I wore this to a weekday event at an embassy and got lots of compliments on it. I liked how it was cut and structured. (Please excuse the boxes in the photo, we attended this event on our moving day)

I wore this dress to a rehearsal dinner. It is very appropriate for Fall. The dress is beautiful and very different, it is guaranteed that no one will have anything like it. I usually wear a 2 in dresses, but opted for the 4 so I had more room to enjoy the dinner. :) The dress is very stiff. It goes in at the waist and out at the hips. I have little curves and this dress gave the illusion of curves. I am 5'9" and the dress hit just below the knees. People kept coming up and complimenting the dress, I would definitely rent again!

True to size! Unlike other designer dresses where you typically have to size up (i.e. Halston!), this runs true to size. I am a 6 or 8 - and wore the 8. (I ordered a 10 too in case it ran small.) Classic sheath cut, very flattering. Structured dress with no slit in the back, a tad tight to sit - but beautiful lines standing up.

This dress is more suited to fall weather with its tweed and leather fabric. It fit like a glove and has a cool, 60s vibe. It gapped a little in the bust near the shoulders but fit perfectly everywhere else.

I used this for a work event. It's not a stunning dress to look at on the hanger - it's really about how it fits. The material is heavy and stiff (I'd think twice before wearing it to a hot summer event) so it's a bit unforgiving. It's meant for someone who goes in at the waist and if you do, then the dress will be flattering and feminine - and win lots of compliments. But if you have hips forget it - and be warned that it is almost impossible to zip and unzip this on your own because of the material and the close fit. But if you are looking for a super stylish dress that is more about form than flaunt, this is a great pick.

The fabric is unexpected...almost rustic and is a good contrast to the leather (like) piping around the neck and the hem. I think its an interesting dress for a non-formal day event, probably more appropriate for fall. This was my first time wearing a Proenza Schouler. I can see the creativity behind it. The form and pattern are definitely visually interesting. I had to get my husband to help with the zipper, since the shape is pretty snug and the fabric a little rough and likely to catch on the zipper. The one minor issue was the fitting around the arms/bust. The size 4 hung a little bit around the armhole. I would wear this with gold accessories like the model.

I wore this to a work event and received tons of compliments. The 6 fit well, probably better than the 8, but I ultimately decided that the fit of the 8 was more appropriate for work. The 8 was large in the chest area, but I was able to secure the arm holes with fashion tape. The fabric is really substantial and holds its shape nicely. It was so stiff that it felt a bit scratchy around the neck and arm holes. I actually got a bit of a rash on my collarbone from it. I think it was made worse because it was a bit large on top. Anyway, this is a gorgeous, sophisticated and unique dress that stands out from a sea of black.

Was "stuck" in this dress for over 2 hours as I tried it on. Zipper would not release between the orange and beige colors in back--very high. I live very, very rural and remotely on horse farm. I called RTR and they were GREAT/WONDERFUL saying I could cut myself out! I even got scissors out and was going to cut along seam. However, this dress is not mine and I could imagine cutting a dress. I drove to Winn-Dixie to ask a "stranger" to help unlock zipper. I did put soap on zipper in anticipation of wearing dress but decided against wearing it in fear of a repeat.

Ran a little generous in the fit. I'd probably go a size down next time. Very comfortable.

I wore this for a talk I was presenting. I was a bit bored with my wardrobe and was not in the mood to shop, so this was a perfect answer. The dress is a bit scratch but fit true to size and was perfect for an after work happy hour or work event. Neat pattern and material got rave reviews.

I really loved the fabric and design of this dress. It's even more pretty in person but I ordered the smallest size (4) and it was too big for me everywhere but the chest/rib-cage area. The fit was a bit strange I have to admit. It's really a shame because it was a pretty dress. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who has an athletic figure with broad shoulders/back. Someone who is long and narrow maybe but keep in mind that only have size 4 and above in this dress. The stylists were great and expressed shipped me another dress so everything was fine :)

I ordered this dress for a dinner party but ended up getting a replacement because it was too tight. I am a size 8 but this dress was cut very small I would have needed to size up.

Ordered a size 6, but it would fit over my hips/backside! I normally wear a 6 dress or 28 jean so was surprised when I couldn't get this on! Order a size up unless you have narrow hips or a small butt!

I wasn't able to wear this dress because it was so small!

This is a beautiful art design, but I don't know that it's a dress to wear unless you happen to be the right size and shape. Because it is so stiff, nothing lies flat. The hips were too big and just stuck out. The armholes were too big and just stuck out. Maybe if I could have this dress altered to fit me, but otherwise, it just didn't look good. Great on the hanger, though!

Great looking dress. Very nice material, well made dress.

I'm lighter on top and curvier on the bottom. This dress in my usual size was too tight in the hips since it is fitted in the hips and non-stretchy. And then it was flawlessly perfect for a few inches around my waist. And then it was strangely too wide at the arm pits. I can imagine for someone with narrow hips and just the right chest/arm shape (whatever that may be), this dress would be phenomenal (based on the wonderful stuff I saw happening around my waist where it fit properly). Consider the stiffer textured rustic cloth it's made out of, the curved lines in the design and excellent craftsmanship gave surprising curves and softness to the dress. But yeah, I was not in the select few who can wear this.

I beyond loved this dress! The material is thick, creating a structured look, and I agree with the other reviews that it is not forgiving. I had to squeeze it over my hips, but when it was on, the 4 fit perfectly. Despite its beauty, it was a little difficult to walk in, again because the material has 0 stretch. At a couple of points during the day, I was walking quickly to a meeting and felt my stride confined by the fabric. All worth it though to be able to wear the dress! I paired it with pointed toe black pumps and burnt orange lipstick, and it was a hit!

I wore this for my church's harvest celebration. I still haven't lost all the baby weight so it was very tight but that was my fault for not ordering a bigger size. The dress was awesome! Thick material.

I ordered a size up (6) based on previous reviews. Unfortunately my normal size (4) wasn't available so I didn't have a backup. The size 6 was HUGE on me and extremely unflattering. I'd definitely go for your normal size and a size down for the backup.
