I ordered this dress for a wedding and based on the reviews, I would have liked to have gotten a medium, but only a small was available for my date. I was able to squeeze into the small and it looked great, but I definitely would have been more comfortable in a medium.

Dress is VERY fitted but does not look inappropriately skin tight. It did take two people to get the zipper up but fit like a glove.

Definitely runs small but I was lucky to have a friend help zip. It took two of us and some pulling. Was complimented all night and it's a beautiful cut. Tight, but long enough to not be too revealing at all. Loved it.

I love this dress! Did not want to return it! I wore it to a wedding in Florida and it was the perfect dress for the occasion. It fit perfectly and was so comfortable to wear all night! The color is beautiful and the back of this dress definitely makes you standout! My rent the runway experience was awesome and I will for sure be a return customer! Best Customer Service!!!

I originally ordered a medium (small as backup) in this dress because I read the reviews online that it ran super small. IT DOES! When RTR called to tell me that the previous user damaged the M and they couldn't sent it to me I was very disappointed. They sent me another beautiful dress by the same designer and similar style for free and were very apologetic and accommodating. I looked at the S and thought there is NO WAY that this will fit! So I tried the M of the other style and wasn't completely satisfied as the bust was fairly large, but was prepared to pin and wear it anyway. My date for the night convinced me to try the small - and with much effort and thanks to some very stretchy fabric, we did get the thing zipped and it looked FABULOUS!!!!!! I received compliments from so many people that night! It was a beautiful dress and I am so happy with my first RTR experience. I paired this with Nichole Miller earrings and bracelet, and a Rebecca Minkoff clutch that were all to die for. AMAZING NIGHT!

Like the other reviews, I would say this runs small. I usually wear a 4 and the medium was tight, but once it was on, it looked fabulous! Couldn't wear a bra and had to do a little taping so that it didn't gap along the side. Wrinkles very easily despite being a heavy stretch fabric. I had to travel with it and had to spend some time in the hotel ironing it.

Loved this dress! Definetely a tighter fit. I got the medium. Nervous b/c of reviews of how tight the fit is and I do have hips. I usually wear a size 6 in most everything. I'm 5'9. 130 lbs. 34C. Had to suck it in & got help zipping it up, but once on, it fit like a glove & was SO comfortable. Tons of compliments on this dress. Highly reccommend this dress. Super comfy & stretchy and did not feel tight at all. Spanxlike all built into one awesome dress. Great Color.

This dress does run small, but I loved it! I fit into the medium, its stretchy. The smallest part is around the waist. There is an exposed zipper on the side that you don't see in the photos, which makes it a little more tredny. Got loads of compliments. the back part gives it a little flare on your basic one shoulder cut which i usually get bored of. the dress is gorgeous and flattering.

This dress with out a dour runs small. Thankfully I was able to to get in this dress with the help of a friend lol. Every dress I have ever purchased has been a size 0 or XS I am 118lbs and 5'7". But once I got the dress zippered it for like a glove, I received complements from everyone from my boyfriend to random strangers! Loved the dress make sure to order back up size just in case.

I rented this dress for a formal birthday dinner. Loved it! I expected it to run small based on some of the reviews, and it did, although not as much as I was expecting. I am a 4 or occasionally a 6, and the M worked well. The L was not available as a back up size so I was worried, but it all worked out--I think the L would have been too big as this is meant to be a form fitting dress. It was tough to zip up, but as some of the other reviews mention it will zip up just fine with some help. My boyfriend helped zip me up, although I couldn't wear a bra with it. If you are bigger than a C or a D you may not be able to wear a bra either. I was comfortable with this though because there was enough material and detail around the chest that you absolutely couldn't tell. The only other reason I am giving this 4 and not 5 stars is because some of the pleats didn't fall quite how I wanted them to--but this was straight out of the bag and to be honest I didn't take the time to steam or iron (and now I wish I had at least steamed the bottom from the looks of it!) Overall I was happy, thought the fit was flattering, and the color was beautiful (looks a little darker in my pic because of the lighting). Definitely recommend!

