Love this dress for every day but so glad I rented it during pregnancy. Plenty of room at this size and I'm getting compliments right away. I used some fashion tape to keep the collar folded back and bust closed. It's not right in the bust but the buttons are far apart so it's something to consider doing before wearing it.

Patou is one of the most hallowed fashion houses of the past century - and this dress is a worthy representation of the quality, style and functionality of Patou. The print is exquisite - unicorns and satyrs, angels and axes this is pure fantasy in shades of violet. The material is a very high quality cotton poplin and the button are easy to open and close. The ruffles on the shoulder don’t overwhelm and are flattering - especially if your upper arms aren’t perfectly toned. Comfortable and practical with deep, well placed pockets I received multiple compliments from women - I was even stopped on the street twice. The fit is true to size. Ordering down could backfire if you have a larger cup size or arms because there is zero stretch. The style is supposed to be voluminous and flowy - just use the tie at the waist to accentuate your shape. Tip This is a full skirted dress - undo a couple of buttons on the bottom to show a hint of leg. There’s zero risk of showing too much and the peek is flirty but office appropriate.

Should be ironed, especially the belt, to look best. There are two photos (for me, more than one phone is only viewable on desktop web browser settings- not in the app on iPad or mobile view browsers on Android- very weird). One highlights under arm- it's perfect for wearing a regular bra and doesn't gape. The other is to highlight the pattern on the bottom of the skirt. It's mythological, I didn't see it as inappropriate for work. There's ZERO suggestive sexual imagery, just the outline of creatures and figures in that gorgeous purple color. I personally loved how unique and artsy it is. Maybe the outline of the backside of a cherub-like creature would offend some people? Some people say don't size down because it's supposed to be voluminous & not to risk not fitting a large bosom- sure. But I'm a solid size 10 right and wore the size 42/US 8 in this photo with a 36DDD/E chest and had plenty of room in the bosom. I'd actually like to see how the 40/US 6 would fit! I think you'd still get the volume with the skirt? Maybe the shoulders would be a little tight? But I think you can safely size down 1 size like I did- two would be riskier. This is a very fun rental, unique and a chance to wear Patou! I'd think about buying this but it's probably too unique to wear regularly enough to justify the price. Challenge yourself to try this out! You might regret it but I didn't.

This dress is so much prettier in person than in the photos. The fabric pattern is gorgeous, the feel of the fabric is smooth and soft, and it's full shape moved beautifully. It's also comfortable and wore well when I traveled. This is definitely one of my favorites and I received compliments every time I wore it.

This is a high quality luxury brand that I typically love but this dress was giving maternity. There is just way too much material for a petite. The tie at the waist helps some but not enough. I felt like a puffy duvet cover. The design is cute and I got one compliment. If you're tall I'd say rent this!

I got it because of the reviews. Yes, the pattern is… interesting. But it’s more mythology than devil, ya know? It was adorable and I loved it. (Except yes, it is a lot of fabric.)

Perfect dress for a daytime park party! You can really cinch it in with the belt provided or swap for a different belt. The colour and detailed pattern were divine. Tons of compliments on this one! There is a ton of volume in the skirt, but fits true to size. You'd also be safe to size down, though, just with the amount of room provided. Loved the pockets too!

I loved this dress and if it wasn't for the price it would be in of my closet forever!! I wore it to a work trip and got endless compliments. not too heavy for 100 degree weather in LA and was good for my 5'-3" height. I'm still considering buying this because I would wear it for the rest of my life and pass it on to my children !!

Like what others wrote, this dress has a lot of extra fabric at the bottom. But it was good, if you're looking for something fancy - it's not for an everyday use. It ran a little big.

Some of these images are a liiiiittle scandocious so if your work place is conservative be CAREFUL Super flattering though

I am usually a size 2 but this felt more like a 4/6 on me. The tie helps you hide the larger size/it's really cute though

As other reviewers have mentioned, this dress runs very large. I'm normally a size 4 and wore the European size 34 which is a 0 and there was plenty of room in the top. I'd say the 0 would fit up to a US size 6 or maybe even 8. The fabric quality and print are gorgeous! The skirt is SO full. It's not super flattering due to the volume of fabric in the skirt. That being said, I really like the dress. It runs rather long so if you are under 5'7 you may have issues.

Size down 2 perhaps even three sizes. This dress has yards and yards of skirt fabric. It's also very roomy in the bust. Belt can make waist fit in any size. Pockets are a nice touch. Came to my ankles and I'm 5'5. The print is totally not scandalous - not sure what that other reviewer saw that I didn't!

I was unable to wear this dress because it was so massive. The fabric and design are beautiful. But it would have fit two of me inside it. It looked unflattering, so it was never worn.

The dress needed to be tied SO TIGHTLY to look like I had a waist. I chose not to wear it because of this. The material and print are gorgeous, this had pockets so that would have been great for work specifically.

Also, they send me the dress without the belt so its hard to cinch it.

The pattern on the fabric is... demonic. I understand that people have different views and beliefs, but as a conservative Christian mom, I wish I would have known. I guess I was distracted by the cut and color.... However, in person, it is plain as day.
