Fit me far too snugly in the shoulders/armpits, but I do have broader shoulders. The hip area did not fit tightly enough - was pretty loose.

I rented this dress to wear as a speaker at a professional conference. It was the perfect coverage and length, but still very feminine because of the perfect cut of the dress. Color amazing! Stand out but not flashy deep blue. Perfect outfit for work event with a short black blazer on top. We went to a country club dinner that evening and I couldn't bear not to keep wearing the dress! Ladylike and very feminine with a pair of nude heels and pearls. This truly is a "day to night Barbie" dress! I will definitely rent it again. Fits very snugly.

I have curves and this dress fit them perfectly! It is a heavier fabric but rather comfy at the same time. The peplum does not look exactly like the picture of the model--it's a bit underwhelming--but it doesn't matter; I got like a thousand complements and wished this dress held a permanent spot in my closet!

I absolutely loved this dress! The deep blue color was gorgeous, the fit was spectacular, and the fabric had the perfect amount of stretch. Unfortunately, this was my back up dress, so I didn't wear it, but I hope to find an excuse to rent it again!

I really liked this dress, the material was so nice. Unfortunately the Medium was too tight on me and wouldn't zip up all the way so I was unable to wear it. If they had it in a large I would definitely order this dress again!

Loved the dress and received many compliments. It's a bit challenging to get on and longer skirt (hit me about an inch below knee and i am 5'7) can make it awkward to walk long distances. Usually wear size 4 dress and medium worked well for me. The color is absolutely beautiful.

This color is a darker but obvious BLUE. It's not bright and flashy. The fabric is heavy, sturdy, and has some stretch. Covers the imperfections (without correcting hose) and hugs all your curves to perfection. It looked terribly long on the hanger (I'm 5'2") but when I put it on, the hem fell just below my knees and looked very sharp. Wore with black heels and my hair up in a french twist.

Glad I got 2 sizes sent. Ended up going up a size because the arm holes were too small. Gits like a bandage dress.

kind of long and hard to take large steps in

I rented this as a backup option/ 2nd dress for a wedding weekend at the cape. The dress is gorgeous, but more appropriate for a business dinner or meeting than a beach wedding. The fabric is very thick and stretchy so it;s good for not showing any lumps or bumps and is sexy while not being too revealing. When I put it on, my husband asked me if I was going to a meeting, not the response you want. However, the color is gorgeous and the fit is beautiful. I am really tall and this came to the same length as on the model.

This is a great looking dress, the color is extremely vibrant. Received lots of compliments throughout the night. It has incredible structure and isn't very forgiving. It fit me well everywhere, except the arms, where it was a bit tight - but I am busty with broad shoulders.

I rented this dress for a summer wedding, and ended up wearing the alternate dress that the RTR stylist chose for me. The Independent Woman dress is perfect for any indoor wedding or corporate event; however, the fabric is definitely too thick for an outdoor daytime event scheduled during the hottest days of summer. Also be aware that the length does not necessarily fall just below the knee as shown on the model - I am 5'7", 115" lbs (34/25/35), long-waisted, and have a 32" inseam. The dress in S fit me perfectly. Unfortunately, it also fell right at the widest point of my calves, which resulted in a bottom-heavy, matronly look on me, per friends who helped me make my final decision. The dress would be absolutely stunning on someone with legs defining a longer inseam, or someone with very small ankles.

Fabric is stretchy, and flattering, but the armholes are not right. Not very "breathable". Cool looking dress, but I returned it right away due to tightness at the armholes.

I thought this dress was gorgeous, but it did not fit like it did on the model. I'm 5'7 and the dress was far below my knee, making it look awkward. It also was incredibly tight along the arm pits. The material was heavy and peplum did not stand out as I thought it would. Shame it looks so pretty

I didn't end up wearing this. I thought it would be great for work but first, the fabric is so heavy and thick -- not good for summer weather. Second, it's way longer than I expected -- this should be worn by tall women with long legs.

I originally ordered another dress for a work charity event, but it was on back order and went with this last minute. I am so happy I did! The dress was tight and tough to get on, but it was very flattering and slimming. I wore it to a work charity event for a sports team, and an athlete's very famous wife wore the same thing.
