This was actually my back-up dress for a formal event, but my friends liked it better than my main choice. The dress draped so beautifully, and the slit and v-neck added a sexy but classy vibe. Although it was a simple black dress, I got tons of compliments throughout the evening. My only complaint was that the hem was visibly frayed when I opened the package, but this was unnoticeable once I put the dress on.

The fit was perfect and the fabric's silk was soft and flowing as i walked.

This dress was beautiful! Very simple but classy. I got compliments. I felt comfortable all night. Im 5'7" about 140lbs and the 4R fit perfect! I wore 2-3 inch black heels. Loved the slit, it was kinda short when sitting, but easy enough to drape the sides of the dress over. This was my second choice for a dress, but ended up wearing it, so glad I added this one too! Loved it!

This dress was perfection for my body type. It draped beautifully. I added a sparkly belt to cinch in my waist a bit. The dress was a little ragged at the hem, will probably be retired soon. But, great for a formal event.

Beautiful fabric and fit! I ordered 10R because the 10 P was not available, but I am so glad I did. I am 5'4" and with a 3" heel it was just right. I am a curvy girl with an hour-glass figure. The dress is roomy at the top but the cut and fall of the silk gives just the right look, fits just right at the hip. You can wear a regular bra with it which for me was a huge plus.

This was a replacement dress sent and received last minute. It was not anywhere near what I originally wanted (which was undeliverable due to delays, and my backups were ridiculously tight). But had I known how perfect this dress would turn out, it would have been my A-1 choice! First, it's lighter than air and incredibly easy to wear. I danced ALL night without adjusting a thing. And you can go in a regular bra in this, no problem. Second, it's so elegant: the drapy design and surplice bodice looked so incredibly posh and effortless, and the slit in the skirt added a little sexiness. Very Grecian looking! Third, it's SO forgiving: it hides bumps and bulges easily. I dressed it up with super dangly, sparkly statement earrings and a bold bangle. As for sizing, I'd ordered up on my emergency replacement because I had a string of bad-luck ordering my true size (10), but you really don't need to with this. it runs a little large and is cut loose. I will absolutely order this again! Love!

I ordered a 10 and a 12. They both fit however the slit in the skirt of the 10 was harder to manage. There was a convenient snap in the top which helped keep the top together. The dress was a little bit long, but with a pair of heels it was fine. The dress was gorgeous and I felt quite glamorous all evening.

Fit was very true to size. Very comfortable. Loved the slit. Honestly not one bad comment.

Rented this for a formal NYE wedding and couldn't be happier with my choice. It was so comfortable and effortless to wear. Sexy and classy without being trashy. Hides a multitude of sins and you can wear you shape wear underneath it! Add a few blingy accessories and a great pair of heels and you are done!

Overall fit of the dress was great - true to size. Needed to wear a deep plunging strapless bra. Also need to wear 2 inch heels or higher otherwise the dress drags on the floor. The leg opening in front is just sexy enough - not too much - hits slightly above the knee. Needed to wear loud jewelry because the dress is pretty simple. Very comfortable dress and easy to move in.

This dress is beautiful, but almost as important.... it was so comfortable! This dress drapes beautifully and feels good on. I was able to wear a "normal" bra and did not need Spanx with it. We attend this event every year and ordinarily by the end of the evening I just can't wait to get out of the dress and put on comfy clothes - I did not feel that way this time. Beautiful to wear but as comfy as yoga pants! The only reason 4 stars instead of 5 was because the lining of the dress needed a heavy shot of Static Guard in order for it to hang properly. I like this dress so much I checked to see if I could buy it!

This dress fit true to size. The length was long so did require that I wear a pretty tall heel. I did have to keep an eye on the neckline to ensure it wasn't too revealing, but all and all this was a great fit. It was comfortable and you could wear a regular bra with it. I did cross my straps in the back to be sure they didn't show, but it worked great! Nice black dress.

I rented this dress for a black tie gala I was working. I am usually a 6, which RTR did not have in this dress, so I rented the 4 and 8 petite. I am glad I got the 4, which was just right - the 8 was far too big! The 4 still was too big on top - I had to pin it so that my cleavage wouldn't be gaping. The dress was also still a little long despite being petite (I am 5'1, and wore 2/2.5" heels) Otherwise, it was comfortable and fun to wear.

This was one of the few rentals that appealed to me which could be worn with a regular bra. I wasn't going to a formal event feeling uncomfortable with a strapless bra falling down all night for my 32DDDs It was very simple and not too plunging for me. It fit comfortably with the draped waist. I probably could've gone down a size.

