS: As other reviewers have said, the dress has small arm holes, so it rides up into your armpit. I was just sitting all night, so it wasn't a huge deal, but ANY sweat or moving (chaffing) would have been really irritating. HIPS: I have big hips/thighs and a small waist. The size 10 was really tight on my thighs, causing it to ride up when I walk/sit. At the same time, I could have taken in over 2 inches at the waist/bodice. Not a problem for dinner with my man... but would have been so irritating to pull down all night if I had been dancing or standing. All in all- this is what RTR is all about! I felt beautiful, it fit my needs- even though it is a dress that I would definitely not buy due to the odd/uncomfortable fit points.

I was concerned about the size because I am a true size 2P but often wear size 0 in regular sizes. Only size available for my requested date was size 4 so I took a chance guessing it would be WAY too big. To my surprise, I had a tough time getting it zipped it was so snug. It looked amazing once I got it on and zipped but there was absolutely no room for error here. I think it was likely due to it being worn and laundered numerous time, however, I am not for sure. I am 5'3", 115 lbs. on a very petite frame. Unfortunately I did not get a pick but I will definitely be ordering this one again. It was drop dead sexy with an equal amount of class and sophistication. So far, this is my favorite rental to date.

Unfortunately, the dress that fit was very worn when it arrived. The zipper had many patches of paint missing so the gun metal on the zipper was seen, instead of a red zipper. Also the tulle fabric over the bust was separated where the piece of thread was meant to hold it together and the underside of one piece of the fabric was showing so basically ragged fabric appeared. I was fortunately able to use some fabric tape to hold it together. Unfortunately, I did contact Rent the Runway about this issue 12 hours after receiving my dresses via the help email provided and did not receive any feedback on how to handle the situation. Love the dress, but wish it was in better condition when it arrived and the Rent the Runway staff had gotten back to me as they promised on the card provided in the package.

This is a beautiful red dress that looks amazing on the girls that posted a photo. It just didn't work for me. I didn't end up wearing it as it wasn't flattering on me. The color is a perfect, gorgeous red, but the fit didn't work for me. I'm always trying to find dresses that flatter tummy flaws, and this definitely isn't one of those. It's also very thick, so it would be great for winter/cold weather events, but I'd avoid it the rest of the year.

I wore this for NYE and let me tell you, the dress paid for itself. I felt sexy, but still classy, and got many many compliments. The dress is very fitted, but I was still able to dance in it. Also, it is worth noting it is mostly wool (though fully lined)---the silk in the name is just the little bit around the bust. As for fit, I am usually a size 2, but thankfully I also ordered the 4 because I couldn't zip the 2 over my 32DD bust. (This dress shows ample cleavage, but isn't vulgar. The length helps in that regard---it hit just above the knee.) There wasn't much difference between the 2 and 4 in the rest of the fit, though. All in all, highly recommended!

I wore this to an office Christmas party. It is quite low cut, but not inappropriate. The cut really shows off an hourglass figure. Watch out a little if you have petite proportions -- it makes it a little lower cut in front. But I felt great in this dress!

I rented this dress for a wedding and I loved it!! Beautiful fabric and boning details give it an excellent fit. Larger busts should be prepared for it to be revealing..it is sexy but still very classic.

Wore this dress for a New Year's event, and felt amazing in it! The only thing is that it's probably not best for my body type. I have relatively broad shoulders, but also petite breasts, and this really wide v-neck really accentuated that. Otherwise, it was both comfortable but eye-grabbing!

THis was a fantastic dress! My only problem was that the zipper on the size 2 was stuck, so I ended up having to wear the 4, which didn't fit me as well. However, i was complimented on the color all night :) Definitely recommend!

This dress is gorgeous! A note about the fit: it is tight. I wear a size 0 usually, and needed Spanx to fit into comfortably into the size 2. Also, the arm holes are cut VERY high up, so if your arms are your trouble spot, I would not recommend this dress as it is going to cut into them. I did not realize that the silk was only around the neckline, which is great in terms of expanding/contracting for different bust sizes. I have a larger chest for my size, and did not find it too revealing--although it is rather low cut. Definitely a show-stopper!

