First and foremost this dress is beautiful. It is not for meant for a busty girl, even if you are petite. The color and the material (100% silk) were what made the dress. It does have a lot of material, I thought it would make me feel "hippy" but it is cut so beautifully, I didn't feel that way at all. Def recommend it! Oh, also my dress came pretty wrinkled had to go purchase a steamer last min to get all the wrinkles out, kind of a bummer but worth it.

The material is silky (don't know if it is 100% silk but it feels like so) and flows beautifully. The color is AMAZING! Overall It runs true to size, although the top was a little loose for me. Taped it a little bit and problem solved!

The dress was really long so while I was dancing I had to hold the two panels of cloth at the back of the dress. By the end of the dance, the wiring in the bodice did poke into my back. Other than these two things, the dress was absolutely amazing! I loved the ombre look, as well as the flowy feel. I got a lot of compliments on the dress and I felt like a princess!

I wore this dress to my sorority formal. Overall, I thought it was gorgeous and very flattering. The dress itself has a built-in bodice that zips up by itself before you zip up the outer dress. Although I could've gone braless in the 6 because of this bodice, it flattened my girls too much (I'm a 32DDD), so I went with the 8 and wore a corset-type undergarment to make sure it stayed up since the 8 was a little big in the waist. The 8 was a tiny bit long (the 6 was the perfect length; I'm 5'1") even with my 5-inch wedges, but I could still walk and dance without worrying about stepping on the hem. I had to pull the dress up a few times over the course of the night, but that wasn't a big deal to me. One thing that surprised me is that there are two strips of fabric at the back that are a tiny bit longer than the rest of the dress, making a beautiful bit of a train.

This dress and my back up arrived on time and both looked amazing. It fit very well, a little tight at the top but that meant it stayed up all night dancing. I wore 6 inch heels and it was a little bit short. With 4 inch heels it would have been perfect. The colour and design of the dress are amazing in person. I definitely recommend this dress.

Great dress! I loved how the fabric flowed. It runs a little small, I typically wear a 4 but needed a size 6. My only complaint is that even with the boning in the torso, I had to keep pulling the dress up to make sure I wouldn't have a wardrobe malfunction. Loved this dress and highly recommend it!

I got too many compliments to count when I wore this dress. It is 100% silk and fits like a glove. It is free flowing below the midsection, so my body flaws were not visible. (Big butt and not-so-smooth thighs). The corseted waist served to hold up the dress, so I rarely had to pull it up. The top was a bit small if you are large busted. I wore a 6L, am a 36 C, so I had to be careful not to have "muffin boob". Make sure to hold the dress it you are in a crowded room as the train is flowing and people will step on it. The RTR process is so easy! I will never buy another gown, renting is the way to go!

I didn't really like the look of the dress on the model, but my friend encouraged me to get it anyway, and it was BEAUTIFUL in person. The 6 fit almost perfectly- the top did slide down a tiny bit, but I wasn't constantly adjusting or anything, just normal strapless problems ;). I'm very tall and it was plenty long. I wore flats, but probably could have worn 2 or 3" heels. I'd definitely recommend it!

I wore this to my daughter's debutante ball. I usually wear a 6, but read the reviews and did need the next size up. I am 5'10" and wore 4 inch heels and the length of the 8L was perfect, it still hit the floor. So many compliments of it being the best dress in the room. It looked unique and different from all the other dresses. The box with the two dresses came in time. Will definitely rent again.

Overall a great fit. Very snug around the midsection. A little loose up top without a bra. Had to pull it up a few times during the night. Loved loved loved this dress. Wanted to add some color to my evening instead of the typical common "black" gown. It was a hit!

I felt beautiful in this dress. I wore it for a NYE Masquerade Ball, it was perfect. I can't wait to use RTR again. I normally wear a size 2 in jeans & this dress fit perfect. This dress was wonderful!!!

RTR really came through this time around. The original dress I had picked got held up in shipping and wasn't going to make it to me in time for NYE. RTR rectified the situation quickly and over- nighted 2 new dresses at no additional cost! I'm glad I was forced to pick something else to wear because I fell in love with this dress! The dress came with a little bit of pilling in a few areas (I guess that's to be expected with such a delicate fabric such as silk). It was true to size, although it felt a little tight through the rib cage in the beginning but that was okay because it held me in so well, I didn't need to wear a bra with this dress. The regular was the perfect length in 4 1/2 heels. My only complaint is the tiny train in the back, I had to be careful not to step on it. Awesome dress and wonderful customer service, thank you RTR!