This did the job. It didn't wow me but it fits great, doesn't require funny underwear, you can dress it up with whatever jewelry or accessories you want for a classic look. I layered with a tuxedo jacket and some jewels.

Super comfortable dress. I am normally a size 6 and the size 4 fit perfectly. I also have a small post baby bump and the dress hid that bump very well. I was able to nurse my baby easily from the dress. The slit on the dress is pretty high, which I was very self conscious about. Overall, I would rent this dress again.

I ended up wearing another dress for my occasion, but I love this dress. I am thin with a stomach. It hid it well and was extremely flattering. Not sure this is black tie appropriate. I guess it could be if it's a more laid back black tie with dressier accessories. I'm in between a 0 and 2 and the 0 fit perfectly.

Looooved the fabric of this dress, very lux and beautiful loose fit. Made me feel like Meghan Markle! Unfortunately the dress was too big so I'm glad it was my back up option.

Hides all imperfections

Very flattering and comfortable. Although there is a high left leg slit, the cut is so that it does not reveal too much when seated. I will rent again. Fit note... I am 5'9" and wore with 3+" heels and it still dragged on the ground an inch. May be too long for some.

Rented this dress for a wedding. It was so comfortable, flattering, and gorgeous! The leg slit is perfect, a little something without being too revealing. I was able to wear a regular bra (I crossed the straps in the back). The dress is slimming and comfortable. I'm 5'4 and wore 4 inch heels and it was just about the perfect length, just a tiny bit long so I had to be careful.

This was supposed to be backup for a dress that didn't work out. I called and the stylist assured me that even though it was 2 sizes smaller, I'd be okay because it was so oversized. The top fit nicely, the bottom could barely fit around my booty. (I'm broad shoulders/ribcage but small breast, narrow waist and full bumm). I was sad it didn't work out. I ended up not having a real nice dress for my event and just wore one I already had from 10+ years ago from a wedding I attended.

Black looks great on everyone, right? Alas, if your body is not described as athletic (I like to call myself 'pillowy') this dress won't hang on you as it does in the pictures. I'm sure this looks great if you're a Jennifer Lawrence or a Lupita Nyong'o -- but if you're more Jennifer Hudson or Ashley Graham, this is not the dress for you.

Normally wear a 6, but after reading reviews selected the 4 as my backup size. Glad I did. Only issue with the dress was the length. I am 5'4" and wore heels and had to keep lifting the dress so I wouldn't step on it.

This dress is nice. I would suggest fitting to what half of your body is bigger. The neckline at times is "plunging" and the slit in the front is high.

Fit was true to size except the top ran big. I ended up having to pin the sides to my bra so it wouldn't be seen. Also has a pretty high slit in the side.

I'm 5'8" and found this to be a bit long even with heels. I wasn't able to dance because of the extra length. I recommend getting a R instead of L unless you're much taller than me.

The comfy and very pretty drape of the fabric made the dress appealing. However, the slit in the front of the dress hangs strangely. I could never get the fabric to lay correctly. The slit is prominent and does not manage easily.

I didn't end up wearing this dress but it fit me in the chest which is usually a problem for me but it was so tight in the hips that the slit was more exposed than I'd prefer. So maybe not the best if you're more hippy.

I rented this dress for my best friend's birthday party, as it was "good for pear shape" and the price point was amazing... i am a true size 12, and this dress was laughable on me. I honestly thought i put it on wrong TWICE because the slit was so high, you would have seen all my secrets. I am hippy, and this dress is supposed to hug those curves, but my curves were too much, and it made this weird gap in the slit/bottom half of the dress. I showed my husband and he asked "where the other half of the dress was". If you are hippy, i don't recommend you attempt this one. or size up at least 2 sizes. The top was gorgeous, and i am bummed this didn't work out. It looks gorgeous on other gals.

Runs small...hard to get the slot to line up if it's narrow in the hips!

I rented a size 8P for a black tie optional wedding. I am 5'3" and typically wear a size 8. The armholes were large as stated in other reviews. The waist and lower section of the dress had a nice fit. The length, with a 1 inch heel, was perfect. However the top did not work at all. There was too much fabric which made the dress look too big for me. I ended up not wearing it. If you are short waisted, this is not a good dress for you.

The dress was beautiful, but I was disappointed that I couldn't make it work. No amount of fashion tape could secure the gaping bust. Definitely not made for someone with a small chest. I mistakenly ordered a size up as my extra, rather than sizing down. In addition to it being far too spacious, it was long, even with the 3" heels I was planning on wearing.

I rented this and ended up not wearing it. It looked lose and comfy, but it was lose and comfy in the wrong places. Made me look sloppy.