I loved the look of this dress but unfortunately I couldn't fit into the size I ordered and I had gotten two dresses instead of a backup size. Customer service was awesome. The next size up wasn't available but they sent me a new dress that I picked out right away. RTR has the best customer service ever and that's what makes me want to come back & recommend them to friends.

Fit: top cute for smaller bust, waist not as structured as I Like, showed noticeable "curves" I target hide. Pros: great color, would make great vday dress. Thick, winter like material. Cons: fit was ok, maybe better for someone with flatter stomach.

I rented this for my birthday date night with my husband...but when I tried it on, I was a little disappointed. The detail around the bust is gorgeous, and the built-in boning feels secure; however, the rest of the dress was in a material that felt very old-fashioned to me. It felt almost like a thick tweed? Like something a mature woman would wear in the form of a work suit with shoulder pads. So the shape of the dress was flattering and I can tell it's well-made, but the material just didn't feel sexy to me. This would be great for a work event (where cleavage was appropriate), but not so much for a hot date.

The dress is beautiful however it did not fit my body. I normally wear a size 2 and had a size 4 for a back up and it still did not fit properly. The bust on the dress is very small I am a 34 B and found it to be too small. I recommend speaking to a fit specialist before renting this dress to make sure you get the right size.

This was my back-up dress, and I'm happy my primary dress fit, as this was way too small. Normally a 2-4, and could barely get the size 2 over my (narrow) hips, or zip it up. As other reviewers said, neckline is very low (sexy). Go for the larger size on this one.

This is a GORGEOUS dress. I wish so badly that I could wear it. I'm 5'9, 127 lbs, 34B top. I usually wear a 2, sometimes a 4, but a 4 is usually a little baggy. I could barely get this dress on in a 4. I would guess the 8 would have probably fit best. I couldn't even lift my arms it was so tight. So, basically, if you order this beautiful dress, I would definitely advise ordering at least a size up with an extra size up for the back up size. I was so sad I couldn't wear it :(

I spent an extensive amount of time on a chat with a RTR stylist discussing which sizes I should order. Turns out, I should have gone up in size significantly. This dress runs VERY small and tight. If you have any chest at all, you may need to go up in size (1 or 2 sizes bigger). Beautiful dress and fabric, just wish I had gotten better advice given my body measurements. I normally wear a 2/S but with my 34C bust neither the 2 nor the 4 fit.

The arms are too small, otherwise it fit ok. If you have tiny arms, it will work. The bigger size was too large everywhere else.

I rented this dress for a December wedding in AZ. I typically wear a size 0 and the size 2 was a good fit, mostly - so I would definitely say that the dress runs small. While the dress was very pretty, I ended up wearning my back up dress. Here is why: I am not as blessed in the chest area - and frankly, I just didn't look very good in it. The dress was very structured everywhere EXCEPT the chest and it made me look - a really unattractive combination of boobless and inappropriate. What I did have was out - and it didn't look pretty. That said, I do feel like this dress could look great on a different body type - it just wasnt for me.

I didn't even get to wear it because it was so tight. I'm a curvy girl and wear a size 6 and it didn't even come close to fitting around my hips.

This dress is so pretty! I couldn't wear it because the bottom was so tight and the bust area was very loose. I have an hourglass shape and this dress simply didn't fit. That said, the construction and material of this dress is great.

I ordered this dress for a winter charity party. I usually wear a 2 or 4, depending if the fabric has any stretch (size 27 jeans). RTR only had a size 4 for my dates, so I tried it. It fit - but was very tight, and I would have liked to compare the 6. With that said, it is a beautiful dress, and sort of has a Mad Men/Christina Hendricks feel to it. It was a bit much at the bust, so I might recommend for someone size b or smaller. Overall, it was more over the top than I would have wanted, and suggest ordering up in size.

I didn't end up wearing this one, it was too small but I'm sure it would have been wonderful!

This dress fit me very strangely. I was unable to get the arm holes fully over my shoulders, and then the chest part of the dress was too high on my body. Thankfully I had also rented another dress and was able to wear that instead.

This dress looks good on the model but ended up in person looking terrible. The top was pretty stretched out and I I couldn't wear it without being able to see my bra. And the bottom of the dress was too tight. Might be just my body type but I would not recommend this dress.
