The dress did run small, usually wear a size 8 but had to wear the size 10. I am a tall person, so the Long was perfect. The dress is very comfortable and I received so many compliments!

I absolutely loved wearing this dress. The colors and patter are stunning, and the fit was perfect for someone who is just a little curvy. I am only 5'3", so it was a tad long, even with heels. But, it fit beautifully, and was so fun to wear.

Like other reviewers said the fit through the waist and hips is tight. The zipper is very small and fabric seemed to get easily caught in it. It took me several tries to get it zipped up. Once on though, it was gorgeous. The seam in the hip made sitting down a little difficult but I just hiked it up a bit to sit and pulled it back down when I stood up. I normally wear a 4 or small in dresses. I followed other's advice and sized up to a 6. I could have probably even done an 8.

It fit great, felt perfect and everyone loved it! I was in the dress for a full day of events and walked the London streets! I am 5'0 and I was not sure about the length but once I tried it and added heels - perfect! I recommend this dress for anyone!!!

Eight long was perfect. I am 5 foot 7 and wore 4 inch heels. If you are taller than 5 foot 6 I would not rent the regular. It barely came to my ankle in bare feet. The zipper was difficult and there is no give in the bodice of the dress but once the zipper finally went up, with a little wiggle, it was great, not too tight.

A formal that comes in a petite?!? Yessss!!! Thank you!! I loved this dress. It fit perfectly in every way. I was excited to see a celebrity in it the following weekend on a red carpet event. Loved it.

The 4R was snug through the hips and bust area. I made it work but would have preferred the 6R ( but was unavailable). It has no stretch so the right size is important. I'm between 4&6 usually and if you are between a size or have hourglass figure, I suggest going a size up.

Wore this for an Alice in Wonderland themed NYE gala. Loved this dress! It was so fun to wear and walk around in with the little bit of the train. I'm short and was worried it would be too long so also ordered a petite size, but the regular was fine with heels. Did drag a little (expected with the mini train) and it got stepped on a few times, but wasn't a big deal. Didn't need to pull it up or adjust it throughout the night. Fully lined and didn't need to wear a bra. Because others mentioned it can be tight on curvy areas, went up a size as recommended and that worked out great. Lots of compliments throughout the evening, felt great, and was sad to send it back.

Wore this for a French themed gala and was extremely comfortable and versatile

I LOVE THIS DRESS!!!!! I got so many compliments on it, I felt like a celebrity! It was comfortable, classy and fabulous! I wore the 8L and it fit perfectly everywhere. I wore 2.5 inch heels with it and it hit just where I was hoping it would. I didn't have to wear a bra and I felt comfortable and supported in the dress. First time using RTR and it was such a great experience! I would totally rent this exact dress again!

Beautiful, stand out gown. Perfect for the art themed gala I attended. The fit was perfect and the material is stiff (no give) and hard to zip. Definitely size up. It was gorgeous and I got compliments all night. I would rent this dress again.

This dress was stunning. I received compliments ALL night long. This was for a black tie event but I wanted something different and colorful. This was perfect. I wore the 6 because the top is a little snug and there is no stretch. The zipper is a little tricky where the folds in the fabric are and there's no top hook so you may need a pair of extra hands to help. It really is stunning in person.

This gown is stunning, the print is like a Monet painting, and the gown fits true to size. The 10L fit me like a glove: for reference, I am 5'8", 155 lbs, and 36C. I ended up wearing a different dress for my black tie gala because there would be a 3-course dinner (e.g. this dress has zero stretch) and there would be dancing (e.g. the train of this dress would get in the way). But I am looking for the right occasion to wear this stunner of a dress! (The only minor negative of this dress is that the hem is not finished; it is simply overlocked, but not turned over and hemmed; my guess is that it is intended to be hemmed to the owner's specific length when purchased; not really noticeable unless you really look at the hem).

This dress is spectacular and will definitely make a statement. The colors are very vivid. The fabric has no give but i wore my regular size although it was a bit tight in the bust area. The long lenght was perfect for me with a small heel

This was a backup dress after my first choice was too short. I didn't have many options 2 days before the event but really am happy with this one and liked it more than my first choice. Overall fit was exactly how I thought. I am 5'4" and had to wear 4" heals w/ the long. The length was right at the ground. I wore this to a winter charity gala. I was worried it would look too summery but it was perfect and the colors looked great.

I rented this dress for the Mayor's Ball in Atlanta and it worked out perfectly. I rented a 2L and it was true to size. I did not realize that the dress had a train until I began to walk. I found myself lifting it up a couple of time, but that was not a problem at all. The dress was very comfortable and easy to move around in. I highly recommend it! Thanks RTR!

This dress was a perfect fit for me and extremely comfortable. It was fitted but not too tight in any area, yet wasn't too loose where it needed to be adjusted throughout the night. If the 2 had been available, I would have probably chosen that as a backup size but I think it would have been too tight, especially in my midsection. It was a perfect length with 3 inch heels as it reached the floor but did not make me trip. It is a very unique dress and I received many compliments.

I'm 5'3" 160lbs and 34DDD and the 12R fit like a glove. The only part that was slightly large was the bust which I was surprised about. I did end up wearing a convertible bra with it. It has the bras strap older on the strap side so no need to worry about your strap slipping down your shoulder. The length was perfect on me with 2 inch heels. I rented the 12R and the 14R was my backup. The 14R also fit but was much looser and MUCH longer, so if you are looking for a more comfortable fit, size up as the material has no stretch. The colors were beautiful and I got several compliments at the gala we attended.