The dress is tight so definitely rent the size up. The material is thick and very flattering. All night long I received compliments on how beautiful my dress was and where did I get it!

The dress had the edgy sharp look and color I wanted for a late summer semi-formal evening wedding. However I found the bust awkward fitting and the zipper was hard to zip up and down. The was piping on the side of the dress to keep the structure that bugged me all night. However, it photographed well and was very stylish. Maybe it would fit another shape woman better. I can't really say who that would be but someone with a smaller chest (width).

A few days before my rental was supposed to arrive I got the bad news that the size M "had been damaged by a previous renter". RTR was great about offering to send me another dress, but I couldn't find anything I liked as much as this one. I kept my fingers crossed that the S would fit, as after reading other reviews I was a little nervous that it runs too small. Although I needed a hand holding the zipper together to zip it up, once it was on there was plenty of stretch and it ended up being really comfortable for the whole night. The dress needed to be steamed so that all the ruching and pleats laid flat, but that was no problem. Overall this was a really beautiful dress and I might even rent the the same dress in red for a holiday event. It made me feel classy and dressed up, but still sexy.

This is a beautiful dress in a high quality fabric. Preen runs small, so make sure to order up a size. I actually ordered this in the violet color as well, but ended up wearing this sky blue shade. I normally wear a size 0-2 in American designers, and thought I would be okay in a Medium, but even so I was quite constricted all night! I still had no trouble dancing in this dress, it is a great length for weddings. The top is such that it is a great fit for those of all bust sizes. The zipper comes up the side, and can be a struggle to get it up the rib cage. All in all, as long as the size is right, a great dress for a formal event!

I have worn some gorgeous dresses - Herve Leger, Vera Wang, etc. - but I've never received quite as many compliments as I did when I wore this dress. I agree with some others, it does run small, but once on it fits comfortably like a glove. I wore this to a wedding and a good friend of mine told me it was one of the most beautiful dresses he had seen - period. The dress has a really beautiful shape and colour in person, and I love that the design is sexy yet a little different and unique at the same time. Definitely get this dress, but size up.

I have rented this dress twice for two different weddings, in two different colors. It is beautiful, but does require two people to get into! It is a very snug fit, but still comfortable to wear.

Gorgeous dress, gorgeous color, super sexy but not too revealing. I wish I could keep this dress. I got so many compliments on it & I felt (and looked) like a million bucks. It is very form fitting, yet the material has some stretch/give. After reading the other reviews, I decided to get it in M and get the L as backup. The website said the L was unavailable, but when I received the package, they sent the L instead of the M. BUT it ended up being a good thing. The L was very formfitting. Not sure I would have been able to zip the M as it is superfitted. The M would probably not work for you if you are large chested. I am small chested & the L fit perfectly.

The reviews are correct in regard to the dress running small. I am 5'7" 120lbs and I fit perfectly into the medium (I normally wear a small). The dress is meant to be snug and hug your body so you may need assistance when zipping the dress. Also the picture of the dress looks like the color is sky blue when it is actually closer to an aqua color. That being said this dress is BEAUTFUL!!! I felt stunning all night long. I had so many people compliment me on the dress...my husband loved it as well!!

I weigh 113 pounds yet was unable to zip up the small. The medium was not flattering at all, and really hid my shape. I was unable to wear this dress, which was incredibly disappointing since it was my first "Rent the Runway" experience! The reviews were right!

very unique blue color, almost like a sea blue. Not as pictured but still very pretty. I'm 5'6" and 115 lbs and could not get the small to zip. Needed help zipping Med. but was comfotable wearing. order at least one size up. Can not wear a bra but with pleating it was OK. Did get compliments!

This dress is beautiful! Perfect for a wedding. The color is stunning ! Like others stated in their reviews, very difficult to zip up without assistance... The zipper is on the side and is silver and visible... A small was tight for me, but it definitely hugged the right areas when it was on. On another note, I must say the customer service with rent the runway is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Every email was responded to within hours and every phone interaction was pleasant and any question or issue I had was resolved. Not only was this dress amazing, I'd rent again just because the customer service is THAT GOOD!! Thank you RTR!!!