I had several technical difficulties with my dress. The zipper was broken, and there were a few snags in the chiffon. However, once I got into the dress, it was amazing. It was comfortable because you don't have to wear a strapless bra. Though, I would watch out if you have a D cup bust or higher like me. The top did not fit as well as I'd like. If you're short, wear high heels. I had to wear 4.5 inch heels. That said, I felt like a princess and received several compliments.

I ordered my usual size 6 and a 4 as back up. I wore the size 6. The dress arrived 2 days prior to my event so I had time to purchase shoes based on the length. I am 5'5 and needed a 4 inch heel. The dress comes with a built-in bodice so no bra is needed. I am a 34B and it fit perfectly. The dress is elegant and flowing. It will not disappoint. Trust me! Many compliments throughout the evening. I will use RTR again- next month! :)

I could not have been happier with this dress! So incredibly beautiful and elegant. I received an insane amount of compliments on it all night long. The pictures do not even do it justice!

I felt so lucky to have worn this dress. I received so many compliments and felt like a princess. The pictures came out amazing and I didn't have any significant problems with the dress whatsoever. I am small busted so I had to wear a push up strapless bra so if you are at least a B cup you should be fine. I only had to pull it up a few times during the night. Also, if you are 5'4" or shorter this dress might not be a great choice. Although I had a wonderful experience wearing it, I'm 5'2" and the dress was incredibly long on me, even with 5 inch heels on! I would definitely recommend this dress for any tall ladies out there. The fit was great, no complaints! Overall this dress was a winner. I had a great night and was so happy to have worn this beautiful gown. It will not let you down!

First off let me just say that RTR came thru like heroes during Hurricane Sandy and I couldn't be more grateful! I originally ordered 2 dresses to be delivered however both became unavailable due to the storm, but RTR contacted me and allowed me to pick out dresses regardless of the price for replacement!!! I was beside myself when this offer was made and chose this beauty of a dress!!! I am 5'3, 34b, 115 lbs, normally a size 2 or 4 and wore the 4R to a beach wedding. I wore a 4inch heel with it and it was the perfect length. The color photographed more on the purple side but the dress is the color shown on the website. The detail of this dress was AMAZING... truly a stunner in person! I received so many compliments on the dress all night and even more so on the customer service with how RTR came thru in a pinch! It was painful to return this dress! Anyone looking for a stop you dead in your tracks dress - this is it! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! <3 Thank you RTR for an amazing dress and impeccable service!! I loved this dress! It came in on time the day before my event and fit almost perfectly! Not to mention no one else had a dress like this. I was worried about the length, but it was perfect with my 3" heels! I had just a couple of complaints about the dress: the boning at the top of the dress was coming through the fabric, and it was poking me by the end of the night; also, the bust was a bit small for me, so I'd recommend ordering a size up for your backup if you have a larger bust. Despite these things, I had a wonderful night and would order this dress all over again!

This dress was an alternative that didn't fit. It was too large in the top so that the boning "buckled". It was also quite short. With no shoes, it was just off the floor, I couldn't have worn heels with it.

This dress is simply gorgeous! I ended up letting my friend wear it because it didn't fit me right, and she looked like a goddess! I was so jealous all night! You definitely can't go wrong with this dress!

The other reviews are very helpful. This is definitely a better dress for a smallish busted woman who can take the corset like top but the flowing if the silk was beautiful. . I definitely needed 3" heels with the long size. Would not recommend for a crowded event as people are likely to step on the train in back frequently.

It is flowy, it is soft, it is gorgeous...but it ran too small for my bust. Which was a bummer because it is an amazing gown.

It fit beautiful and was tru to size, I ended up wearing my primary dress, but will rent this again for another event.

I LOVE this dress! It is absolutely elegant and so tastefully designed. The interwoven deep purple and black colors are a stellar combination. I thought the 2R may be a size too big since I'm typically a 0 but this dress fit me perfectly. I wore 3" heels to make the dress a perfect length (it did not drag on the ground) - though the back of the dress dragged a little bit but it's part of the design. The dress was also super fun to play with since the "tails" in the back can be picked up and played with given the multi-layer design. This dress is a head-turner (not in a "she's so hot way" but rather in a "she's so elegant way").

