I am a bit obsessed with this dress. The print is incredibly unique - it's a distinct look, featuring bold colors. I found the fit to be true-to-size. Nicely fitted through the waist, but definitely not overly tight. This dress is perfect if you're looking for something beautiful and distinct-looking, but with great coverage so you're not stuck fussing with a low neckline or short hemline

A little tight on the arms and a little difficult to bend over but other than that it was perfect! (i think a 4 would have been too big!) beautiful color and fit; perfect way to ring in my 20th birthday!

I can think of so many places you can wear it to. It's comfortable, fun, quality and elegant. I wore it to a date and loved it! One of those things you wish you had in your closet:)

The dress was perfect for the evening. It had a very classy, formal feel but was comfortable. I would have preferred to wear my normal size - an 8, however I wore the 10 as it fit small. It was large below the bust but didn't look overly big. I was super comfortable and felt great. I even received a compliment from Prabal Gurung himself as I wore it to an event honoring him.

The greatest compliment BY FAR that I received was when Prabal Gurung himself liked my photo on Instagram. I literally had a conniption when I saw it. This dress is absolutely divine. I felt guilty spending the money to rent this dress initially, still comforted a little by the fact that I didn't pay full retail for this. However, once the dress came in, I absolutely fell even more in love with it once I put it on. The fabric is wonderfully sturdy so you don't have to worry about anything showing through and it maintains a beautiful shape on your body. I recently lost a few lbs and was about 118 lbs when I wore this to a wedding. I typically wear a 4, but ended up wearing the 2 with the weight loss. Upon looking at the 4, it almost looked too big around the abdomen, and I'm usually a 4 depending on the style or design. The 2 was perfect without being skin tight and had some room to spare in the abdomen. I think your best bet is to get two sizes as the sheath design can be tricky on the body, especially if you're curvy. A good bra will make a huge difference with the shape of the dress on your body. Despite the lovely bateau neck, I had no issues with bra straps. I am not a busty girl, but if you are more endowed, it might be snug in the chest. Absolutely no complaints with this dress whatsoever. I was heartbroken returning this. Of all the dresses I have rented from RTR, this is by far the most beautiful one and beloved. I felt incredibly sexy without having to bare skin! This dress is phenomenal and worth the rental! I absolutely wish I could own this dress.

I read in previous comments that it runs small, and the only available size at the time was a 4, so I decided to order it. However, it was too big on me. I'm usually between a 2-4, but I probably should have gotten the 2. Either way, it's a beautiful dress. The design, the fabric - it was gorgeous.

I only got the 2, as the 4 was unavailable. I took my chances with one size because I wanted to try the dress so much. It is a gorgeous dress and looks expensive. The fabric is beautiful, and it is somewhat heavy, which I think makes the dress look and fit better. This worked for me as a pear shape. I also have a longer torso and this worked fine. My only criticism would be if you are going to be sitting for long or moving around much go a size up. This dress fit like a glove, which was fine for me standing at a cocktail party. However, the cut of the dress and weight of fabric don't give much. Wish I could have kept this dress...someone told me my eyes looked lavender like Elizabeth Taylor's!

First, this dress is amazing! Truly one of a kind, gorgeous and an immediate compliment receiver. The fit: I am an 8 at my normal and a 6 on a skinny day w stretchy material. I took the advice of everyone else who rented and went a size up from my normal to a 10. This was the perfect fit! (well almost TOO perfect). The catch: There was NO room for error and luckily I skipped eating the entire day and wore Spanx and stockings. And yes... it is necessary. The result: Because of how form fitting the dress is, it truly accentuated and hugged my curves in every right place. (most noticeable in the main picture around my (not so flat-but-appeared-flat) tummy and my hips and butt. The material: Difficult to describe but the dress is thin and has an inner lining that hugs you first which allows the second layer of the dress to keep the shape you see in the RTR website picture. I think this is what helps it to look so good on. It doesn't look like much in your hand... and is even not as impressive in the mirror, but on camera? OH MY WOW! The price: I was lucky enough to use a credit/gift card for my rental... still, it would have been worth the money for a legitimate occasion. A little pricey for a regular party but for a wedding, red carpet, photoshoot, gala, etc... it's going to give you back every bit it costs. My mom, the sweety, posted the picture of me on Facebook and said: "Princess Kate (Middleton) doesn't have a thing on my daughter! " (p.s. Princess Kate made this dress popular, unbeknownst to me when I rented it)

This dress was even prettier on than I expected. Elegant but comfortable and perfect for this formal but happy occasion. It also photographed beautifully. I would rent it again but wear a padded bra to fill out the top a bit better.

