My favorite rental of all time!

It is a large and flowy dress, and I love it. I wore it several times--to work, to dinner, and as a foundation for my Zoya the Destroyer GLOW costume. I love the Victorian neckline and gold star buttons. Perfection!

I absolutely adore the unique overall aesthetic and attention to detail that this Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini dress exudes. The juxtaposition between fabrics and fit gives this shift dress a balance of sophistication and youthful whimsy. Running true to size with a looser midsection, I recommend choosing your true size as the primary size and one size up as your backup size. Any style of bra and cup size will work with this dress. In terms of length, at 5’9”, I found the hem to hit my mid-thigh area. Overall, I love how every unique element of the design is added with thought and purpose. By embellishing the black lace with star-shaped buttons, it is evident that the designer intended to create a prominent dual aesthetic. The artistry behind the garment not only reflects the intricacies of the various design features, but also the complexities behind the woman who wears it.

Different style but lots of fun!

The fit was definitely very generous but I thought it had a fun swing to it! I wore it all buttoned up one time and again unbuttoned with the Vince Drape Front Cardigan (see this item for alternate photo). I loved it more unbuttoned! This dress did not show as available for unlimited rental but I called to ask about it and it was, in fact, available!!

Simply fun

This dress is great. The lace neckline contrasted with the gold star shaped buttons make this loose fitting dress really interesting. The body of the dress is really free flowing and comfortable. It really looks best when buttoned to the top. While I don't feel like my arms are longer than average, the length of the sleeves ran a bit short for me, but that may have been the look the designer was after- it didn't bother me. I found this dress looks best when paired with black opaque tights and short black booties of the season. Anyhow, I received compliments on this look from several of my colleagues. By the way, I think this would also be a great choice for anyone that is expecting.

Beautiful and Unique

Didn't want to let this one go. It's a good length for cooler temps and the star button details are very pretty. The high Victorian lace neck is also very pretty. I paired with leather booties for a casual cocktail look.

Comfortable and fancy

The combo of the elements of this dress didnt totally work for me style-wise, but it is a beautiful, light, easy to wear dress. Pros: I love this kind of strong-shoulder, voluminous shape and the overally fit was perfect; the lace is gorgeous and just perfectly sexy as the plunge is sheer but covered; the fabric is extremely light so a good candidate for a long-sleeve dress in warmer weather. Cons: sleeves are a good 6 inches shorter than I would prefer them to be; buttons are like little throwing stars that lacerate your fingers (although they are cute).

Runs big - pretty neck & shoulders

It isnt that flattering of a dress. Especially for plus sized girls. I put a belt to help but idk i wasnt crazy about the fit. (Size down) The neck and shoulder pads make the dress!

Belt helps because this really runs large. I loved the details so I got this anyway. It's comfortable and would be good to wear for the holidays!

A tent, but a cute one

This is clearly a swing dress - it's not particularly flattering, but the details and print are cute. I grabbed a size up because it was available at the store and it was fine, although my typical size (8) would have looked better. I loved the lace and the star buttons

Beautiful, comfortable dress

This is just a lovely dress, which looks sharp with black boots and some small gold jewelry. I would DEFINITELY buy it if it were a little less expensive.

Fun and flattering for later pregnancy

I rented this at 24 weeks pregnant to wear to an art party, and plan to wear it again at 27 weeks to a rehearsal dinner. The design is really unique and fun, and it was comfortable and flattering over my belly. Highly recommend for second half of pregnancy. (I tried wearing at 21 weeks and thought it was too big.) I paired it with the black/white Nina Ricci clutch (also RTR) and got lots of compliments.

Super cute, easy to wear!

Loved this dress. Super easy to wear to work or out to dinner. The material and stitching feels and looks like high quality and it goes well with heels or booties.

Very high fashion look

I ordered the size that was available which ran large for me but still fit since the tunic isn't meant to be fitted anyway. Wore my hair up to show off the neck detail and received a lot of compliments! Very comfortable and unique

Finally got it!

I've been hunting down this dress for a while. Super cute babydoll style. Loved the slightly puffed shoulder and the lace and gold stars details. Might try 1 size down. I also had a bit of issue with the lace around the top collar. I might have steamed it to stand more upright.

So Comfy!

As soon as something reads Italian sizing, I feel I always should size up. This is not the case. I should have ordered true to my size. It was a bit big but perfect for a night out with my husband.

Runs large. Hides problem tummy areas.

It was a bit too bag lady for me. There's a lot of material on the bottom and bit too long. I was wanting to wear out on the weekend, but it's more of a wear to work dress. I won't be renting again.

Didn't end up wearing it.

Even with steaming the lining extends past the length of the dress and looks sloppy.