It was very easy to wear, did slide off (am not that full chested!) and fit with easy.

It fit really small--i tried it on the showroom and thank god I did because the 4R barely zipped. They gave me a 10R and that fit more like a 6. I ended up getting the 8R and the 6R as my back up and went with the 6R but could have done the 8R too. It was a beautiful dress otherwise. Note that the dress is made up of panels--it's not one whole overlay on the bottom, but several panels that stream down from the waist. This isn't a problem but just FYI.

This was a back-up dress that I ordered based on pictures posted by other RTR members. I loved this dress - the top of it is just gorgeous and the bottom flows like a dream. It has an ombre look to it which doesn't show right in the standard picture of the dress and the back has a bit of a train to it. I ordered a regular instead of a long and the dress was just too short to wear with heels so I opted for another dress - looking forward to renting this one in the right size the next time I need a gown!

I loved this dress and received many compliments. A great fit for an early baby bump!

It was too small so def get a size up from your normal size.

This was my back-up dress so I never wore it but thought it was a beautiful dress. I am normally a four/six but the bust in this was a little small so I would have needed a 8.

I got this dress as a backup for a formal event. The dress was beautiful, and I would have ended up wearing it, except that it was too small for my chest. It fit perfectly otherwise. I'm usually a size 0-2, so I didn't think I'd need a 4. Next time I have a formal event I might rent this in a size larger.

I wore this dress to my senior prom. It was beautiful and I received a TON of compliments on it, but it was very VERY snug and I ended up getting a headache/changing out of the dress halfway through the night (I wish I had worn the 8L instead!). I had thought that it would be fine if I just didn't wear a bra with it, but when you're running around a ballroom and dancing the night away you actually do need to be able to breathe, I found out. So if you're going to wear this, get a size (or two!) up from what you'd normally wear and if anything just wear a strapless bra with it. Also, some of the spokes in the bodice of the dress were poking through and bothering me, so beware of those and bring some tape or something to cover them up. It was also furiously hard to zip up, but that may have been a side effect of wearing a size too small. Still, the dress was gorgeous and if I could I would rent it again. A size up.

This dress is VERY purple, it fit well, even if it was a bit snug in the chest, and everyone was offering up compliments. My only complaint would be that part of the boning in the bodice had poked through the fabric and by the end of the night I had a large raw spot. Regardless of that I loved the way this fit and the fabric was unbelievably soft! Beware though ladies at my event, a small one at that, there were two of us wearing this dress!

I wasn't able to wear this gown as it ran small. Next time I will go up a size.

The dress did not have any stretch in the rib cage section. It was absolutely gorgeous, but if you don't have a super narrow rib cage, it's going to be difficult to breathe. :)

I rented this dress for a black-tie wedding. It fit pretty well overall, but I had two problems with it as night wore on. 1) The boning in the sides really started to dig in after a while, especially when I was sitting. 2) The extra fabric in the back was stepped on numerous times and made it uncomfortable to boogie on the dance floor. I kept having to make sure it was out of the way and nobody was stepping on it. I suppose it would work a little better with higher heels or a taller person. The dress also arrived a day late, which gave me a mini panic attack. The courier service did not have consistent tracking. Good thing I had ordered it to come 2 days in advance. In short, not my favorite RTR experience.

I rented this for a formal affair at a museum. From the photo, you would think that the dress would fit a curvier shape due to the flowy skirt. Unfortunately, the linking was very narrow, making the dress unwearable for me. Too bad, because it really is a beautiful dress.

This dress was my first choice for a black-tie event, but I didn't end up wearing it due to sizing issues. The long size wasn't available, so I took a risk and got the regular. The bust was the right fit, but at my height, it was about 2 inches too short. It was a gorgeous dress, but I was also slightly surprised that it retails for more than $2k -- I probably wouldn't choose it again for the rental price, even if my size was available.

I usually wear an 8 or 10 in dresses and this was nowhere near a normal dress size. I have a pretty large bust, also, so that didn't help. This dress is very very beautiful and flowing and just lovely, but it's certainly made for a tall, slim and small-busted woman. If you are that woman, GET THIS DRESS! You won't regret it. For the rest of us, there are plenty of other beautiful dresses out there. :)