I rented the 2 & the 4, since I usually wear between these sizes. I ended up wearing the 2, and had to zip up with care. Both sizes were tight on my hips (guess I had more here than I thought!), but the 4 had a lot of extra width in the waist and bust. The dress was long; I wore short heels (1-2"), and I'm 5'5". Thus I had to be careful when walking and a couple of times I noticed people standing on the hem.

The 10 wouldn't zip up around my rib cage (which I normally wear in dresses), the 12 was too big up top. I just pinned it and it was great! Absolutely gorgeous dress!!

Pros: Vibrant colors, a beautiful cut, lots of compliments all night long. In a sea of black dresses, it was fun to be wearing a romantic floral print. Cons: The dress is super snug. Be prepared to either size up or get your Spanx on! Other notes: RTR customer service (as always) was wonderful. This was not the dress I originally selected but was, instead, a replacement for my top choice that became unavailable at the last moment. I really appreciate all of the communication from the RTR team. Finally, please note that this dress STUNK. I was taken aback upon opening the bag by the smell. Can RTR do anything about dress odor?

Such a fun and beautiful dress! Nice heavy material that wasn't too hot but felt rich. Vibrant colors. I'm 5'3" and wore 3 inch heels and the length was perfect. Little train in the back that I held up outside. If you're a true pear like me then size up because there is no stretch. I really needed a 10 for my hips but the top part would've been way too big. I was able to squeeze into an 8 and even then the top was just a tad big. It was a little uncomfortable to sit in, but manageable.

True to size

This was actually my backup dress. My original dress pick did not have my backup size so they sent the original dress in a size 12R, plus two of my backup dress choice in a size 10R and 12R. I actually loved the colors and design more and the size 12R fit perfectly. Although the zipper was a bit of a pain. I tied a japanese obi belt, added my fan headdress, accessories and makeup and attended the wonderful annual Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball in Los Angeles at the Millinium Biltmore Hotel. The colors on the dress were beautiful and it was very well made and lined. The skirt was a bit long that I kind of stepped on it a bit but I just picked them i[ and it gave it a great flare effect. Everyone that attended loved the dress as well. I wish I could keep it!

Great fit

It was hard to zip up past the folded material portion but once it zipped, there was slight excess in loose material by my chest. The 4 fit perfectly, almost too tight, especially around my armpit. I'm glad I wore the 6R because when I sat down to eat, I wasn't dying for air. Even with heels the dress was long because you have a train, and I've had a few people including myself step on it. I loved the dress, my boyfriend loved the dress, and I'd purchase it if I could. It's extremely comfortable, doesn't scratch, and isn't heavy. Perfect summer formal.

This dress is even prettier in person. It is so comfortable and the fit is great. It may run a tad snug in the hip area but other than that it is great. The fabric was thick and supportive enough that a bra wasn't needed. The train was lovely and didn't pose any problem with the length.

Only complaint would be the zipper was a little difficult

I loved this dress! It fits true to size, if anything, very very slightly big, and the length was exactly perfect for me with very high heels (although I worried about the tiny "train" and length before receiving, it was great!). The bust was a bit big (I'm 34b) but an extra padded bra fixed that. Honestly, by the end of the night, I was tired of all of the people coming up to me to compliment the dress. It is pretty, fun and formal, without showing too much skin and so easy to wear. A great rental because people definitely notice and remember this dress and I probably wouldn't want to wear it again. I received the dress on time.

I loved this dress, it was perfect for my formal event. Beautiful colors and it fit great. The hip section fit extremely snug I was very happy I ordered a size larger as other reviews mentioned. I'm 5' 7" and the back up size 2 long was way too long.

6L was just a bit long in heels- the back seemed to drag just a little like a train. So many compliments, I was constantly being stopped and asked about the dress.

This was a backup dress I chose after both sizes of my original dress became unavailable. I am so glad that I was able to chose this dress. It was absolutely perfect for my black tie event. I am usually a size 4 which I did receive but was just a little tight in the rear area for my liking. The 6 fit like a dream and was the perfect amount of dressy. The small train is absolutely beautiful and flowy. Don't hesitate to order this dress!

This was very firm fitting but flattering. If you are thick in the middle like me it still fit like a glove. It totally made my night to feel so glamorous!

Worn for a military ball, got plenty of compliments. The pattern is truly stunning in-person. Bright colors make it a little "flashy," but it's still very classy. The mermaid-esque bottom is surprisingly flattering, as is the ruching. I did have some issues with gaping near the armpits, but it was manageable. I will say that I am very large-chested (32FF with a size 8/10 otherwise...), and this fit surprisingly well!!! So, large-busted ladies rejoice! But if you're particularly small-busted for your size, you may need to have some filler... Additionally, I'm quite tall, and the 10-Long was basically the perfect length (if anything, perhaps a teeeeensy bit short.) This dress really does come down to the wonderful pattern! Fellow floral lovers rejoice. :)

I received this as a back-up gown after my first dress was too big. So glad the first one didn't fit because this one was a show stopper! The colors are vibrant and the material is extremely classy. It will be tighter in the hips/butt area and looser on top if you are pear-shaped like me. The dress was shorter than I was expecting, but it allowed me to wear flats! Would absolutely rent again!

This dress was gorgeous, and all night people were stopping me to say how much they loved it. I rented the 8L because the 8R was unavailable, and the fit was perfect, but I did have to use some hem tape to make sure I could walk in it. This actually gave the dress a bit of a train in the back which looked very nice.