Wore this for a conservative, black-tie event attended by many friends and work colleagues, and was blown away by the incredibly high quality, perfect super-flattering fit, and stunning beauty. The print is so feminine with gorgeous saturated colors but cutting edge all at the same time. The dress stood out while striking the perfect elegant note and I felt on top of the world wearing it.

This might be my favorite RTR rental of all time! I wore this dress to my husband's work cocktail party and got loads of compliments. The print is bright and unique and the fabric is so luxurious--it just looks and feels like a high quality dress. I felt like I really stood out in a sea of little black dresses! It does run small (the dress was a little snug across my shoulders and around my hips), but all in all it fit like a glove and flattered my figure. I was bummed to mail this one back!

This dress and its fabric are even more gorgeous in person--it is a well made, high quality dress. For a C cup or below, this dress runs true to size and even has a little room in the hips. However, the 4 was tight around my 34DD bust. If I had sized up, the rest of the dress would have been to big. It worked for the short event I wore it to and I received tons of compliments. A show-stopper for the fashion-forward girl who isn't too well-endowned...

The arms were tight a d overall it's very structured so if it's at all small it can be uncomfortable. I recommend sizing up.

Beautiful design, lots of compliments. The dress was a little bit stretched in the belly area, but not really noticably so.

I am normally an 8/10, and this barely fit in the chest. I do have an E/F cup, however, so that is part of the problem. So okay, it's just a bit tight in the chest, right? Well, the other problem is that the seams aren't very well made, so the silk lining rises and shows. If it weren't so tight in the chest, it might drape better, then the silk lining might not creep up. (You can see the silk lining at the top of the dress in two of my photos.) But even if you are small chested and won't have that drape issue, the seems could be better; even at the bottom of the dress, the silk lining was sometimes creeping down and showing. This is less than ideal in a $200 dress, let alone a $2,000 dress! Still, the colors are pretty, and the pattern is distinctive.

Not much give in fabric and it might run just a tad small, so if you are a 2/4 go for the 4.

This dress is really pretty. The fabric on the dress I wore was quite worn down. I could tell it had been worn a lot. I was working in this dress o I didn't want it to fit tight. If I had not been working I probably would have worn a size 4. A lot of people said this dress runs small. I thought it was true to size, but it is a little snug in the arms, so if you have bigger arms or shoulders you may want to size up. It was also fitted in the high waist.

I loved this dress for my red carpet event in D.C. Still, the fit is very tricky. Since it has a boat neck, it was a little tight around the shoulders and hips. I'm not busty so that area was fine. Still, I was really glad I ordered two sizes because although I'm a 6, I liked the fit of the size 8 better.

Unfortunately a massive snowstorm in the days leading up to my formal event prevented delivery of my dress. I had to scramble and find one at Macy's on the morning of the formal. However, the RTR staff were SO exceptionally understanding and apologetic, even though the weather is clearly out of their control! They gave me a full refund and a 50% off discount to use for the future as compensation. I am so happy with my experience that I'm planning to rent again soon--here's hoping the snow holds off next year!

I think a smaller bust may have some extra fabric at top.

I would highly recommend this dress if RTR has your size. I rented this just for a date night out with my boyfriend and couldn't wear it because RTR sent me a size 6 and no 4. I am usually a 4-6 depending on the designer. In normal people clothing like Jcrew I wear anywhere between a 0-4. I was really excited to get this dress but pretty disappointed I couldn't wear it out. I wore it around the house just to see what it was like but the back buckled a lot for me. I was sent a 2nd dress in a size way too big that was not even comparable.

I wore this dress for our anniversary dinner at a formal venue. The fabric is beautiful and slightly shiny. The sleeves were a little snug, but overall the size 6 fit perfectly.

