I felt like an 'Almost Famous' version of myself at my rehearsal dinner in this dress. Vintage 70's vibes. The material is extremely high quality. The dress is long - I am 5'7'' and was wearing heels and it grazed the ground. The slip underneath is short, which I liked because it gave it a touch of sexy, but was still tasteful.

38r was perfect. Others have said the slip was short but I did not feel like it was. Dress is not overly heavy but is incredible quality. I loved it! Would rent again in a heartbeat!

Stunning lace, got a TON of compliments. Super fun to wear with the long skirt, I felt like a princess. I swapped out the slip and wore a nude leotard underneath for an edgier look. The slip was short and tight, but def wearable. I just wanted a more festive look for a rowdy Easter picnic.

Wore this dress for our anniversary photos! IT WAS PERFECT! The slip underneath was a little short but I went with it. I wore pasties for a bra. Didn't want any straps showing! It was a little large around the waste but you can't tell in photos! Gah, it was perfect!

The arms are a little tight as the fabric has no give. The slip is crazy tiny so I wore my own. Overall gorgeous!

I wore this dress for my garden-style engagement party. I had ordered another dress that didn't fit well so a stylist overnighted this dress the day before the party. It was perfect! The slip under is super short so size up (or 2) for your 2nd option and wear the slip from that. I have a big bust and the top fit just snuggly enough, but I'd recommend an unlined nude bra. The dress was really long even with tall wedges so I had a family member fold the bottom up a bit and put in a few thread stitches. All in all, I loved it and felt like the bride :)

This dress is really beautiful and unique. I wore it to my bridal shower (at a riding club) with a brown leather belt around the waist and brown leather wedge sandals. While I highly recommend this dress, you should note that the slip is EXTREMELY tight and short- I felt like I was pulling it down all afternoon. So, if you rent it, I definitely recommend getting a longer white slip to wear underneath. Other than that, this dress really is gorgeous and quite comfortable.

The outer layer is absolutely gorgeous, and runs true to size. The slip, however, was too small, very sheer, and so short it didn't cover my hips. I wore my own black slip instead, and added a black ribbon belt. It was truly gorgeous, and I got compliments on it all night. It was a huge hit!

I was mistakenly sent the size 4 slip and the size 6 dress. The slip was way too tight and short around my backside...I had to improvise by wearing my own white skirt underneath. Otherwise this dress was stunning and fun to wear...perfect length with heels, but careful about getting the heel caught.

I rented this in a 44 which I believes translates to an 8. I'm a size 6 and it was a kind of noticeable size too big on me but due to a dress mix-up I had to pick something out at the very last minute and this dress is beautiful and was close enough. However - be aware that the slip dress underneath is very short and I found it very difficult to pull down again upon standing after it would get hiked up from sitting. Very awkward! So I was self-conscious all evening that I was flashing a lot more of myself than I had intended. (The slip dress also felt a bit tight, especially considering the lace dress was overall too loose.) For that reason alone I wouldn't rent this dress again for an upcoming event. Otherwise I think it's just beautiful. Very different and I felt like I stood out but wasn't garish. Just wish that under dress was a few inches longer!

Loved this dress to change into for my wedding reception. I am 5'9 and this was the perfect length with flats. The slip is too short but I wore my own nude slip. Would definitely tent again!

The slip ran way small, but luckily I had one on hand. I thought my nude slip ended up looking better than the white slip anyway. The dress was great! Warm enough to keep me from freezing outside, but not so warm that I overheated on the dance floor. It definitely stuck out in a sea of thousands of black dresses! Would rent again.

It’s a nice dress if you are 20 u/o. This was chosen for me by rent the runway stylist since the dress that I initially picked was not available.

This was a fantastic dress. It fit beautifully. I wanted something for a formal Sunday brunch, and this worked perfectly. I am a solid size 8 (sometimes a 6) and the 42 fit perfectly. I'm 5'7" and wore 3 inch heels and sometimes the dress was slightly on the ground. I would rent this again in a heartbeat. My only small compliant is that the underslip is tight and short. I ended up putting a longer white slip underneath and that solved the problem. You can tell, however, this is an expensive dress, and it is extremely flattering.

The slip fit about 2 sizes smaller than the overlay and was way too short (stopped right at the bottom of my butt cheek). Unfortunately couldn't wear.

I rented this dress as a potential for my wedding rehearsal. Unforunately it didn't quite work. The dress was too short for my 6 foot frame (above ankle length) and was a little frumpy. The material was also kind of scratchy. Will be sending back and looking for another option.

The lace is very nice, but plan on wearing your own slip or dress under this!! I don't think the slip I received with the size 40 would have fit a 10 year old. I should have listened to other reviewers.