I got this dress as a back up because my original dress wasn't available in the color and size that I wanted. It turned out to be too large so I didn't wear it but the staff was super helpful and responded quickly to e-mails and was very friendly over the phone as well. RTR has the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with.

This is a tight fitting dress, but very flattering.

I rented this for a wedding and it was perfect! I had so many compliments on the color, the style, the fit. The color is a bit more of a rich aqua. The material is thick and strechy enough that you don't really need Spanx - you definitely feel tightly packed in this dress, but not in an uncomfortable way. Definitely too low in the back to wear a strapless bra. The only complaint is was the right side of the top (the "shoulder" side) didn't really lay flat, so if you bent the right way you had a serious threat of a wardrobe malfunction. I ended up using some Hollywood fashion tape on each side of the top.

People are not messing around when they say this dress runs small. I'm 5'4 and 105 pounds and I needed help zipping a medium. I normally wear a size 0 or 2. That said, it's a really pretty dress and I felt very glam in it!

This was for a wedding. I ordered a small and medium, but for some reason received a small and a large. The RTR staff was incredibly helpful and gave me a credit since I truly needed the medium. This dress runs VERY small. I am always a size 0 or 2, and while I fit in the small after a huge struggle (and zipped my side into the zipper - OW!), I was afraid to move for fear of breaking the dress. This was my first choice but I liked my second choice much better and ended up wearing that (Shoshanna Acacia Flames Dress Size: 0). This dress has two layers, and the sheer gauzy top layer was very cute... until you hit the hemline. I wish I took a picture of it to share with everyone. Basically, the top gauzy layer hangs kind of long but you can't really style it to look nice. I couldn't get it to lay flat, so it looked cheap! Unsure if it was just my body type that threw the dress off but I thought the top bust stitching was kind of high so I had to pull my boobs up into it.

Amazing dress, beautiful color but runs small. I ordered a Medium and received a Large....didn't notice the size until the day of my event (and that was more than 24 hrs after i received the dress). Large fit fine and was a bit loose in the hips. Got a lot of compliments on the dress.

I am normally a 2 dress size and it took two of us to zip up the dress (small). Once I got the dress on, the shoulder didn't sit right on my chest. Even with fashion tape, it didn't stay put. Gorgeous color though.

It is an absolutely beautiful dress, but I could not get it comfortably zipped. I was not able to wear it. I should have spent more time reading the reviews, because others seemed to have similar issues with the sizing. I normally wear a size 4 dress, so I thought that a medium would work. In reality, the medium is really made for a size 0 or 2. Trying this dress on is not for the faint of heart. If you order it, I would definitely suggest going one or 2 sizes up. If you can get it zipped up, I am sure that you will look and feel amazing in this dress - because it really is stunning. However, the super small cut will make getting a proper fit challenging.

I am a size 0 and the S size was too small could not even zipper up the dress. I tried on the M size and I was ok on the top but the bottom portion of the dress was too big. The color is light light blue and not as dark as on the web site.

I basically wasted $200 renting this dress. I'm athletic build, but the size & fit reads "True to size." So WRONG! I got a medium and the dress wouldn't go past my waste. I'm not hippy at all so I thought the only area I would run into trouble was around my chest where I'm widest. Unless you are a stick figure I woud not suggest this dress at all.

I was so excited to get this dress only to be disappointed that I couldn't wear it. This dress runs small. If you normally wear a S you need to get this dress in a M. I'm only 5.5, 130 lbs and a 34B.

I rented 2 dresses for myself and my daughter by this designer. This one and a white one. I am a 6 or an 8 and rented the medium and could not even get my thigh into the dress. So tiny. Both dresses went right back. I understand that this designer is popular but....beware, unless you are a 0 or a 2 this dress will not flatter.

It runs very small. I usually wear 2 or 4 , but even large size for this dress was very small.