This dress is absolutely gorgeous and a showstopper when you walk it a room. I wore it for my daughter's communion and felt like a million dollars. I would definitely rent it again. It fits a bit snug, but true to size.

Pictures do not do this Prabal Gurung print justice. It is gorgeous and I felt amazing in it. I wore it to a work event and it stood out because it was so unique. I ordered a six but it was too big in the hips and I wish I had gone with a 4. Overall I loved it and like so many RTR dresses, I wish I could have bought it. Highly recommended. It would be great for a wedding.

I have never had so many compliments on a dress as I had with this one. The fabric is one of a kind. It is so rich and colorful and the pattern is so detailed. Women, men, my husband, all stopped to tell me what a gorgeous dress I had on. Winner!

The quality, cut and look of this dress is exceptional. Felt like the dress was custom made for me. A unique and outstanding look and I received many compliments on it..Loved the dress, suggested by the stylist.

Beautiful color and pattern- but it was a little boxy on me. I ended up going with something in a stretchier fabric. But it's a really lively and unique dress.

The fit was looser than normal for a 4, but the bust was really tight. Keep in mind that I have DD's, so it's a special case.

This dress is beautiful and I enjoyed wearing it. I could tell it had been worn many times before because it seemed like it had been dry cleaned repeatedly. The lining didn't lay right and the hem wasn't pressed correctly so I had to fuss with it a lot, which is more the dry cleaner's fault than RTR's. As far as fit goes, it was small in the arms/shoulder area (couldn't raise my arms very high), but fit well everywhere else.

I like this dress because of the beautiful print. I had my eyes on it for a while, but, because of the price, I never rented it. Then the dress I originally ordered for this fundraiser gala was not available. So, RTR, being as fab as they are indicated that I could pick any other dress, regardless of price. So, I was in luck that this was available & in my size! Due to the previous reviews, I decided to go up a size to 12. Good move. The dress fit me very nicely, not 'hootchie mama' tight. The sleeves were a bit more snug than I would've liked, but, it wasn't uncomfortable. the only problem I had was that the inner lining at the top of the neck kept peeking over the boatneck. I didn't want to put an iron to it, afraid that it may burn, so I let it be. Least to say, I got a hefty number of complements throughout the night. I felt very 'well to do' with the dress on. A plus, seeing the event that I attended. So, in ending, if you want to splurge, and the event calls for a dress like this, get it!

The dress is absolutely stunning! I typically wear a size 2 or 4 and only ordered the 4 which was big for me in the waist and hips but comfortable in the chest and perfect in the arms. I think the size 2 would have fit perfectly but may have been pretty form fitting as described by the other reviewer. I'll have to get that size next time.

This dress is AMAZING! straight of the runway and the quality is top of the line. I'm normally a size 6 and had to size up to an 8 in this. The 8 fit amazing but it has absolutely no give and I didn't feel 100% comfortable in it. Im a bit more curvy so I think it would be best for someone who is straight and narrow.

This dress is GORGEOUS! The fabric is light and the design is beautiful. Unfortunately, I have a wide rib cage and shoulders so I couldn't get the dress zipped up. Even if I had, it was loose in the midsection. This dress is definitely made for girls with a slim build.

I rented this for a late September evening wedding. It turned out to be much warmer than expected and this was not the perfect selection. The fabric was much too heavy for the temperatures and the skirt is much too straight for a curvy figure. It was also snug in the shoulders for me. It was not the dress for me and I was very sad.

The fit was strange for me. I'm an hourglass shape. The dress was way too big on me in the stomach area-so much that my friends said there was no chance I could wear it when I tried it on. It was sagging out quite a bit. Then, the chest area was pretty tight on me. I think this dress is for a woman who does not have curves-the "straight and narrow" type. It's a beautiful dress for the right body type.

I rented this dress for my wedding rehearsal dinner in a size 2 and 6 (4 was not available). When the dresses were shipped out to me I was informed by email that the size 2 was unavailable and I was sent 2 replacement dresses. The 6 was way too large and the zipper was messed up. I ended up wearing a different dress out of my own closet that I purchased as a back-up.
