It was form fitting but felt true to size. The material was thicker but stretched nicely.

Absolutely timeless and classy! Got tons of compliments all night. The black part of the dress has a little stretch, but it fit pretty true to size. I'm 5'4, and wore a 3 inch heel, and it was perfect.

The dress was very beautiful and I wasn't sure about the sleeves but it photographs so well! The dress is very fitted but was very comfortable and the sleeves were not restricting at all due to the cut. Will definitely rent again for a formal occasion!

While it looks like just a simple black dress, the pictures don't do it justice. Two things help it stand out - 1) the shoulders are beautifully detailed with sequins, not cheap or costume-y, just a touch of glamour and 2) the fabric is a knit with a bit of give, meaning it really hugs curves without being too revealing. Moreover, it's so simple. Due to the shoulders, I didn't need much in the way of jewellery (just some simple earrings), I wore a regular bra, and the stretchy fabric meant it was easy to move in. The only things to note is that the dress does run small (so I'd order your regular size and the size up) and, due to the way the shoulders fit, I didn't have full motion in my arms (I still had a lot of motion, but couldn't raise them over my head). All in all, very happy with it for a black tie optional wedding.

This was a last minute order after my original dress never made it because of a snow storm. This dress was easy to wear, and perfect for a professional formal dinner. The sleeves add some flair to a classic black dress. I wear a 2 or 4. The 4 fit well, though it was a little long. Heels and some hem tape fixed that problem in a pinch. I recommend this dress!

I loved this dress! I usually wear size 8, but after reading reviews i decided to order a 10 and 12. I wore the size 12. Im tall and the long was just off the ground in heels. The dress is form fitting but flattering and very comfortable.

I wore this dress to a black tie gala and it was absolutely perfect. I got a ton of compliments on the fun sequin cap sleeves and it fit like a glove, which gave it a sexier look while still remaining classy. The seams on the front of the dress were really figure flattering and the bottom wasnt too long. Would rent this again!!

I typically wear a size 8/10 but the 12 long was perfect so I'd say the dress runs small. This was actually my back up but it for so beautifully, I wore this dress. The long was perfect with heels, I'm 5'7". I got many compliments!

Classic, classic, classic. This style is nothing short of that! The style does run small so I would recommend sizing up if you're in between sizes. The gown is fitted throughout the bust, hips, and waist, but still stays trendy with the high slit in the front. This definitely helps with moving around and staying in comfort! This style would likely work best for A to C cups and at 5'6, the style was about 3 inches off the ground with flats. If you are more petite, nothing a little temporary hem tape can't fix! You just know this gown will never go out of style so rent it with confidence!

This gown was all class!! I LOVE this gown. The sequined shoulders were my favorite part. It did run a bit small, and would highly recommend sizing up. (Fit equally small through the bust, hips, and waist) Although it did run small, the fabric has a ton of stretch. The gown was super comfortable, and a regular bra could be worn. Spanx might work best just to hide any panty lines. The gown was shorter than anticipated, and was a bit too short for my personal preference. This would be ideal for women 5'7 or under!

Seemed a bit tighter than expected around hip area to the point where I felt a bit restricted with movement. This was my backup dress which I did not end up wearing to the event but if I had had to I would have been happy

This dress was stunning. I was a little nervous, because it runs small and getting the zipper up without my husbands help would have been a challenge.

I wore this for a formal wedding and it was a fantastic rental. The seams and cut of the dress are extremely flattering and the material is thick enough to hide lines from a bra or shapewear, as well as adding some warmth. You do need to stand up straight or the sleeves tended look a little big/awkward, since they aren't sewn all the way around. As others have said, the dress is very fitted does run small - I am normally a 4 and the 8 was the most comfortable. I am 5'8" and the long JUST met the ground in 3" heels - it looked like it was custom hemmed! I would recommend for any event where you want to look elegant and understated.

The fit and color are great classics and the sleeves add something special. The fit itself runs small, I usually wear a size 2R or 4R and had to go up to a size 6R.

I just gave birth 1.5 months ago and am normally a size 0. Got this dress in only 1 size (0) bc they didn't have a 2. I luckily wore a different dress to the party I was attending but I couldn't zip near my boobs (breastfeeding). It was absolutely gorgeous though and will be getting both sizes for my friends wedding in a month. Highly recommend!

This dress is fabulous! I wore it to a black tie event and received compliments all evening. I read the reviews about how this dress 'fit like a glove' and originally thought I'd order my normal sizes (4&6). After reading the reviews, my friend suggested I order up a size and she was right. I wore an 8 and it fit perfectly (like a glove). The slit up the middle was a little different and it did worry me at first. It was never an issue until the after party where we sat on tall chairs. The slit was still cut low enough that I was able to feel comfortable with the dress falling on either side.

I was so skeptical about renting this dress. I am very short and skinny. I weight 114 lbs and my height is 5'2. The size 0 was perfect! I got so many compliments because of the dress.

This was my back up dress. Normally I wear a size 8 but this was too snug. The cap sleeve is also not a full sleeve--no underarm coverage. If it hadn't been a bit tight I would have worn it to my black tie event as it is a very pretty dress and the fabric is comfy.

I LOVED this dress. I am 5'9.5" 145 lbs and wear an 8 or 10 in dresses. I wore the 10L in this dress. It was fitted, but because of the fabric (non-stretchy), it held me in and worked. I wore 3.5" heels and the length was great. The best thing about this dress is that you can wear a regular bra and spanx with it! The slit came up just the right amount in front - comfortable for walking and sitting, but low enough to not show undergarments! I recommend a black bra because the armholes are big; for some reason the sleeves were somewhat "flutter sleeves" and while pretty, they did show some of the armhole if I raised my arms. This dress is a great choice if you want something classy and elegant but conservative. (I wore this to a military function and needed to be understated.) I would rent this again and would buy it if I could! Gorgeous dress.

I rented this for a work event and absolutely loved it. I was looking for something appropriate to wear in front of coworkers and this dress fit the bill. It is beautiful, well-made and conservative enough for more formal occasions without being boring. The sleeves are beaded and also have pearls (!) which really added to the flair. It ran a bit small, I'm usually a 2-4 and lean toward a 4 with more fitted items. I wore a 6 for this and it was perfect. It will probably be a bit short for taller ladies, I'm 5'4" and the length was perfect with 3 inch heels. Tons of compliments and my favorite of all the things I've rented. Definitely a winner!

Ran a bit small. I'm usually a 4 or six in dresses. This was a six and was snug. Material is taut and not very forgiving. But the dress is very flattering and the slit is subtle when standing still. Easy to walk in. Tee shirt cut around neck line and sleeves means you can wear a regular bra under this dress. Would definitely recommend!

This dress is beautiful and very classy, but I only sized up one size on my first order--I should've sized up two sizes! I am normally a 2 in this style of dress, but couldn't even get the 4 zipped! Rent the Runway was wonderful though and sent me a replacement for my replacement! I'm 4 months pregnant and it has been very difficult to figure out my sizing right now. Thank goodness for Rent the Runway!

It was a pretty dress but it did not fit my curvy frame well. It was a backup dress so thankfully it was ok that it didn't fit well. The sleeves were very pretty but would be better on a more athletic build.
